Often called the 'Lover's Triangle' for the trio of waterfalls feeding in to a triangular gorge, the Idalani area is a picture-perfect place to spend time with that special someone, with a beautiful exotic backdrop and countless rainbows dancing across the sky. (+2 Speed)

Just the Two of Us (ToxicShadow & I) [HUNT]

Postby Mojave » 02/19/2013 2:13 AM

Grey currently does not have a pet form

Since their marriage, Grey and Zelos had been desperately busy- he with running things and she with their children. Naturally she had been fluanted about creation in the latest fashions in total glitz and glam (despite her best attempts to keep away from the most flamboyant ensembles) at every social event Zelos and she had to attend. But finally, things were slowing down and she had caught a respite from the stressful social season.

It had taken her weeks to get up the nerve to ask HIM out rather than he asking her. But she stood outside their private suite, steadying her breath before she entered. She had to remain in control. This was her night to spoil him and treat him to something money couldn't buy and something only they would appreciate. He would not have any glitzy say in this.

Thus steeled, she opened the bedroom door and entered, making sure her posture was properly straight and her countenance normal instead of her less than commanding attempts to look like a leader.

"Zelos?" She called, unable to keep her voice from wavering a tiny bit. She hoped he hadn't heard, but he could always read her like an open book. She couldn't help but smile at the humor in this thought and called out more clearly. "Honey?"

Zelos cherished the married life and, indeed, took to showing off his beautiful wife to everyone once they returned after their extensive honeymoon, as though she was something incredibly precious which, to him, she was. Having eloped and pulling the whole secret wedding shtick, that left the prince with a lot of explaining to do, with their children, friends and all those that he had associated with that had been expecting some grand wedding to attend once he had announced their engagement.

Of course, even more so than showing her off, Zelos absolutely adored spoiling Grey. Though he remained busy keeping things afloat, keeping his social calendar full, and with their their younger children, he always made time to be the doting husband, taking her out on dates or just doing sweet, simple things for her. It wasn't often that he would miss the chance to prance around in his pink, "Kiss the cook," apron and wip up some breakfast in bed or a special dessert for her. They'd gotten engaged and married so quickly after they reunited that, in a way, they were doing all of their dating now. Not that he minded, because he enjoyed being around her, to the point where he wished he could have her beside him at all times of the day and night, even if it was inhumanly possible. Zelos just had to settle for when they both had time, or when he had the chance to make time, regardless of busy schedules.

Inside the bedroom, entirely unaware of Grey standing outside of their door or the conflict she was facing within herself, he had his nose in a book and a pen in his hand. Scattered all about him were different papers and notebooks, which would likely leave one to wonder just what he was up to.

It was only one word, just his name, but the voice of his loved one easily broke his concentration. He turned in his swiveling chair, a curious eyebrow raised as his eyes searched for her. He'd noticed the wavering in her voice, undoubtedly, but didn't mention it. "Yes, sweetheart? Is there something wrong?"

Oh damn you to hell, Grey. She cursed herself silently. Of course he'd notice her faltering. She was still smiling however and managed to keep it in place. She made her way to him, taking in the mess around him and idly wondering what he was up to. "Oh I didn't mean to interrupt; I was wondering if we have any pressing engagements tonight?" She gave the books a cursory glance, but not enough examination to see if they were books she was familiar with. Instead she turned to look upon her mate, a hand resting on the back of his chair, her expression, despite her best efforts to keep it nonchalant, showing she hoped not.

When Grey crossed the room toward him, he set the pen down between the binding of the open book on his desk, preparing to give his fullest attention to her. "You're not interrupting," he assured her briefly. Regardless of what he was doing, he always had the time for her and could easily pick back up where he had left off later. Afterward, though, he gave her question some thought. He mentally went over his schedule before shaking his head. "No, there are no prior engagements." He was tempted to ask if she wanted to do something, but decided against it, settling for looking at her with a curious expression. If she had something on her mind, she would certainly tell him without him pressing for details.

She instantly brightened and almost jumped , the movement checked to where she gave an odd little jerk to her tiptoes and then slowly rocked back onto her heels before coming to rest normally upon on the flats of her feet. "Well, I have a surprise for you." She said simply, looking at him shyly from beneath her lashes. "You might want to get ready." She winked and with an impish smile, left the room.

They arrived at Idalani an hour before sunset, to a picnic Grey had arranged to be ready for them of their favorite light foods and complementing wine. She kept the conversation light and free of their daily worries and concerns. As the sun set, she leaned companionably against him. In the distance, they could see the occasional couple strolling around. "We should do this more often."

Zelos' smile brightened with his wife's reaction as she went on to say that she had a surprise for him. There were no arguments or questions, he immediately dropped what he was doing her pursuit of "out of the house," clothes. Though, he couldn't possibly deny that she had made him awfully curious, which only made him getting ready all that much faster. In many circumstances, he was like a woman in the sense that he would normally try on various outfits and fuss with his hair. Today, even though he had made the effort to look good, as always, he'd done so without trying on a million outfits.

The picnic was an incredibly pleasant surprise and very well received on his end, delighted by Grey's efforts. Her selection of food and wine was perfect to his and her tastes, he noted, which filled him with warmth. It seemed like a small gesture, to know what one enjoyed to eat, but it was sweet. He couldn't ask for anyone better, because there just couldn't be anyone that suited him better than Grey.

As she leaned against him, he wrapped an arm around her, planting a delicate kiss on the top of her head. "We should," he agreed. It was nice to get out of the house, to get some fresh air like this. It was something he hadn't done in a very long time. After the war, prior to his reuniting with Grey, he never had the chance just to wander outside of the city or the house, despite enjoying the peaceful calmness of nature. After they reunited, too, they had been too busy for such things with their oldest daughter's wedding, their own wedding, the younger children and all such things.

He watched as the sun set, with just having the love of his life beside him, no words necessary. Suddenly, however, he gained a mischievous smile. "We should go somewhere a little more private." They could get into all kinds of trouble that way, when they were entirely all alone, without the prying eyes of the other couples strolling around.
