The young, female Common Khuna, Berry, was free. Free from worries, kits, and all that grown up stuff. She was technically an adult, but sometimes acted like a young kit. Sometimes she felt lonely, and she came to the Falls to think.  She knew that Poseidon could keep her company, but he was too much of a flirt.  She wanted a handsome male khuna who din't get on her nerves, but wasn't too serious.  "Why do I feel so lost?" Berry sighed.

The kanua had once again found himself at the Falls. Last time he had been at a rather interesting party, but now he was enjoying the peacefull tranquility of it all. The pleasent roar of the waterfall, the sounds of the birds in the trees, the breeze through the soft grass beneath his paws, everything about this place calmed him.

The kuhna named William hopped up on a rather high rock to get a good view. Looking around, his eyes fell on a common kuhna female. Not many of thoughs out and about these days. Can't really call them 'common' anymore. William thought as he layed on the rock, resting his head on his paws. He emitted a soft mew to get her attention.

She heard a mew.  Startled, she turned to see a strong, handsome Kuhna resting on a rock.  All she could think was WoW. He is the most handsome Kuhna I have ever met, and he's looking at ME!!  She padded up the rocks, hoping that she wasn't blushing. Or dreaming, as a matter of fact.  She had always felt jealous when she had seen the pretty Kuhna females with the handsome Kuhna males.  She never beleived that he had even known she was there.  "Hi, my name's Berry. What's your's?

William smiled gently and jumped down from the rock as Berry spoke to him. He sat down, keeping his back straight. A gentleman he was. "I am called William, m'lady. What brings you out to the Falls today?" William wasn't the flirtatious type, but he had to admit she had a certain youthful charm. He himself wasn't that old. "Not many common kuhna get out and about, these days. Too many humanoids breeding the subspecies. I don't have anything at all against the subspecies, as I am one of them, but I do feel the common kuhna could get a little more publicity. Ah well. Depends on the individual I guess. Now listen to me, i'm going on when I'v just met you. Forgive me."

She blushed from the attention. Usually she was hyper and energetic, but his gentle manners made her calm. "I just wanted to be alone, the male Kuhna who lives at my house gets on my nerves, and no one seems to understand me.  They always seem too busy to have fun, and I'm 'too playful and energetic to play with the babies.'"

William rubbed his side against the rock as he listened to the female in front of him. "I live with quite a few kuhna, myself. My brother is a pain to me. He's excrutiatingly hyper most of the time. You should have seen him at the party." William shook his head as he remembered Frostbite doing a cannonball into the water and drenching everyone with the splash he made. "My blood family is small so far. It consists of me, my brother, Frostbite, and my father, Sundea. We have four kits at the pens so far. There are the twins, Tick-Tack and Tock-Tick, and another pair of sisters just recently born, Sin and D.C. They have already started a band each and have been learning how to sing and such."

She adored kits, but everyone beleived that she was too energetic to be around them.  "They sound adorable," she said. She wished for kits of her own, the only problem was finding a room, and a suitable male.  She disagreed with the idea of not meeting with the Kuhna or Lucain before breeding, and she often wandered in Idalani Falls, hoping to find true love.  "I was an only kit,so I didn't have anyone to play with while I was young.  I only had a grumpy old Stargoyle to "play" with," she recalled. It felt good to share her childhood with another intelligent Kuhna.  He understood her, unlike everyone else she met.

William enjoyed listening to this kuhna's stories. He enjoyed listening to stories in general so that helped the situation. "I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting my mother. My father says she is a very hyper twilight kuhna and before he met her he never got in crowds and was generally very shy." The kanua's tails were swaying peacefully and he shuffled his paws, feeling the soft grass beneath them. The entire atmosphere was the peace he'd desired. The roar of the waterfall, the calming breeze, the birds, everything was like something from a fairy tale. William closed his eyes breifly and sighed.

"I haven't met my parents either, Froma took me to the Ice Fortress when I was a kit," she said.  She wished she could have met them, but now Froma was like her mother.  Berry walked up to William and sat next to him, admiring his beautiful eyes, silky coat, and gentle ways.  She hadn't met anyone like him, and wished that time wouldn't pass.  "You are the nicest Kuhna I have ever met," she said,"everyone thinks I act like a kit, but all I want to do is have fun."  At the thought of kits, she remembered the tiny Reiz kit in Draiz's auction, wishing that it could be hers.  Better yet, to have it and a litter of her own.  She was still upset that they had missed the last rooms of the season, but it didn't seem to matter now to her. She had finally felt she had found a friend, and possibly a lifemate.

"Now now, you don't act too kittish to me." William said. He smiled and blushed slightly as the female seemed to study his eyes. "You should have seen Poppi before she had her kits." The kanua couldn't help but laugh slightly. He hadn't seen the bubblegum girl personally before she had kits, but Patriot, her father, had told him, much. "Even after she grew up she was still as playful and hyper as she was when she was a kit." One of his tails wandered over and brushed Berry's. William looked at her and smiled. Maybe he was falling for her. "There is a bit of a problem, love." William said, "I have two schedualled breedings and i'm not certain how they will go."

"Thanks," she replied. She was blushing, but her fur hid it. "As for the breedings, you'll do fine, you're a great guy."  She hadn't known him long, but she was already falling for him.  He was all a khuna girl could wish for.  He was smart, handsome, gentle, kind, and had good manners.

William had blushed as well by now, but he still smiled gently at the female. "If you or your humanoid wouldn't mind, I could have Calico add you to my breeding list. That is, if you want to attempt having kits with me." The kanua was blushing even more now, his dark fur bairly hiding the deep red of his skin. His fluffy tails were swaying peacefully this way and that as he awaited Berry's answer.

"Yes!" she cried out with joy.  She had tried to stay calm, but she had gotten excited. William was a great kuhna, and even though they had only known each other for a short time, it felt like she had known him for years.  She was so excited, she could barely contain herself.  Her tails had been moving as fast as her heart, and when she finally calmed down, her hopes of having kits were renewed.  "Froma's adopting a kit, the Reiz one that I saw in Draiz's auction.  Froma said that I could adopt it as my own, and maybe I could show the little on to you."  Se was so excited, every thing was going well for her.

"I would like that, but perhaps another time?" William was reluctant to leave his new found mate, but he had to be getting home. "I must prepare for my breedings for when the season opens back up. The quicker I can get through the first two the quicker I can get to you." The kanua leaned in and licked the female kuhna's muzzle affectionatly before starting to trun. "Also, I would much like to see Bri and Poppi's young ones full-grown. I hear Sin is already performing her first show in Lamenolai." He began to pad away slowly, hoping she would follow him out. "Farewell for now, Berry."

She hated to see him go, he was so sweet, she new he would have to go back to his home, but she still had one last question.  "Wait!" She quickly cried. "When will I see you again?"  She was hoping soon, but she new how busy life could be.
