Fervo groaned--inwardly. He hated getting dirty already, but now he had to play a silly game like tag? He refrained from snorting or making any other sort of noise. Instead, he let his discomfort show upon his face. Lucky for him Prisma was blind.
"...Any other ideas?" Feravelo asked, glancing at Kalick. The Preluhna was ignoring him though, and instead was focusing on Prisma. He was deep in thought, the little gears of his mind spinning and turning in an effort to make this game more fun.
"You alive in there Kalick?" Fervo mewed, his voice slightly monotone from his boredom. He waved a paw in front of the Preluhna's face, but he didn't move, or even blink.

Eventually, Kalick mewed slowly, "I'm...thinking..." His tails twitched slightly as he stared down at his paws.
"Congrats then, Kalick," Fervo muttered sarcastically. "It's nice to know you've overcome the difficulties of thinking. Good job."
"Shut up, Fervo. Just for that, I'm going to add a new element to the game." Kalick grinned mischieviously at Fervo, then turned to look at Prisma. "Alright, we'll play Marco Polo. But while we say 'marco' and 'polo', Fervo has to quack. Because I say so."
Fervo wrinkled his nose at this and opened his mouth to protest, but Kalick continued. "And when you get tagged, you have to freeze, and wait for someone to come untag you by running under your legs. And...well...yeah..."

[[DX Epic failure there with the game ideas. I couldn't come up with anything, so I put off posting. Then I saw how long I let it sent so I quick threw a post in there. Sorry it took so long.]]

[Mahkah lv10][51]

Postby Citanul » 10/31/2008 12:56 PM

The dusty Sahound nodded. It made sense, already being warmed up and ready for some training... Why waste a day? He was sure that if they had to watch Prisma there was little time for training.

Though he was huge for a Sahound Mahkah was still dwarfed by the larger canines. He didn't seem to mind though, leaving his ball on the shore as he followed Silk, though through a different path on the slippery rocks. He had a slight advantage over the two, his paws being webbed between them. It gave him better footing, tail wagging to its own accord as he watched Brytag's formidable presence. "Ready! I'm always ready!"

Prisma [12] Silk [12] Brytag [11]

Postby Kallile » 12/07/2008 10:45 PM

Prisma ruffled up the fur on her chest as she listened to the two males quarreled. It was endearing, in a childish way. But it was much better than the more hurtful ways of some of her pen mates. As she listened to the new rules, she nodded her head and unruffled her fur. "Alright..."

She thought things through slowly, tracing tiny circles in the dirt with her claws. This would be quite a challenge for her, she just hoped it would keep they boys attention. "I'll volunteer to go first then."A gentle smile graced her cheerful face, tails wagging carefully. She knew it may come as a surprise, but having their voices and footsteps to follow would help her learn the layout of the area. Standing up she wiggled her body in anticipation. "Alright...are you both ready?"

~*~

Silk only smiled and watched the Sahound run up towards her mate. His enthusiasm was something she greatly missed in the younger generation, but she knew that very thing would grate slowly on Brytag's nerves. The big brute was very against young of all kinds—even though Silk herself adored children.

Brytag only snorted to the Sahound, motioning for him to come under the falls. "First we weaken ourselves under the falls...then it's up the cliff. The penalty for not pushing yourself is a hefty fall—the outcome of which we are not responsible for."

(( Oh my, so late. o__o;;; ))
"I have been hidden, scorned, adored, worshiped, forsaken, coveted and banished more times than I care to count. But the one thing all those experiences cannot steal from me is the gentle soul I was born with, the kind heart I have molded, and the bright ideals for the future that have lit my way through the darkness of the past."

Feravelo smoothed his ruffled fur with a quick lick of his pink tongue, then continued to ignore Kalick. Stupid idiot...Fervo didn't even know why he left the guy waste his time like this...he tried to smash the feelings of loyalty and friendship, wanting to be annoyed with Kalick, but he failed. No matter what he said, the Preluhna was his friend, even if they both quarrled almost constantly. He couldn't avoid it even when he tried, and so instead he gave a small sigh and gave in. Stretching, he mewed tartly, "I am not going to quack. End of discussion." He would at least hold true to that statement. There was no way that he was going to fall that low.

Kalick nodded, bouncing around on his paws, energy flowing through his limbs. He was becoming his usual, hyperactive self, ready to jump, bound, and race away if needed. Well, he would go easy on Prisma, since she was blind. He couldn't get too wild about this game, or else, he thought, she'd never be able to keep up.
"On the count of three, me and Ducky here'll start going, 'kay? And you will quack Fervo, even if I have to hold you down to make you do it. Now, one...two..." Kalick sucked in one last breath, crouching low to the ground, before bounding away. "Three!"

[:dead: This has to be the longest I've forgotten to post for a roleplay. So sorry, Kallile and Citanul. DX]

[Mahkah lv10][52]

Postby Citanul » 12/29/2008 12:22 AM

((Hehe, it's okay. We understand.))

Mahkah wasn't exactly young... Just enthusiastic. He kept himself under control though, at least trying not to get on the bigger male's nerves. Even though he was strong there was the size difference between them. "I understand." Nodding he wagged his tail and shifted from his spot to stand beside Brytag. Though smaller his body was compact, sturdy and ready to handle the force of the falls. His ears laid back however... He didn't want another trip to the hospital for an ear infection from water getting into them. His large ears could get him into trouble sometimes, but right now he wasn't really thinking of that. Onlyh of proving himself in front of these two new friends.

Prisma [13] Silk [13] Brytag [12]

Postby Kallile » 01/01/2009 12:26 PM

Prisma laughed softly as the boys argued—their voices reminded her a little of the kits that once ran around the Estate tormenting one another. There was something more in Kalick’s voice now—an excitement Prisma pondered that she may not be hearing the full depth of.  Once Kalick began to count, Prisma readied herself. However, she did not do this as one might think—curling herself up ready to spring and certainly not covering her eyes—Prisma hunkered low to the ground and trained her ears to it.

It would be difficult, she already knew that. But loosing her sight had made her hearing that much better. If she could pick one boy and follow him...then by listening to how his paws fell on the ground she hoped to get a decent mental image of the landscape and be able to keep up. Maybe even surprise Kalick.

She let them head out for a few seconds until she began to loose the sounds of their paws in the grass, then called “Marco!”

~*~

Brytag kept a watch on the youngster out of the corner of his eyes, but said nothing else. He was already starting to wobble under the force of the falls—now he must endure even more to let the Sahound have a chance to get to a weakened stage.

Silk, on the other hand, seemed much less concerned for the training. She practiced making her ribbons go from ethereal to solid and back, sending waves of water spraying into the air. She smiled to Mahkah adoringly—he reminded her of some of her own pups she had raised years ago. “Not long now—we don’t want to wear ourselves entirely out.” She reassured him, even though she was sure it was not needed.

((No worries Ghost! I took forever to reply too. ^^; ))

Re: Day in the Sun [Semi-Open]

Feravelo began running rather sluggishly, thinking that Prisma wouldn't have a chance. He decided that at least he'd be nice, even if Kalick wanted to race around like Death himself was the chaser. He glanced back at Prisma, seeing that she was sitting there, ears twitching. Poor thing. She probably had no idea how she was going to be able to play, without ever even seeing the area around them. He slowed down even a little less, feeling pity for her, than heard her call out. "Polo," he responded, his voice lacking a lot of enthusiasm.

Kalick bounced from place to place, as if the ground were made of lava, until he rested on a tall stone. He crouched, his tail hanging over the edge, and watched Feravelo. It didn't look like the Arkuhna was having too much fun. Pouting, Kalick twitched a tail in annoyance. Why did he have to ruin everything? He was about to jump off his stone and give Feravelo a little talking to, but then Prisma really started the game. Forgetting Fervo entirely, Kalick bounced off the stone, crying, "Polo!"

[Mahkah lv10][53]

Postby Citanul » 01/26/2009 6:15 PM

Even with his pup-like mentality, and being smaller than the other canines, Mahkah stood strong against the falls. His lower center of gravity made the force lessen, though one could figure no more than the bands around the Sheilupes lessened their training.

Mahkah nodded and smiled, looking a little odd with his ears plastered down to his head. "Because we still have to scale the cliff." He smiled softly, glancing over to Brytag. The other was already weakened... He hoped he didn't show him up too badly infront of his mate.

Prisma [14] Silk [14] Brytag [13]

Postby Kallile » 02/07/2009 11:19 AM

Prisma listened to their voices as they came back to her. Fervo was far closer than Kalick—who she assumed was the one rustling all the grass around. Fervo it was then—his pace was slower and therefore his footsteps more pronounced. She grinned a little—giving chase with much more speed than might be expected. To any paying close attention, they might have been able to tell that she was following the exact path Fervo had taken while still in close range to her. Every step nearly matched—the sound itself a good enough guide that she trusted her feet to carry her safely.

She paused where she had started loosing the sounds of paws at her starting position, ears swiveling around. She did not call out just yet—she still knew the general direction that Fervo had traveled. The question was, did he think she was just running blindly or was he realizing he was the hunted? Kalick would be a  little more difficult. While he left a much easier sound trail for her close up—he did move quickly. And right now, he was too far away for Prisma to trust her mental mapping to get to him.

~*~
Brytag was not concerned about being shown up in front of his mate. In fact, if push came to shove Silk would show him up every time. He did not, however, want to let the younger show him up for the mere fact that he was an outsider.  He stepped backwards out of the thundering waters. Enough was enough for now—the cliff called.

Silk remained still, looking to Mahkah. “Stay as long as you need. He’ll be stubborn the entire day—don’t let it get to you.” She continued to flex her ribbons, seeming to stay standing effortlessly when the full force of the falls slammed against her back between solid states.

[Mahkah lv10][54]

Postby Citanul » 05/20/2009 2:51 PM

Nodding slightly to Silk's words Mahkah remained under the falls for a few more minutes before he went to follow Brytag, shaking his coat. It poofed comically but he soon wiggled his ears a little, glad to have them out again. Everything had been so muffled, under the roar of the falls and his ears being pinned down.

He seemed to feel better though, stretching and watching Brytag, waiting for more instructions.
