Marea watched hapilly, blushing at first when he started, then became less shy as he continued to draw. She dearly wanted to see what he had drawn there, but at the same time she didn't want to move and disturb his drawing. She stayed still, a smile still fixed to her face. She didn't know why she felt this urge to smile, but didn't go against it. She watched Wadel, happy that she could just stare at him undisturbed without anyone wondering why. There was no one else here anyway.

"There," Wadel whispered, almost to himself. He put down the pencil, green eyes scanning the image. Apparently satisfied, he turned the book around to show the art to Marea. It was like a photo in black and white, every detail captured. "Do you like it?"

Marea gasped as she saw it. It was like staring into water and seeing her reflection, except in the dark so that everything was either white, lit up by the moon, or in darkest shadow. She looked at her own eyes, her own ears, her own tails... so perfect! She looked at it some more, eyes bright, then looked up to Wadel.

"I love it!"

She said softly, looking down once more to gaze at the picture.

Wadel moved close to Marea, leaving the sketchpad in the grass. He whispered, "It pales in the sight of the real thing." His rough tongue gently grazed her cheek, a sign of his affections.

Marea let out a long, slow breath, warming to his touch. She closed her eyes and nuzzled him affectionally, burying her nose in his fur for a second. Without meaning to, one of her tails curled around him. She didn't know what she was doing and she hadn't intended any of it at first - but right now she didn't care. Nothing mattered right now, apart from the need to express her feelings for Wadel.

Wadel delighted in her touch. He gave a sigh of delight and had a sudden urg to sing. The song was one he'd read in a book once. The tune was one of his own invention, giving the music a light sway.

"Toommba la, trillo coom day.
Toommba la, sen-say-may.
Toommba la, trillo coom day.
Toommba la, sen-say-may."

Marea looked up and listened to him sing, ears pricked towards the sound. She closed her eyes and listened, a slight smile on her face. She was disappointed when he stopped, and opened her eyes to look up at him.

"You have a beautiful voice."

She spoke gently, eyes bright as they watched him.

"Everything about you is beautiful," he responded dreamily, his gaze resting on the pools of her eyes. "Your eyes, your voice, your smile. Why, when you look at me that way, my heart must skip a beat." He smiled at her. The words he spoke were true.

(Aww, cute! ^-^ You're amazing at drawing. -Ish inspired- Now I must draw them also... xD)

Marea's eyes were shining as she looked up at him, her breath catching in her throat. But somehow it didn't seem to matter that much - with this feeling, who needed to breathe? She smiled up at him and spoke, so quietly it was hardly a whisper.

"You take my breath away..."

She smiled and let out a slow sigh.

A slight pink colored his ebony cheeks. As the color ebbed away, he rose to his feet. "Do you want to do something that will really take your breath away?"

Marea watched him, then listened to his words. Her heart beat faster as she followed his example and rose slowly, standing and watching him. She didn't know what he intended, and right then she didn't care, whatever he did she would gladly follow.

"I'd love to."

Once again her voice was no more than a whisper, but easilly heard, even though the waterfall was pounding beside them.

Slowly, Wadel rose to stand on his hind legs, a talent he'd developed when he'd dreamed of staring in a broadway production. (Eventually, he'd given up the idea when he realized that the only play he would be accepted in was Cats.) He extended one paw to Marea, saying, "May I have this dance?"

Marea delicately raised a paw and clasped it in Wadels, then, leaning on his hand for support, she slowly raised herself to her hind legs. She didn't have much experience on standing like this, but she did have a little, and with Wadel here to support her she was sure that she wouldn't fall. She found herself once more clutched by a shy inability to speak, but this time it didn't bother her so much. Words weren't needed that much right now.

Wadel gave a slight smile as he read the unsteady feeling on Marea's face. Gently, he placed her right paw on his shoulder, taking the other in his right. The pair looked entirely like a couple of small, furry humans, ready to dance to the most wonderous of music, that which can only be heard in places such as this. The twittering of birds and the beating of the waterfall created a symphony of nature the likes of which would never be recreated. To this music, they danced.

(Sorry for the wait, my muse was a bit down. Hm. Alot down. But they're rising! I promise~)

Marea clasped her paws in his and moved from his lead, still unsure of her feet. But as they danced, she found that she was relying on him less. She closed her eyes, no longer needing to watch for his moves, just feeling the cool breeze in her fur, the sound of the waterful loud and clear in her ears.
