Xyshari. Lana.

After the two had finished their tea, Lana and Xyshari had set off to another area. However, when she woke up to head out the next day, Xyshari found that she couldn't see anything - and a simple brush of the hand against her eyes revealed why.

"Lana... pardon my bluntness, but where the kriff are you taking me now, and why am I blindfolded?"

Lana smirked as she reached back to grab her wife's hand. "It's not much farther now, love, and when we get there, you can take off your blindfold."

"That is NOT an answer, Lana," Xyshari said bluntly.

"I am aware, but it's the answer you're getting," Lana said, and Xyshari could hear the smirk in her voice. "Besides, this is hardly the worst scenario you've been in... and you know you can trust me."

The tone in which Lana said this gave Xyshari pause. Yes, she knew she could trust Lana - and she did, implicitly.

"I just... am not a fan of surprises lately," she said in a muted tone.

"I know, but I think you'll like this one," Lana said, smiling as she pulled Xyshari along, guiding her through the brush. She could only distantly wonder what this area would look like with color: the underbrush, the bushes, the trees...

...and the waterfalls.

Xyshari's ears swiveled forward at the sound, and she drew in a breath. Her lips peeled back in a faint snarl as she shook her head.

"I hope it doesn't involve GETTING in the water," she said.

"Would I do that to you, my love?" Lana asked, and Xyshari gave a low growl.

"Would you?" she asked.

"What if it were a hot spring?" Lana asked. Xyshari stopped for a moment, and then, let herself be pulled forward.

"I wouldn't mind it, but I'm still not a fan of water," she said. "If you knew all the training exercises I've been through that involved water..."

"I guess that kolto submersion wasn't a preferred method of healing for you, then."

"Aether and Ashla, no," Xyshari said. "The healers were good enough that I rarely needed to be fully submerged... but there were a couple of times. Thankfully, I was unconscious when I went in, and unconscious when I came out. My... 'sister' saw to it that I was comfortable when I had to visit the Halls."

Here, she felt Lana stop, and move closer to her. She fiddled with the blindfold around her eyes, and let it drop after a moment.

"We're here."

Xyshari opened her eyes and blinked. She could make out the fog from the water, and she could hear faint birdsong above the water, but it was softer than it should have been, she felt. The local fauna were likely still terrified by the changes in their world, which she could sympathize with.

"It's beautiful," Xyshari said, looking around. "And it's been too long since I've been able to relax in a hot spring."

"Then let's fix that," Lana said.

Their armor was quickly shed, and they soon slipped into the hot spring after a few moments. Xyshari sighed a sigh of relief as she relaxed, feeling the warmth of the water around her as she closed her eyes. She felt Lana reach for her hand, and she took it with a faint smile as she tilted her head to the side, barely opening her eyes enough to see her wife.

"...didn't have to blindfold me, you know," she murmured sleepily.

"Yes, but I wanted to surprise you, love," Lana said, leaning closer to her wife to brush against her cheek with a gentle kiss. "And it's not really a surprise if you can see where we're going."

"There are... many holes I could poke in that theory, but I won't," Xyshari said.

"Yes, I know. Force Sight, your senses of smell and hearing... I still wanted to try, at least," Lana said, smiling softly. She would run her hand through Xyshari's hair, brushing some of it behind her ear.

"You did well," Xyshari said, finally raising her head to look at her wife and give her a patient, tender kiss. "Although..."

Here, she stopped, looking around as she shifted her position to where she could look at their gear. Lana's armor looked about the same as it always did - black, grey, and darker shades of grey. Hers, however, was out of place: instead of brown, it was a muted grey, and the area with lighter purples were a lighter shade of grey, looking out of place with the darker purple of the plate.

"...my armor..."

Lana followed her wife's eyes to their armor in its pile. She almost hadn't noticed that the darker purple areas were the same color as it always was because she was so accustomed to it, but now that she was looking at it against a backdrop of a lack of color, it took her by surprise.

"...well, my armor looks about the same as always, but... I guess we found this region's color," Lana said. "You know, it always reminded me of those rich purple Onderonian stones..."
