Zeira, Female Glacial Werecain

The young werecain trotted through the caverns. She wasn't trying to be quiet, though it may have been smarter if she had. Her claws would occasionally strike a rock making a dull sound that seemed to echo through the shadows, and a dull flame sparked from a lantern she had found and hooked ofer the spikes on one of her tails where it moved with the lazy wag.
She didn't know why she was here, exactly. Normally dark places didn't draw her. She was rebellious but not evil. And she was normally two lazy to be very adventurous. More of the type to go around public places and just people watch with her friend Willow. Willow had been distracted with being on a hunting group for the Sahound pack, so it was just Zeira for now. Just Zeira trotting through dark caverns with nothing more than a dim lamp to guide her way. Her extremely rash adventure was getting a tad lonely at this point.

Walking not far from the werecain was a lucain named Gloria. She had found things at home rather boring lately. Maybe this could be a bit more exciting. 'Yeah right, like I'm gonna find an akail.' She rolled her eyes. With her luck, she'd picked the most lifeless cavern here. 'Why do I bother?', she wondered.

She started humming to herself, looking for some sign of life. 'What am I gonna do if I do find one?', she thought. After all, she doubted that she was nearly as strong as an akail. Oh well, she'd worry about that later. And why hadn't she brought some source of light? She could hardly see and the cave was getting darker and darker.

Majimono stretched and opened her eyes, the werecain and lucain she had foreseen had finally turned up, she had been waiting for half an hour and had almost fallen asleep in the little alcove she has discovered.

It was understandable that they hadn't spotted her yet, the cave was dark and with her dark cursed markings and small size and stature she blended in well. But now she had opened her eyes they would surely spot them glowing brightly in the darkness.

She leapt noiselessly down to the cave floor and started moving silently toward the newcomer, she hoped their quest would be succesful, unfortunately she couldnt foretell very far into the future and her visions were sporadic, so she could not foretell the outcome of their exploration.

She could have some fun at the very least, she enjoyed dark places and found that piercing bright eyes watching from the shadows scared many creatures and in a place like these caverns this werecain and lucain were likely already jumpy, Maji smiled a faintly evil smile to herself.

The light from the lantern still waved gently, not showing much but rocks and dirt and the occasional cool-looking rock formation, though those kind of counted as rocks. It never changed too much. And then there was a noise. Just barely in hearing range probably, extremely quiet and would've been unheard if it wasn't for her sensitive canine ears. It was a sound made by a living creature, not just the wind taunting her, asking her why she was here. So she wasn't quite alone.
"Whose there?" She called, not specifically to any one direction, as the echo of the walls made it hard to locate the sound.

Maji was surprised to here the werecain call out (the lucain was not far from the werecain and the werecain must be aware of the lucain by now so it must have been her she had heard not the lucain), she hadn't expected to be heard as she jumped down, but she could tell the werecain could at least not see her and didnt know who or what she was, she decided to play a bit longer before she revealed herself.

She stopped in the shadows and clambered onto a rock to make herself look bigger than she really was, then she caught the lanterns faint light in her already bright eyes to make them shine even more and let a quite eerie evil chuckle escape her.

Gloria's ears perked up when she heard a voice. 'Who's there?' She began walking, attempting to figure out where the voice came from. She saw a faint light up ahead. That must be it. She walked a bit quicker, until she reached the werecain. "Hello. I'm Gloria." She glanced to the side, noticing a shadowy figure with bright eyes. She stared intently, trying to figure out what could be up there.

The lucain approached and introduced herself. Gloria. Nice name. Zeira was about to do the same, but realized a distraction in the other canine's eyes. Following the gaze, the werecain noticed the glowing eyes. She had to admit the round glints hovering in the darkness were a tad creepy, but Zeira didn't usually show her fear. She kinda had a rebellious 'bad girl' image going usually, or atleast looked indifferent. Not to mention the sight brought back a memory of a speach she remembered the know-it-all venom draculi who lived in the Meadow  give to some young kids. If eyes glow like that, they are nocturnal creatures and unless they are extremely territorial or you are a prey species to them they should not cause fear. Blah, blah, blah.
So instead she tried to talk to the glowing eyes. "And you are? Before I complete this circle of introductions you may as well add your own."
How many animals saw Werecains as prey anyways? Her tail lowered slightly at the thought, the cavern dimming the tiniest bit.

Maji Chuckled happily, she had enjoyed her game and got both the 'cains' attention. She liked watching others while they didn't know they were beign watched or who was watching them.

She jumped down from her perch into the faint lantern light and smiled not exactly a friendly smile but not unfriendly either.

"I am Maji"she said imperiously, "You two took your time getting here" she added, hoping to creep them out with the fact that she knew they were going to come to these caverns before either of them did.

Gloria gave a small nod, greeting Maji. You two took your time getting here, she heard. That was strange; how did she know? She shrugged it off. She'd probably find out soon enough. "Nice to meet ya." She looked back to the werecain, waiting for her to introduce herself.

Zeira nodded respectfully at the fenling, something rare for the werecain to do. They'd been expected. She'd heard fenlings could tell the future or something. But she'd heard it from the most megalomaniactic fenling ever, so she had never been sure it was true. Then again, he would pretend to be expecting them to get them to believe it. Real or fake, it didn't matter too much.
They were looking at her expectantly. Her turn. "I'm called Zeira." She said, still trying to sound polite. Such manners felt weird on her tongue, but she wanted to make a decent first impression, even if it wouldn't be a lasting one nessicarily.

Maji nodded to the werecain and the lucain, they were both much bigger than her but she knew they would respect her power as she respected them.

Maji stood up and started to walk further into the cavern "we go this way, there is a series of tunnels further back and I have seen us exploring them, they seemed a likely place to meet an akail in my visions, but I cannot tell you if we will find one or not, I can only tell you which way we go"She told them.

"Zeira, I believe this is your quest, you are the leader I am merely here to help guide you as my visions guide me, you and Gloria should lead the way once we have reached the tunnels".

Gloria smiled to the fenling. She didn't know for sure if she was telling the truth, but why not follow her? There was, of course, the chance that Maji was leading them somewhere dangerous. But she'd just be careful. "Have you guys been here before?" she asked, looking first at Maji and then at Zeira.

"Never"Maji replied,"My owner just moved to Evelon today, I have been having recurring visions for the past week of this, I had to come otherwise I would not get peace". Maji glared at Gloria, it was obvious the lucain didn't believe in a creature being able to foretell the future, it was true that Maji couldn't control her foretelling and she couldn't see far into the future (this made it harder to prove her ability unfortunately) but that didnt mean it wasnt true.

"Maybe one day you should visit my home, my best friend is a Dreamsnare Yonyuu who has the ability to walk among dreams and change them as he sees fit, we also have a Dreamsnare Battleheart but she is very vicious and not as strong as Yume the Yonyuu!", It irked her when others didnt believe her but she realised that she was unlikely to change their minds if they had decided it was not possible, and she didnt want to be bickering during the whole adventure so she stopped glaring at Gloria and trotted ahead of her and Zeira to the tunnel entrance.

She was the leader? She was some teenage werecain who was just here to escape her duties as pack omega. But an Akail? She's heard of them. Heard descriptions. Yes, yes. She wouldn't mind befriending one of those. She would follow the fenling.
Gloria asked a question. Been here before? No. Paddy had, the old blind 'cain, went with the little Dalma. "I haven't. Normally I don't come places like this, but I figured, why not?"

Gloria ignored the fact that the fenling was glaring at her. It wasn't that she didn't believe her, just that she wasn't sure. It wasn't in her nature to be very trusting. "I know a dreamsnare bleeder. He can also change dreams, although he usually keeps to himself. He's a good guy, kinda strange, though." Gloria nodded to Zeira. "I haven't either."
