He sniffed and looked up at the pair with his best impression of a kicked puppy. It had always worked before when he had wanted something so hopefully it would work again. He held Miss Kitty close to himself and got up slowly and sniffed some more.

"Will you help me find them? Please? I don't want to be alone anymore! Please!" He sniffled and hiccuped pitifully using his childish appearance to his advantage.

"I haven't been able to find them in forever and I hate to be alone. I'll behave I promise! I just want my brothers back!" he walked slowly closer to them abandoning his sword and having it go back to the shadows he called ti from to try and show the pair he wasn't going to fight.

"I never tried to get your names did I? I'm Kadaj."

Hakai remained wary, though he relaxed a bit. "That guy is bipolar", he commented, not caring that the young man could hear him. "And I don't trust him one fucking bit."

"Mhm." Ashur nodded quickly in Hakai's direction, getting the same impression. He, too, was still careful. The aggressive aura had vanished somewhat, but Ashur could very well tell that Kadaj was trying to trick them into helping them, though Ashur couldn't say if it was because he wanted to lure them into a trap or because he really just wanted to get back to his family. "Are your brothers in this area?" he asked. He knew the Idalani falls a bit and he could fly, carrying Hakai on his back if things got really worse, so he was willing to help, albeit only carefully.

"Ashur?! I fucking told you I'm not charity!" Hakai growled. "I don't want to be stuck with this guy! He's crazy!"

"Now, now." Ashur chuckled. "You called him our child, so you better act the part of the mother now, my dear."

"What the--?! The mother?! Of him!? Are you dumb?! And if anyone, you are the mother, you too-soft moron! He'll murder us as soon as we turn our backs to him!" Hakai stared at Ashur, not believing what he was hearing.

Ashur had trouble to suppress his laughter, enjoying to lure Hakai into little traps while making sure the Lucain was focused on him instead of insulting Kadaj more and maybe triggering another mood swing. "My name is Ashur and this is Hakai", the Seraphent answered to Kadaj's introduction. "Please do not mind Hakai, he can be a bit rude. I think we might be willing to help you look for your family, but you will walk in front of us so we don't have to fear attacks from behind."

"What the hell, Ashur, I said no!" Hakai hissed, hating to be ignored by the Seraphent and be confronted with the fact that he really had no choice but to go along with what Ashur decided because of their Spiritbond.

He only recieved another chuckle as answer, though. "You only disagreed with being the mother, Hakai. So well, be the father all you want", Ashur hummed. "Shall we look around with our child then, dear 'husband'?"

"Wh--?! I--! You---! You goddamn perv, what is wrong with you today!? Is this fucking place cursed or something! I'm not your husband! This is not our child! I--! The images, they burn! I'll barf! You fucking creep!" Hakai was, for once, rather speechless.

Ashur happily ignored Hakai some more. The Lucain had, again, not disagreed with helping Kadaj, after all.

"I don't know where they are to tell the truth. I haven't seen them since last month." He giggled at the two bickering about being parents and went up to them setting his pet down and changing back into his draculi form.

"Thank you so much!" He opened his arms up in offering of a hug to Ashur smiling widely. He suddenly trusted the strange man and found him to be funny. If only because he made Hakai pissy.

"So you're going to be my parents now? You won't order me around like Mother will you?" He looked up at Ashur innocently and questioningly. He seemed to not get that it was merely a joke.

"Last month?!" Hakai stared. "Is that a joke? Why would they stay here for so long?! This is a joke! Ashur, let's go!"

"They're probably searching for him as well, so there's no reason to assume they left the area." The Seraphent looked at Kadaj. It was clear that Kadaj seemed to have trouble to really understand the world around him and seemed to be a bit off. Hopefully, his brothers wouldn't leave someone like that alone. Still, a month? "We can only help you to search Idalani, though", Ashur told the now-again-Draculi. He hesitated a bit when Kadaj approached him.

"Ashur!?" Hakai fell back into his fighting stance at once.

"No malicious aura", Ashur quickly assured Hakai and returned the hug of the other creature, even though only rather short and warily. He had to chuckle then, though. "Yes, indeed, we'll be your parents. And I'll be a nice mother and not order you around cruelly unless you behave too badly."

"What the fuck." Hakai felt like bashing his head against something. "As if you alone weren't enough! Two fucking teases! I swear I'll murder someone here if you guys keep that up!"

"Hmm." Ashur looked at Kadaj. "Hakai, I am not sure he is teasing. In fact, I think Kadaj here had taken us quite seriously. So no, no teasing. Be a good parent now."

"What the fucking hell?!" Was that a sick joke or something?! "I'm not a parent! I don't even like children! And I don't like you, so why the fuck should I want to be a family with two nutcases like you guys?!"

Ashur chuckled. He wasn't sure himself how innocent or how calculating Kadaj was, but it was fun to tease Hakai a bit and if it kept the bipolar boy cheerful instead of violent, it was all worth the effort. "So your mother didn't treat you well, Kadaj? What about your father?" Ashur curled his tail around Hakai again before the Lucain could jump out of the way. "I assure you, Hakai might seem rather angry all of the time, but deep down, he cares. We'll be good parents."

"Ashur, this is the fucking last warning--", Hakai growled, especially when Ashur leaned in.

"Listen, as I said, it sounds like he got abused. It might do him good to have a good family for at least a bit and see that violence isn't needed, so play along~" Ashur whispered - and then nuzzled Hakai.

"I'll fucking kill you!" the Lucain roared and freed himself not all that gently from the embrace when he noticed that Ashur would let it happen this time.

"He's just embarrassed by affections in public", Ashur hummed happily in Kadaj's direction. "Well then, shall we? Can you show us where you saw your brothers the last time?"

"I don't have a father. I never had one. Though some say that oldest brother is really Father." He smiled at them and laughed at Hakai's anger. He let Miss Kitty jump up onto his head and smiled again at the pair.

"I'll take you there." He began to lead the way towards one of the falls that no one else seemed to be around. He went right up to the water and then behind the waterfall. "Come on! It's back in here!" He lead them into a rather large cavern just hidden out of sight.

The cavern dripped with water and it it was surprisingly bright inside. A shallow pool was inside and Kadaj jump right into it and splashed around happily.

"This is where we first arrived here on Evelon. We came here looking for a Turk but he got boring. We decided to stay but got separated so I thought they'd come back here to look for me but I still haven't seen them."

Ashur paused slightly, having a bit of trouble to understand what Kadaj was trying to say. "So your father left your mother while she was pregnant and your oldest brother helped her raising you?" he tried. "That sounds like a hard childhood. Hakai, seems like you should put some extra effort into being a good father."

Hakai snorted. "Or maybe it means that his brother fucked his mother and there is some creepy incest crap going on there. Given how wrong in the head he is, I wouldn't be surprised. And I still don't give a shit about your little family play."

"I, as your wife, wish you would be more affectionate", Ashur teased, if only to have Kadaj laugh at the banter some more instead of making him dwell longer on Hakai's implications. It wasn't that Ashur had ruled out that rather perverse idea, it was just that he merely rather wanted to believe in a more intact family, no matter what Kadaj's mental health seemed to indicate.

"I swear I'm gonna be that kind of husband that beats his wife senseless if you don't drop that shit", Hakai growled.

"You know I'm stronger, dear. I'd be the wife chasing you with the rolling pin instead. But maybe you just need another hug and lots of love~" The Seraphent made his way closer to Hakai, who fled forward with curses, but shut up for the moment, knowing that Ashur was right. Ashur hummed softly and continued to follow Kadaj.

Neither Ashur nor Hakai had known about the cavern before. Ashur, thanks to his size and being a winged creature, wasn't happy to squeeze himself into it, but followed the Draculi and the Lucain without complaining and then looked at the pool. "You...came here? From where? Did your family use a teleportation spell?" Of course, there had always been rumors about people coming to Evelon from other worlds, but Ashur had never met anyone like that before. Kadaj surely looked like a normal Draculi and shapeshifting was normal in Evelon.

"Turk?" Hakai frowned. "What the heck is-- oh, you mean a turkey? Or a Turkezilla? Stupid birds. Birds suck." He grinned at Ashur, who calmly folded his wings closer to his body and didn't seem at all bothered by the hidden insult, being used to them.

"Are your brothers Draculis like you?" the Seraphent instead asked.

"And as batshit insane as you?" Hakai added. "If they are, they shouldn't be too hard to find, after all."

"No I mean the doctor made me from mother's and big brother's cells. There was no 'fucking' involved." He scowled at Hakai and threw a small rock at him. "Big brother would never fuck Mother! That's just, just ew!" He shook the thought out of his head.

"We came from Gaia. And yeah we kind of used a spell from the materia we sto-I mean acquired." He smiled trying to cover up his mistake.

"Not a turkey! A Turk, you know, uh, like a spy or hired killer! Yeah like that!" He could not believe that people had not heard of Turks, espcially since this worls was now crawling with them. It wouldn't be long before ShinRa came over to to take over.

"No, Yazoo's a fellox, and Loz is an albi." He sent a deadly glare Hakai's way and sneered at him. "My brother's are not crazy! Especially Yazoo. He's alway really calm and smart. Loz is kind of a big dumby but he's loyal and strong."

Hakai simply sidestepped to dodge the rock, but barely managed to do so in time because he had problems to control his laughter. "That's called, what? Artificial insemination or whatever shit? It's still incest. Hahaha, that's so sick!"

"W-well...this is hardly the fault of this boy", Ashur quickly added and sighed, noticing the little slip of Kadaj. What kind of family was this? Ashur had to admit that he would probably feel better if Kadaj would end up in a place where he could get mental help instead of returning to such a twisted family. "Where is your mother, then?" he asked instead. "Did she remain at your home?"

"I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. A spy or a hired killer? Yeah, right. As if someone would hire someone as crazy as you to deal with some dangerous killer-bird." Hakai snorted.

"Hakai, he's from another world. If he says a 'Turk' is not a bird, it's probably not." Ashur gently reminded him.

"Come on, Ashur, don't be dumb. He and his brothers are obviously very much species from here. So either that world he's from has the exact same races - yeah, how likely - or he's from here and retarded enough to think he's from some other place. I'll continue to believe that he came here chasing a fucking bird, because that seems like something he'd do." Hakai inspected the pool. "Anyway, any magic here?"

"No." Ashur shook his head. "But if it has been a month, there would be no traces of a spell be here anymore anyway. Let's look around. Maybe we'll find a hint if his brothers have been here after they got separated." Ashur nodded at Kadaj. "Your brothers sound very different from you. Your family must be really interesting."

"It especially sounds as if they're less crazy, but I'm not betting on that yet", Hakai grumbled and started to look around. He hated getting his fur wet, especially in these cold days. Freezing sucked.

"Big brother didn't have a choice!! And Mother's only his mother cause the fucked up asshole injeced her cells into him when he was a fetus! So fuck you!" Kadaj screamed at Hakai and hissed. He did not like this one bit and would not tolerate it any longer. Even if he no longer obeyed Mother he still defended her, as it was reflex by now.

He turned to look at Ashur and tried to calm down. "Yeah we kind of tried to kill her since she wanted to destroy the world. She used us to get what she wanted and we didn't realize it until we got our asses handed to us by Cloud."

"Ever consider that we use magic to fit in with you idiots?! So yeah fuck you you piece of shit! It's not like we enjoy running around smelling all nasty! We like being human but we got to look like this or you all freak on us like some of you did we we first got here!" He huffed and kicked water at Hakai getting him wet.

"We came from different human mothers but Mother is inside us so we are brothers in a way. Cloud explained to us that Mother is like an alien parasite and that's why she was able to control us," he explained solemnly.

Kadaj started looking around and sniffed at the ground trying to scent if his brothers had been here. Smelling nothing but water and dust he snorted in anger and sat down. He didn't see any signs so far and was getting frustrated.

A small bird chirruped in the canopy above the squabbling group's head, it's beady eyes curiously soaking up the surroundings, and paying no heed to the biting cold that would usually tell the other birds to head north to the dry Wilt'no region. It hadn't noticed the group below earlier but as they passed it's roosting spot, it cocked it's head to inspect the group. Of course, nothing but food or survival thoughts drifted through the animals unintelligent mind and no one in the group seemed like food or (from this range) dangerous, but there was some scraps of a berry on the ground that had gone unnoticed.

Taking this opportunity, the bird flitted down to the group and had almost reached the tasty food, when all of a sudden the Draculi-human screamed. The bird squeaked in fear, hastily abandoned all thoughts of food and turned tail to flee. Though in it's haste, a Red Feather had fallen off it's body and come to a rest near the Seraphent.

Ashur watched the little bird fly away out of the corner of his eyes and sighed. Of course Hakai was upsetting Kadaj - the Seraphent supposed he should be grateful that Kadaj wasn't attacking them again. He wasn't really sure what to make of what the Draculi said, though - it all seemed pretty crazy, far-fetched and twisted, though if he really came from another world, Ashur had no right to judge.

Hakai, of course, wasn't as tactful. "No interest in getting fucked by you, so very sorry", he sneered. "Don't want your, what, 'cells injected into me'? You guys have the most weird words for sex I've ever heard."

"Hakai, that is enough", Ashur softly said. He really didn't want another fight.

"Come on." Hakai laughed. "That guy is insane. His brother is his father and his mother wanted to destroy the world and is an 'alient parasite'? Do you believe that shit?"

"Well, I..." Ashur hesitated. He, of course, did not, but he didn't want to upset Kadaj more. "It is another world..." he finally just said, though he gave Hakai a small nod, making sure that his companion understood that Ashur had very much the same opinion.

However, there was seemingly little Ashur could do to stop Hakai and Kadaj from arguing, especially not now that Kadaj seemed to have mentally aged all of sudden quite a bit more. Hakai was just amused at first, though. "Yeah, I'm sure the concept of washing your fur is too high to you to understand", he snorted, but then hissed angrily when Kadaj splashed water onto him, soaking him further. "You little piece of crap--!"

Ashur sighed. "Kadaj, please don't do that. Hakai and I need to travel and we can't have Hakai getting sick. My feathers repel water, his fur does not and given it's winter, this isn't good. Hakai, come here."

"No." Hakai shook himself, splashing water everywhere. "I won't get sick, fuck off, Ashur. I hate you anyway and today, you're far too much of a creep for me to allow you to--hey!" Hakai tried to jump to the side when Ashur's tail wrapped itself around his legs, but he was too slow. The Seraphent curled up around Hakai, resting his head on his back in the end and then started to emit his warming, golden aura. "Lemme go, Ashur", Hakai growled, though with less force. The warm aura was nice, he was freezing and he wanted to be dry again. Still, getting help and getting hugged from and by Ashur was still degrading enough. It wasn't like he was able to do anything against the Seraphent, though, and so he settled for glaring at Kadaj.

"That's a good husband, all nice to cuddle", Ashur commented cheerfully, ignoring the growl he got from Hakai in return.

Kadaj snarled at Hakai and lashed out at him with his claws. "It wasn't sex! It was a scientist's fault! I'll prove it to you! I'll drag his damned ass out here and prove it to you!" He turned around and with a huff stormed out of the cave.

Muttering to himself angrily he chaned back to his human form and pulled out his matera he had used to get here and pushes his will into it. Energy crackled around him and he chuckled darked darkly. He prove that loud mouth asshole wrong. He was not insane. He was more sane then those two combined. A brigth light flashed and in it's place a sickly man stood.

The man coughed and growled before noticing Kadaj. "Ahh Lost Soul it seems we meet again. Heh heh heh..." He pushed his glasses up his crooked nose and smiled cruelly.

"Oh shut up you freak! I need you to prove to some assholes that Gaia and Mother are real! Tell them! After all I know just how much you like to talk about your experiments." Kadaj glared at the man and shooed him towards the cave. "Get in there and talk to them!"

Hojo walked into the cave and chuckled. He had never seen a serraphant before and found this one to be a good example of it's species. Maybe he could even use it for his latest project....He grinned and sauntered up to the pair.

"Hello there. My name is Dr. Hojo. Lost Soul here tells me that you have not heard of my great projects." He snickered to himself before continuing. "Am I to assume he has spoken of his Mother as he has taken to calling her?"

Hakai was not happy. He was trapped in Ashur's grip, he was still a bit wet and he was...comfortable. Damn Ashur and his fucking aura! He wanted to be angry at the Seraphent, but all he felt right now was the wish to curl up where he sat and sleep. "Lemme go...", he protested weakly. "You heard him. Fucking shit..."

Ashur sighed sadly, but didn't move. "Yes. I am aware, don't worry. But it seems we have a few minutes and I don't want you to run around wet outside. You'll really catch something and you're quite the handful when you are sick."

"Shut up...", Hakai mumbled. "We're in trouble. We need to prepare..."

"We're always in trouble, Hakai, and as such, we're always prepared", Ashur gently responded.

Hakai managed a weak snort. "But this time, it's your fault, for once. Believing this crazy nutcase..."

"Yes, indeed. I am sorry for that. He reminded me of you, back then, and so I was willing to give him a chance." Ashur lifted his head. "I wonder what awaits us now."

"A fight, what else?" At least a bit of Hakai's wit returned when Ashur and with that his aura wasn't completely surrounding him anymore. "Little fucker...moaning about being all alone and without his insane family when he is obviously not and has obviously someone - a scientist, how wonderfully fitting - who can very much accompany him. Luring us into this cave with the waterfall so that no one outside would hear any screams...how very clever. Not only did he obviously want to tilt the odds of battle in his favour when he noticed he couldn't win, he also seemingly wanted us away from where we could get help. Scientist...well, I have magically appearing, golden fur and you are the only Light Seraphent there is. Crafty little bugger."

"So it seems." Ashur finally let go of Hakai. "Well, let's see if we can change the battlefield at least to outside so that I can fly and assist you better, hm? This narrow place is not for me."

"Sounds good." Hakai's ears perked up when he heard steps. "Let's see who visits us." With the aura fading, he felt his spirit returning, calm and sharp after the relaxing rest and more than able to battle.

The man who stepped to them, though, didn't look particulary frightening. However, Hakai and Ashur quickly exchanged looks. They had both seen enough insane people. Some were like Kadaj - changing moods, mostly aggressive - and then there were those that were smarter, more dangerous. It would not do to underestimate this man.

Hakai gave the doctor - was that guy really one? - a grin. "Well, yeah, we talked to that nutcase and he blabbed on about his mother who got boned by his brother or whatever. But guess what - the shit lied to us. Kept crying about how he was all alone and needed our help, being all lost in this world. But hey, guess what, he takes us here and suddenly has a magically appearing scientist guy by his side! Not so very alone, is he? But since you are a doctor and that guy is obviously ready for the loony bin, we're oh-so-glad about that! Because you obviously know him and so, you can take care of him. So happy you take that job right out of our hands! Well, we'll be on our way then to, you know, out of traps and shit. Take care of your great projects we never heard about!"

"Yes, indeed, good luck to you!" Ashur chimed in - and then the pair hurried towards the exit.

Hojo chuckled darkly. "Oh he didn't lie. In fact I'm quite displeased at him summoning me against my will. I was attending to important matters, but I think they can wait." He pushed his glasses back up once again and swore to himself that he would get them fixed soon.

"I assume you believe he summoned me to fight you. Tsk, tsk, tsk I'd rather work then fight. He only wished for me to assure of his sanity. I can promise you he is telling the truth. Though of course you would not believe." He grinned cruelly for a moment. "After all the most advanced scientist you seem to have that works with genetics and asthetic operations is Ein and he does not work on the same level as I. He works with beasts, I with humans and an alien." He stood directly in front of the exit not wanting his audience to leave just yet.

"You see Lost Soul was to be of normal birth before I inject the JENOVA cells into him when he was still in the womb. The JENOVA cell act much like a virus and infect the healthy cells causing mutations in the DNA structure. The result is a much stronger, more intellignet, and far more rutheless specimen. As for the 'big brother' as he calls him, I attempted to inject his cells into Lost Soul as well to see if the mutated human cells would have an affect on the fetus as well. The result was less than satisfactory."

Kadaj squirmed as he listened to Hojo talk. He hated the man but allowed him to live as he never knew if the man just might come in handy, such as right now. "See? I'm not lying or crazy! Why would I lie about Mother and big brother?" He looked at Ashur pleadingly hoping he would believe the truth now that Hojo had comfirmed his statements. "Please believe me? I may bend the turth a little sometimes and not say the whole truth but I don't out right lie!"

Hakai and Ashur stopped in front of Hojo when he blocked the exit, even Hakai unusually patiently waiting for the scientist to finish his speech. Once Hojo was done, the Lucain looked at the man, nodded slowly and, after a second of meaningful silence then stated: "I have no idea what you just said, moron."

Ashur chuckled, a bit against his will. "We are not humans, nor are we able to assume a human form", the Seraphent decided to explain. "I am a healer, but I work with magic. Neither I nor Hakai understand anything about science or even the tools and names for parts of the body you human doctors normally use, not to mention that all those names from your world hold no meaning to us. As much as I...appreciate the effort, it is all but wasted on us. If you would kindly step aside."

"Or we'll assist with that", Hakai added.

Ashur looked past Hojo, at Kadaj. "It matters little what is true or not anymore, Kadaj. You are obviously not alone or lost, being able to even summon others from your world. There is obviously no need for the assistance of Hakai or me. I will, for the sake of all of us, try to believe that you are just someone who is confused by himself instead of someone trying to lure others into traps here. But, above all, you are in no need of help, as you have just proven, so in that, you do have lied, even if you don't know where your brothers are."

"Come on, Ashur, let's go before he summons another retard and there'll be a meeting of the crazies going on. Bad enough I'm stuck with you, I don't need more idiots." Hakai stepped forward, fully intending to push past Hojo with force if necessary.
