"My home is hectic as well.  Several Kuhnas live there, as do four Lucain... well, that's soon to change to at least five.  I dunno.  But three of the Kuhnas keep babbling on about their lifemates and my mother keeps fantasizing about her secret love.  It gets a little too mushy to be good.  I mean, I'm happy that my mother is in love with my father, though Galen can't take her babbling." Tas said, her voice regaining some confidence.  She tilted her head at the mention of Xryen's little sister.  "Oh?  I have an older sister and an older brother; neither of which I have met yet.  I'm the only one that got both my father's markings; save for the color of my Ancient markings.  My father's are red; mine are... well, a darker shade than yours." She said, tracing one of the markings.

"I'm the eldest from what mother has told us. I've get to meet the middle child though. Rysk is the youngest." Truth be told, there were many kuhnas around his house as well. He just wasn't there enough to get to know them. "I myself would rather settle down with one lifemate rather then breed to many other lucain. I want my pups to be from the one I truely love."

"Same with me." Tas said.  "I have one breeding cued up with a certain Lucain known as Aksel, but that is it.  My sister has a breeding with a Lucain known as Tyxaci, and my brother... I don't know.  My mother is tormented in feeling like she's becoming 'the next Kyuukai,' since she has so many breedings cued up." She explained, shaking her head.  "I just want to have my lifemate be someone I actually love..." She said, her head hanging.

His ears gave a small twitch at the meantioning of the name Tyxaci. "That's another one of the lucain that live in our house. I don't truely know much about him though since he's a fairly new person in the house. At least your sister has one mate lined up. Maybe she won't be so tearful over your words of having a hard love life..." Xyren didn't want anyone to bring tears to the eyes of the lovely lucain befoer him.

"I do indeed hope so." Tas said, her head rising for the first time since this conversation had taken this path.  "I truly hope so.  I mean, if three of the Kuhnas and possibly one of the Lucain from my trainer's residence have found lifemates, why shouldn't all of them be able to?" She asked, her voice holding some optimism.

"Care to go for a walk?" the black and purple male asked, giving a soft smile. There was no need to waste such a lovely night as this. A walk near the waterfall could even help calm her nerves maybe. It seemed as though he had her in mind more then himself.

"A... a walk?" Tasera asked, almost shocked.  "S-sure... I'd love that." She said, her three tails wrapping around themselves.  This was the longest time she;d spent talking with a single Lucain, and she felt... different around Xryen.  She couldn't quite explain it.

Xyren turned toward the water fall, but glanced back at her. "Ready to get going, Tas?" For once in his life he hadn't been feeling complete lonelyness and despair. Even if they were only friends for now, he definately had something to look forward to. Maybe, just maybe, this freindship would develop into something more.

"Hm?  Oh, yes.  Let's go." Tasera said, standing up and walking towards the waterfall.  She realized within herself that this was the first time in a while that someone had stayed around her that long on freewill, and it meant something to her.

Even in the dark of the night there were many sights to see. Tiny little fireflies lit their bodies up, their lights flashing on and off as they shifted through the air. The few birds that were still awake were within their nest, twittering sweet love songs. "This place is a wonderful little haven... I'm glad I could share this night with you." There weren't many things that could tear him apart from this wonderful world they were in right now, as he was enjoying it far too much.

Tas smiled as she listened to the birds' songs.  "I'm glad I could share this night with you as well." She said, her blue-gray wingblades rustling as she moved them slightly.  This was certainly the most fun she had away from the Arena, where she entertained the kits and any half-siblings or nieces/nephews that might be there with stories.

He stopped walking as they drew within a few feet of the waterfall. The cascading water sent up a mist that slowly came down, chilling the area around the fall. The wavering water reflected the shimmering stars and the full moon. "Tas... I can't help but feel as if we are connected in some way." Xyren spoke, glancing back over at her. Just as they had been doing before, his markings were slowly pulsing, glowing through the night around them.

Tas looked into Xryen's purple eyes.  "I have felt a connection with you as well." She said, her eyes shimmering in the moonlight.  She did notice how his markings were glowing, and she quietly asked, "Why--Why do your markings do that, Xryen?" She asked.

He looked down at his shoulder, noting the glowing aura. "I'm not quite sure... But my mother said that she noticed my father's markings had a glow to them as well. I suppose I may have just recieved that trait from my father." Xyren had never really thought much about how his markings tended to glow, or even the fact that the coloring of his fur and wingblade changed color within the shadows.

Tasera nodded her head.  "Ah.  Who is your father, anyhow?  Mine is Sethor, but I haven't met him since I was born." She said.  "My mother said that I got an exact mix between her marking colors and his, but that's about the only trait of hers I got." She traced one of her markings again as she looked back at him.
