"Iamnotasquare," Fervo grumbled, but he said it too quietly for anyone to really hear. Instead, Feravelo watched as Prisma blushed and struggled over his name. He didn't mind it too much--at least she tried to pronounce it right. Not like stupid Kalick. He just made fun of the name. Fervo gave a small shrug and murmured, "It's alright. I prefer not having a same old name like other people..." He sat downon the grass and licked a paw calmly. He didn't mind Prisma much. She seemed like a nice calm girl, not a wild madman--or womam, in Prisma's case--like Kalick. It was probably the Arkuhna genes. Much more respected than those like Kalick.

"Oh, maybe," Kalick sighed, remembering some of the very pretty girls he'd been with, "but none were as nice as you." Ah, charming Kalick. He was always like this, trying to make the girls like him. "Er...do you...paint, or anything?" Kalick was curious to know what Prisma was really like. Although he did spend sometimes linger on the outward appearance of another person, he always knew it was better to find out the person inside. That way, he could see what they were really like. If they were just the same old people who blended into the crowds in life or the ones that stuck out like a sore thumb. He liked the sore thumbs. They were more interesting. And more fun.

The big Sahound didn't ever take time to think about how he looked to other people, calling them by names or just outright attacking when the time called for it. His tail wagged as he smiled. Of course he was huge - it happened within nature, some were bigger than their peers.

"Yah. There were other Kuhna with her." He smiled a bit, glancing to the group before his warm earthen gaze turned back to Silk. "I have been training a lot... Yeah. Us? Oh, Brytag, right?"

Stretching slightly, the big Sahound waited for Silk to move. "What sort of training are you doing?" He carefully moved his pall with his paws as they moved back towards where Silk's companion must be. This Sahound, while smaller than th two, possessed a great deal of strength. He had been training a lot lately.

Silk [7] Prisma [7] Brytag [6]

Postby Kallile » 07/27/2008 8:56 AM

"It is a nice name, just a little hard on the tongue, that's all." Prisma reassured Fervo as she perked an ear towards him. She remained facing Kalick, seeming to be flustered at the mention of being the nicest he had met. It didn't seem to damage her self-esteem when he mentioned she may not be the prettiest. Who was she to judge if she could only judge beauty by sound and touch? That and by a creature's personality. If those were not good enough point to judge beauty on, Prisma wanted none of it.

"I do paint...some." She said brightly to Kalick, her twin tails waving a little behind her at the mention. "I was getting acclimated to where my friends had put everything when the Sahound and you two came along."She shifted in the grass to a more comfortable position. She seemed in deep thought for a moment, then tilted her head with a small grin on her face. "What colors are you, Kalick?"

She may not know the sight of them, but she knew the general meaning behind colors. She already had been told a little more about Fervo based on the fact they were look-alikes. Kalick, however, was still a bit of a sketched silhouette in her mind. If she really wanted to know him, she'd have to fill in the lines.

~*~

"Yes, Brytag." Silk said matter-of-factly as she turned and lead the Sahound along the shoreline to the waterfall. She watched him continue to play around with the ball he had brought with him and smiled. For such a large warrior, he came off as still being very young to the Sheilupe.

"We are testing ourselves against nature. The beating a waterfall can dish out, to scale the rocky face on either side. If you cannot conquer things in nature, we believe you will have a hard time conquering a foe of any sort. Natural creatures like us can only hope to achieve the strength and endurance of a waterfall, or the grace and precision it takes to scale a rocky cliff." She explained. An air of aged intelligence seemed to hang around her, even though she looked to only just be in the category of adult.
"I have been hidden, scorned, adored, worshiped, forsaken, coveted and banished more times than I care to count. But the one thing all those experiences cannot steal from me is the gentle soul I was born with, the kind heart I have molded, and the bright ideals for the future that have lit my way through the darkness of the past."

Feravelo's only reply to Prisma was a small "Hm", confirming the fact that he agreed with the Arkuhna. But he still liked his name the way it was. And he wouldn't simplify it for anyone.
Fervo smirked good-naturedly when Prisma because a bit flustered at Kalick's words. He wasn't too surprised--Kalick was always like that around women. And most people fell for his words. Even though Kalick was so charming, Prisma still kept her head. Which was a pretty good sign.

"Er...colors?" Kalick blinked, a bit surprised, but took a deep breath. He was ready to go into a whole nice description about himself. "Well, I'm a pure white base. All the other colors on me are kind of faded-out. My stripes are two colors. The first is a pretty baby blue, and the second is a pale-ish yellow. And my wings are white. And my eyes are yellow. Oh, and--"

"--And his brain's the size of a pea," Fervo interrupted. He was growing tired of hearing all about Kalick's 'beauty.' Not that the Arkuhna was jealous. Oh no. It was just annoying. "I'd tell you what I'd look like, but since we're the same species, I'm pretty sure you have a good idea of what my appearance."

Mahkah was still very young - he was barely old enough to be a warrior, but being so big no one ever questioned him. That ball of his was special though- it looked like a bouncing ball, it was actually much more dense and heavy. The Sheilupe may be able to hardly move it, and that was obvious by the deep indents it made in the grass where he moved it.

Nodding slightly as he listened to the female, Mahkah's ears flickered as he heard all of the things around him - the falls, the soft buzz of the insects, the conversation between the Kuhna he had just left. While those bat-ears may look silly on him, Mahkah was glad. There were few creatures who ever snuck up on a Sahound.

"Sounds like a good training method. Is that what Brytag is doing now?"

Prisma [8] Silk [8] Brytag [7]

Postby Kallile » 07/29/2008 2:17 PM

Prisma smiled, titling her head towards Fervo. Yes, she had asked Silk many times to describe her colors to her. She knew the rainbow pelt he must possess, as well as the bet-like wings. She gave a pleased nod, laughing a little at his comment to Kalick. "I do indeed—if colors spoke for you, I'd have to say you are a complex individual, Feravelo. Much like I myself am supposed to be."

Her attention moved back to Kalick, and she pondered what he had told her. "Well then, your colors say a lot about you as well."She began, fiddling around in the grass beneath her to trace out what appeared to be a Kuhna head. "White—you should go well with almost anything. It also should hold an air of purity and innocence...though I don't think Feravelo exactly agrees."

That much she had picked up from their tones of voices when they spoke to each other. It didn't matter, one's coloring could only say so much about their possible personality. But it helped Prisma imagine them. "Blue. A little bit of a dual meaning; but since you say it's lighter, I'll have to say it makes you light and friendly. That much I know is true of you."

She smiled at this, sketching a bit more into the earth below her. The Kuhna head was more fully developed if not rough around the edges. The body was slowly taking shape. "Finally, the yellow." She said, furrowing her eyebrows as she thought hard about this.

"Another double edge sword, but from what I know of you this moment, I would say that it makes you happy and joyous to be around." She smiled, finishing the second tail on her earthy sketch. The kuhna drawing was sitting in a proper stance, but there was a look akin to that of aloofness about it. A bright smile was on its face, all other features (besides being a bit scribbled and slightly out of proper alignment), were serene, relaxed, and content. Like the little sketch had not a care in the world. "Something like this." She smiled, waving her paw a few inches over her drawing.

~*~

Silk took notice of the balls obvious weight. Apparently this Sahound was more about training than she had first given him credit for. She smiled. "Yes, that is where we'll find him. You seem to know our names very well, but I am lost as to your own."She said calmly, content to watch her fellow canine out of the corner of her eye. He meant no harm, she could sense that about him.

Brytag paced, walking in and out of the waterfall. With each entrance he hardened the ribbons surrounding him, and with each exit he relaxed them. There was a bit of internal struggle as to whether he sound go seek out Silk or not. Of course, his mate could take care of herself, but that did not make the Chaos Sheilupe feel any more comfortable.

Fervo shrugged. He really didn't believe that something like the color of your pelt governed what you were like. Kalick sure wasn't pure, in any sense of the word. He was hyper, annoying, and too much of a lady's man for Fervo to be able to stand being around him for long periods of time.
"Personally I don't think colors make a difference. Or species for that matter." Fervo glared at Kalick. "Kalick here is a prime example."

So...white meant purity for Kalick? Well that was a new one. The Preluhna couldn't help but silently agree with Fervo, even though he liked to say otherwise. Well, he wasn't a bad person, so maybe that would count towards the purity part? Then again, all of this kind of talk was like fortune telling--you couldn't always trust it.

Blue...light and friendly. 'Well, that fits,' Kalick thought, with a grin. He was light and friendly. Even Fervo couldn't disagree with that one. Heck, no one really disagreed with that one. Kalick licked a paw as Prisma talked, rubbing it over his ear as he pondered her words. He was sitting neatly on the the grass now, with a few feet between him and Feravelo.

"Finally, the yellow..."
Kalick's ears twitched, his attention directed at Prisma. He listened carefully to her words. Happy and joyous to be around...yeah, that fit too.  It kinda went along with the friendliness...Kalick watched as Prisma began drawing. Honestly, he didn't expect it to be good at all, seeing as she was blind. But when he looked at the picture, he found it to be quite good. Well, besides the fact that some of the lines were off and such, but hey, Prisma was blind, so it probably wasn't going to be perfect.

"You know, you're pretty good..." Kalick said looking down at the picture. "And I'm not just saying that--I mean it, the picture is good. Probably better than what I could draw."

"Ah..." Mahkah gave a laugh as he shook his coat slightly, his brown fur likely having been just washed. It bugged him... But at least he didn't smell like vanilla anymore. Nope - he smelt of Sahound and grass. He just had to work on covering up his scent again, if he wished to hunt. "I'm sorry. My name's Mahkah. Citanul says that it means 'Earth'... I like it."

With a happy tail-wag he turned his eyes from Silk to the waterfall, where he could smell another Sheilupe but not exactly see one. "How long are you training out here? Just for the day?" Pausing in his steps, he saw his ball a little ways back - he needed to pay mroe attention. Grinning, he moved carefully, stalking the ball before pouncing and rolling it back to where he was standing before.

Silk [9] Prisma [9] Brytag [8]

Postby Kallile » 08/02/2008 5:13 PM

"I know—every creature is much like every color shade. While they are related, that doesn't mean they are the same. Knowing the meanings behind the color someone is...well, it's hard to explain, but it helps me paint a better mental image of them beyond what I feel."Her smiled had weakened a little, perhaps from her muscles being rather new to smiling this much, perhaps from feeling a little stung from Fervo's comment. "I know it sounds silly, it just helps me get to know others."

She brightened again at Kalick's comment about her drawing. She laughed a little, shaking her head. "Oh, please don't flatter me anymore!"She said teasingly, rubbing her paw across the drawing in the earth to erase it. "It's just something I do when I'm thinking about someone—take the features I've felt and the colors and doodle them down into something."

She swiveled her head to 'look' between both Fervo and Kalick. "And what about the two of you? Any hobbies?"She asked, flickering one ear towards each male. It was pointless to keep turning her head other than to help make the others feel more comfortable. Eye contact, she had been told, could be a very big deal for some creatures.

~*~

"Mahkah," Silk repeated thoughtfully, her eyes still focused forward. "sounds strong and nearly tribal; an admirable name, to be sure." She noted before he asked his second question. She had began to answer, only to notice that the Sahound had retreated after his toy. She kept her pace and waited until he was back in her line of view to speak again. "We are just training for the day. We're the designated guardians of the Kuhna you met back there. It's good for her to get out..." The female Sheilupe looked behind her for a moment, smiling at Prisma and her guests. "Especially if it means she gets to meet new people. But I'm afraid we can't let her stay out for multiple days at a time. My Lady's orders."

Brytag had stopped his pacing and now simply stood under the beating waters. His ribbons remained in their ethereal state—limp and helpless to the falls. The powerful beast himself stood solid—legs spread just slightly to brace himself against the forces raining down on him.

Fervo shrugged. Everyone had their methods. "Yes, to me, it does sound silly. I've never believed anything like that--that goes for fortune telling and all that voodoo stuff too. I don't believe in it for a second." Feravelo was more one of those 'see-it-to-believe-it' people, even though it didn't apply to all things. Like religion, for example. But that was a whole 'nother story. "But whatever works for you, I guess. As they say, to each his own. Or her, in your case."
Fervo, when he looked down at the drawing, didn't say anything, but silently disagreed with Kalick. He thought it looked...well, just odd. It wasn't that good. But then, Prisma was blind, so he had to cut her some slack. The drawing wasn't going to be perfect.
Hobbies...? "Well, I like to read," Fervo mewed. "Anything that involves the mind I like. I'm not into any sports, except for the more sophisticated sports. I'll play things like tennis, but...football is a very unintelligent sport." That was Fervo. Always the sophisticated man.

Kalick eyed Fervo with slight dislike. "Well, if your colors mean crabby then it'd all fit," he mewed, narrowing his eyes. The Preluhna turned back to Prisma. "Like I said earlier, ignore him." Ending any communication with Feravelo, he said honestly to Prisma, "Well, whatever you do to get the end result, I like it."
Kalick paused for a moment to lick a paw thoughtfully, noticing that Prisma kept averting her gaze from either Kuhna. That was a bit odd...but, well, some people were just like that.
"Hobbies?" Kalick said, grinning. "Well, let's see. I for one like sports. No one in particular, I like all of them. Except for the stupid ones. Like tennis."

Mahkah nodded slightly to the mention of his name being tribal, but waited for her to finish speaking. Ah... Gaurdians. He gave a bit of a grin, a silly look for the Sahound. "Prisma does seem... Ah, delicate? She couldn't stand being out for such a long time. Like Dallin." He nodded slightly, ears flickering as he listened to the slight difference in how the falls fell.

That had to be where Brytag was training, under the falls. "Is your home far? If it gets too dark I can help you get her home." Not trying to insinuate that the Sheilupes couldn't handle the job, but an extra pair of ears (and paws) never could hurt the situation.

Prisma [10] Silk [10] Brytag [9]

Postby Kallile » 08/18/2008 1:35 PM

Prisma listened to Fervo's reply, only slightly disheartened. He was a fun one to get along with, wasn't he? She grinned as he told her about his hobbies—all the information painting a much clearer picture in her mind of what he was really like. She doubted—if she had even been able to project the mental images into the minds of others—that Fervo would like the image he was painting for her. But, as he had said, to each their own; she was going to return the favor by applying it to him as well.

She giggled a little at Kalick's retort. She hadn't enjoyed company like this in quite a long time. In fact, she rarely enjoyed new company. Brytag and Silk were her closest friends, but even they still treated her a little too gently now and again. She was blind, not dying. "I think in an organized game like sports, it's more fun to get a little dirty. That's what a game is to me at least—something fun and messy. But I appreciate those who prefer mentally challenging and calculating games. They're...not really my forte though."

~*~

"Delicate moments are things Prisma has in passing. She'll never let us forget how much she is capable of on her own. However, that's a t home where the environment rarely changes. Out here she requires a little more attention."Having said that, Silk knew she had little to worry about. If the other Kuhna had sat there with her this long, they wouldn't let harm befall her.

"We live close to Jawan—our Lady does love to travel between the two islands. So it's a fair distance from here. Let us see how the day goes, but we would gladly accept your help."By this time they were nearly upon the falls—the burnt orange and black form of Brytag stood as an imposing looking figure with the ribbons materialized to force the water away from him. His bright white eyes watched his mate and the newcomer in silence without so much as a dip of his muzzle.

{{Don't worry about it, Ghostlily. I saw that you'd be gone for a while. ;) }}
"I have been hidden, scorned, adored, worshiped, forsaken, coveted and banished more times than I care to count. [[Just a quick summary of what happened with Kalick and Fervo:

Basically, with Prisma, they decided to play some sort of physical game, something like tag. Fervo commented on how he detests getting dirty no matter what, and finds cleaning it still bothersome, while Kalick teased him and then asked Prisma what she wanted to play.

I believe that's about it. ^^ At least, that's what I can remember.]]

[Mahkah lv10][50]

Postby Citanul » 10/03/2008 7:24 PM

"Yeah... Jawan is a long ways from my home." Mahkah gave a soft smile as he continued to walk. His ball was left on the shore of the small lake as he watched the watefall, and the two colored Brytag standing strong against the falls.

Seeing his eyes upon him Mahkah's tail wagged as he dipped his muzzle to Brytag. He would happily join these two in their training, and bringing Prisma home as well.

Prisma [11] Silk[11] Brytag [10]

Postby Kallile » 10/12/2008 10:11 AM

Prisma was all the way back on her haunches now, tapping her toes thoughtfully. What oh what could they play that would be a challenge for the boys without being too much of a challenge for her? Sure, if they were at the Estate to play a game she would suggest something that they may think her unable to do—she knew every corner and tree location as well as she knew the darkness behind her eyelids. She had lived there for quite a few months, after all, and Kallile never moved anything in areas Prisma frequented.

Yet here, here was a different story. She was growing a little more accustomed to the area around her blanket—but beyond that she would have no idea. She needed something where Kalick and Farvo would have no choice but to talk and shout a lot—something to help pull her in the right direction...

"I think you gave me the hardest job, Kalick." She purred, letting out a content breathe of air as she came to her final decision. "I don't want to bore you to death, though that may be a little difficult without a ball to play with. All that come to mind are more kit-ish games like tag and marco polo. Perhaps you have some ideas for spicing them up?"

Her question was hopeful—she was really enjoying her time with these two, she didn't want to bore them away.

~*~

Silk smiled to Mahkah, giving a single nod of her head. "It is a good journey, mostly why Brytag opted to train once we got here. We're both just a little winded and worn out just from the walk and carrying Prisma's packs—all warmed up upon arrival." She dipped her muzzle to her mate, though it did not seem to be out of formality. Be it a signal of Mahkah's good intentions or just a sign that they were ready to really begin was up for debate.

Brytag watched Mahkah, relaxing his gaze on the younger creature just slightly at the tail wag. If Silk accepted him to walk with her and he was in a content state, the big male would accept his presence as well with as grumbling as possible. "Welcome, Sahound." He roared out above the Falls as they approached. Silk had already taken her place on one of the slick rocks and was getting her footing under the pounding waters. "Ready to test yourself against nature?"

((So sorry it took so long—like Prisma, I was at a complete loss of a possible game. oO ))
