Often called the 'Lover's Triangle' for the trio of waterfalls feeding in to a triangular gorge, the Idalani area is a picture-perfect place to spend time with that special someone, with a beautiful exotic backdrop and countless rainbows dancing across the sky. (+2 Speed)

Return to Idalani Waterfalls

A Bit of Charm (Private, Cloud + Meesh)

Image He flew in, already mentally strained for the day. It had been a fun flight to the falls but his imagination had gotten ahead of  him, though making the ride more enjoyable, was more straining. He rested on a nearby tree, excited to finally see Idalani Falls. Char let out a nice big yawn before settling further against the ferns that encompassed his body. He watched critters scatter around the underbrush and birds fly from branch to branch above. He looked at them and started to see shapes in their skipping patterns. It lulled him into a trance that could be described as asleep but with eyes wide open.

Mara

"Curse whatever gosh darned idiot caused past me to think it was a good idea to come here"

The Morloth landed on the edge of a tree with a groan, flopping backwards and hanging upside down off of one of the branches for a few seconds, wincing in pain. It hadn't been that long of a flight to get here, why was she so sore? Huffing lightly, Mara reached out almost blindly with a wing, scrabbling around a little until she had attached herself to the apple dangling off of the edge of the branch. "Thank goodness, I was frigging starving" she muttered to herself over a mouthful of the fruit.

A few minutes later the fruit had been devoured straight from the tree and Mara was feeling better. Unwrapping her tail from its position tightly curled around the tree branch, Mara let go and flared her wings out to flip over and land on the ground with a light thump

Okay, now where were those herbs?  The Morloth glanced around the area, squinting her eyes.

He snapped back to consciousness by the sound of a thump. Char lifted his brown, furry head to peer around the forest. 'Who goes there?' He thought he had said aloud. Green were everywhere. Well, almost everywhere... There were also speckles of brown and blue and... pink? He noticed a morloth. It made him perk his ears and cling onto the ground. He didn't know why it did, but it did. 'Perhaps she won't see me!' He thought, this time knowing he thought and not of said. The idea made his tail wag. Char was not made for hunting.

The swish of fur against something made Mara tense slightly. She hadn't counted on there being any predators around...just her luck, eh? Moving her head slowly, trying to make it look like she hadn't noticed the barely audible noise (good thing Morloths had such good hearing), Mara tried to glance around her for the glint of eyes or the flash of teeth that meant a predator. But just as her hearing was good, her eyesight was terrible, and Mara could detect nothing around her other than the blur of greens and browns of the foliage.

So instead, still pretending to shuffle around with her nose to the ground in search of herbs, Mara listened. It took a bit of turnarounds before she detected the noise again, as well as its direction, but once she did, she relaxed ever so slightly. No predator could catch her, not if she knew where it was.

Allowing herself to focus back on her work, Mara began brushing aside old leaves and twigs, scenting around for a minty fresh scent. Very carefully moving slowly away from whatever was making that noise. No predator was going to eat her today, thank you very much!

He stepped closer, making sure to be cautious of his steps. The ground was clear where he was, luckily, making it not too hard to keep quiet. His posture, movement, everything- that is except for his tail, which was wagging very lightly behind him. His eyes were a bit wild, as well. Then he froze. 'Did she see me?' His heart was going, yet he still managed to keep his breathing next to silent. His wings helped conceal his figure as they wrapped against his body, obstructing the chest region.

Relief swept over him as the morloth turned back to her matters. Things were going just swell. He had no interest in pouncing her or anything of the sort. Honestly, he wasn't sure what he was doing. All he wanted to do now was see how far he could go without being noticed. He tried creeping quickly over to his right to get directly behind her, then ducked down once more, even bothering to cover his face and markings with his wings.
