Often called the 'Lover's Triangle' for the trio of waterfalls feeding in to a triangular gorge, the Idalani area is a picture-perfect place to spend time with that special someone, with a beautiful exotic backdrop and countless rainbows dancing across the sky. (+2 Speed)

Return to Idalani Waterfalls

Of course, one would say to keep attention when one was walking around an open area. Although she hadn't lost the point of this stop here in Idalani, the memories and thoughts that kept spiraling in her mind were beyond distracting. Meryl would sometimes snap out of it if she heard a loud noise or something unfamiliar, but otherwise, her mind kept going through those feelings and memories from the past, and asking itself questions it didn't have answers for. It was always so frustrating to think this way, yet the elementalist couldn't help it.

What she also couldn't help while thinking about those things were natural disasters. Perhaps that was too strong a word, but it recently felt like a disaster when the girl would sometimes find herself losing her footing or her balance while walking. In this case, in a place surrounded by waterfalls and huge lakes and ponds, it didn't take much time for the elementalist to go from solid ground to liquid water. Soon enough, the girl snapped out of it, but only too late as she screamed in surprise and found herself walking straight into a lake.

An embarrassing enough situation, but one that she had to quickly rectify. Fortunately for her, being lightly-clothed made it easier to swim back to the surface. Taking a deep breath as she emerged, Meryl flailed for a few seconds as she tried to realize where she was. Turning her head this way and that, she gasped and panted a little from the stress of suddenly finding herself in a lake, and not on solid ground.

It was while looking around frantically that she eventually noticed a hand holding out to her. In her current situation, Meryl had no interest in swimming there and wondering who had offered his or her help to her. All that mattered for the elementalist was to fix this embarrassing turn of event and to get back on solid ground. Without a second thought, she quickly pulled her arm out of the water and held on to the hand offered to her.

But what had felt like a saving grace quickly turned into the very opposite as she realized who had offered his hand.

The dark gloved hand of the mysterious person was but too familiar to Meryl. The same gloved hand that had grabbed her once, and that had left her brother broken from head to toes. Going up the cold blue sleeve, over the pale icy blue scarf and all the way to the face of the stranger, Meryl immediately recognized the savior.

Slick and short black hair, and cold red-pink eyes, Meryl immediately recognized him as being one of the elementalists currently going after her and her brother: specifically, he was the ice half of the pair.

Without thinking twice about it, Meryl let go of his hand and quickly withdrew her own as far away from his as possible. Although the rivals had gone months without any tension or malice between the two parties, there was no telling if this was all planned. Now that Meryl was alone, and them knowing how much weaker she was compared to Adair, there was no telling if the ice elementalist wouldn't use this as an opportunity to easily and quickly snatch her away again.

Much to her surprise, that wasn't the reaction she got. When she withdrew her hand so powerfully, the male elementalist straightened back a little, surprised by her sudden change of heart. He narrowed his eyes at her slightly as he also raised an eyebrow curiously. He said nothing for a few minutes, and that was enough time for Meryl to decide and realize that she could get out of the water on her own.

Without giving him a chance to reach out for her again, Meryl swam quickly to the edge of the lake, holding on and pushing herself up and out of the water. She panted and gasped from the sudden, embarrassing event that had just occurred, but she had a bigger problem than that right now.

Re: [* An Awkward Spell [Hunt]

If there was still daylight, it would be near impossible to see, and if it was past nightfall, only few would actually notice it. Some people reported seeing a comet shooting overhead, while others saw the 'comet' landing in a bright flash of light in a nearby bush, or in the middle of the path in front of them.

It seemed, this Valentines, that the Legend of Love was indeed true, for the item that lay nearby, ready for your discovering, was Valentines related.
If you wandered over to the light you would discover:
