((Shhh, I'm still in my eggy casing. o3o))
A small blue egg wiggled in the grass as the wing stirred it, carrying its slightly rotten smell through the air. The cool wind was cooling it; it welcomed the break from the constant heat its own body was making.

Suddenly a very interesting conscious came in contact with his. Interested, he wiggled, as if straining to get closer to the pet with the interesting conscious. The blue and white egg was wiggling so much that it would be almost impossible to not notice it- even harder if you hadn't already smelled it.

Suddenly the egg lurched forward and started rolling downhill. Oh no! Scared, the creature in the egg, almost at full maturity, let out a terrifying bolt of incoherent thought to any creature in the general area that could hear it. It rolled and rolled, but finally hit a rocky river bank and slowed to a stop. The egg was bruised but uncracked, thankfully. But who would find it now?

Mummer wasn't looking down, but up. He almost kicked the egg, but the slight flash of blue in his vision stopped him. It had been so close he actually flapped his arms and back peddled, falling down on his rump with the soft sound of branches in the breeze and then a splash.
"Umph!" the closest thing to a word left Mummer. He sat there for a moment, dazed, before scrambling up. The rocks plus his leafy (or not leafy?) body made a sort of "sweeping the floor" sort of sound as he re approached the egg, picking it up and holding it close to himself. The egg was sort of heavy and... full, feeling. It wouldn't be long until it hatched, maybe?

He started to slowly, slowly cross the river. It was a strong current, but nothing he couldn't handle. He would have sprinted across but now he had an egg to watch, to the trek was slow and oddly painful. Mummer didn't do slow.
Finally on the other side he approached the rollaby to check and make sure that the egg, was in fact, one of them last.

((You don't have to leave, Moof. I'll be sticking around and roleplaying Malizian for a little bit myself, even if everyone else heads out. Though this has kind of died... =3=;;))

Malizian was stunned. He had been watching the two groups, as they had both stayed within his sight range, and all of them had found an egg except for the Lucain female. But he was sure if all of them had found one, then she was bound to come across one, if she kept looking.

"Oh wow, Mummer- you found another egg!" he said, smiling. "Thank the Gods! I guess I'm not as good at hiding these things as I thought." he said, color coming to his face. He probably didn't even have to hire these people! Gods, was he a drama queen or what?

Well, since the crisis was pretty much averted, he felt himself getting his old personality back. No more stressing little mess for him, no way! He was here to have fun.

[Moofius]

Mummer sat down, egg in his lap, his long tail wagging happily. What to do now? His tail wagged back and forth in the dirt, clearing a spot for him to write. He turned, careful of the egg while he sat squat on his knees, writing in the dirt.

Are there anymore eggs? Do you need help finding them?

He smiled up at Malizian. He looked like fun. Once the evergreen was sure the message had been read he erased it simply by rubbing his arm against the ground.

Or maybe we could play together?

Kartossa perched in a tree, scanning the landscape for even a hint of an egg. Mintri seemed to have forgotten the existence of the rest of the world and was busy reading her book, still sitting in the small hole she'd dug. Kartossa sighed but made no move to distract her friend.

She jumped out of the tree and circled slowly over the river, waiting. She would find something else. Maybe.

Well, probably not, but she was enjoying herself.

Mummer, getting no response wiped away the words he'd written, feeling a little dejected. Hmm... Well he could keep looking for eggs. It seemed that most of the others, if not all of the others, had given up.

Malizian hadn't been paying much attention, but as Mummer started to wipe away the message, he tried to see what he was doing. "Hmm? Mummer, what was that? Sorry, wasn't paying much attention." he said apoligetically, squatting down on the ground with the Evergreen.

Mummer blinked before the material around her face shifted into one might assume as a smile before he squatted down a re-wrote his message.

Are there anymore eggs? Do you need help finding them? Or maybe we could play together?

Malizian's eyes darted over it, taking in the words. "Well, assuming I spread them evenly, I think that's it for here. There may be one egg left, but I can't be sure."

Reading the last sentence, he smiled. "Well, that sounds like a good idea. Why not?" he said, looking rather dapper.

((And I know. There's just no eggs to find anymore. *shrugs* I wonder if Flame will ever join us...))

[Moofius]

Jumping up from his crouched position Mummer threw himself at the rollaby. Because he didn't actually leap he actually grabbed the rollabies shoulder before sinking, slowly, lower and lower, his belly on the ground pretty much. He didn't seem at all fazed, his tail wagging back and forth quickly to make a happy jingling sound.

(( Short. Erm. I might leave if there are no eggs left. D8! xDx;; ))

Kartossa landed next to Mintri. It was probably a good idea to head home soon. Anyway, someone--she couldn't remember who--had asked her to fix their computer when she got back. They'd found what they came for, and now they were done.

Mintri looked up. "Oh. Hi. We're going home?" She stuck her book in her satchel, making sure not to break the egg. Then she started humming.

Kartossa rolled her eyes. "Come on, let'sh go." She pulled Mintri to her feet, then grinned. "Bet you can't catch me." This was the only way to keep Mintri going one direction for any length of time, she'd discovered. She flew across the falls as fast as she could, Mintri trying to decide whether to chase her before finally following, still humming.

((Erm... *really doesn't have much she can offer* I was planning to be able to give you more, but the money and restocking factored in getting eggs and I just wasn't able to. Sorry. You can leave, there are no more eggs. Looks like Flame is out- whoever didn't find an egg will be getting something else, but I think everyone found something here.))

Malizian looked surprised by the sudden contact, and as Mummer sank to the ground, he fought the urge to jump back. "Haha!" he laughed nervously, watching the Evergreen warily. "Uhhm..." he mumbled, wondering if he should do the same thing. Deciding at the last minute, he kicked up his feet and spun towards Mummer, and began to roll around him in the Rollaby fashion.

Mummer was ready to play, really ready but just when he was ready he could feel the egg moving. It seemed it was ready to hatch and Mummer wasn't sure he could handle it by himself! What if something went wrong? Mummer wasn't sure if he was exactly the motherly type.
With large, exaggerated motion of his arms he pointed to the egg and shivered. Something was up.

In the dirt he quickly scrawled:
I must go, the egg. So sorry!

He made the cliche blowing kisses sign to mark his departure and scampered off as quick as his stumpy legs could carry him.
