After finding her own prey, and now fully satisfied, the werecain made her way to the cave.
Maji wasn't quite at the entrance, Zeira noticed with annoyance. And she herself was already to go back in there. Though it would almost be smarter to wait till night, as that was when she could see Akails be more likely to come out, the rebellious canine had never had that much patience.
"Maji?" She calleld, really not wanting to go search for the fenling. "If  you don't get back here, I'll go search without you!" It was an empty threat, no doubt. The werecain wouldn't admit it, but she wouldn't enter those caverns alone if her life depended on it. Okay. If her life depended on it, she might. But it didn't, so she wouldn't. But she had learned through experience that adding threats helped get people to do things.
You may call, you may call
But the little black cats won't hear you.
The little black cats are maddened
By the bright green light of the moon;
They are whirling and running and hiding,
They are wild who were once so confiding,
They are crazed when the moon is riding
You will not catch the kittens soon.
They care not for saucers of milk,
They think not of pillows of silk;
Your softest, crooningest call
Is less than the buzzing of flies.
They are seeing more than you see,
They are hearing more than you hear,
And out of the darkness they peer.
With a goblin light in their eyes!

Maji's ears flicked as the sounds of Zeira calling for her faintly reached them. Opening her eyes blearily she looked about herself, was Zeira threatening to go in without her?, well that would never do!, Maji got up stretched and lay back down on her other side, and with a little yawn was soon breathing deeply again with sleep.

The meaning of this was clear, she wasn't anyones lapdog to be ordered about, even if it meant her visions would be messed up as a result. Zeira would have to either make good on her threat and go on without her so Maji would have to catch up with her (which wouldn't bother her in the slightest) or she'd have to come and find her.

Zeira waited a time for Maji to come and was annoyed when she didn't. The fenling probably hadn't even heard her. Or she had and was just being a pest. Figures.
Zeira sighed and turned to look for the fenling. "Come on, Maji! We can't hang around here forever! Are we gonna go search or not?"

Maji was fast asleep, this time her ears didn't flicker to the sound of Zeira's voice. She was dreaming deeply, maybe it was even a vision?

Her body twitched, her feet sprang into life making a running motion, probably dreaming of chasing more tasty rattegans, or perhaps of being chased by an Akail?.

Suddenly she awoke, jumping up and whirling around, looking wildly in every direction. She seemed to calm down again and became aware of where she was.

Flattening her body she crept under cover towards the caverns, her lips twitching into a smile, she sprinted and pounced aiming for Zeira's back...

The fur on the base of Zeira's neck bristled, and she couldn't stop the voice of a certain humanoid from the Meadow from making a comic book reference inside her head. Stupid nerdy feline.
The werecain whirled around quickly though, somehow jumping back at the same time, honestly surprising herself as well.
It was Maji playing around. Should've been expected. "There you are!" Zeira exclaimed, "Now, back to the cave."
The glacial canine turned to walk back towards the entrance to the caverns, but stopped to turn back to make sure the mischievous fenling was following.

Maji landed, somewhat dissapointed that she hadn't managed to actually catch Zeira, she rolled her eyes, this Werecain was no fun instantly ordering her back into the caves.

She stayed where she was, while Zeira went ahead, but as she turned back to check if Maji was coming or not she realised she would have to go. Trotting along behind the werecain, Maji felt more energy building up inside of her, she wanted to be running and jumping and pouncing and well, everything! She had no idea why she was feeling so restless, but of course the best way to stop that feeling is to expend the extra energy.

Maji burst into a run again, leaping and pouncing every now and then, attacking small stones as if they were prey, you'd think she was a little cub the way she was acting, but she was well beyond the cub age being a few years older than Zeira. She was both being very quiet and extremely noisy, as her soft fluffy feet were soundless but when she landed she as often as not sent stones skittering and clattering about.

This behaviour looked like it could last some time, but at least she seemed to have left her evilness behind for now.

Zeira watched, wide eyed, as the fenling dashed ahead of her. It was odd to see someone who had previously been so mature if not a little twisted now acting so playful. But Zeira didn't question the fenling's condition this time. She knew she wouldn't get a straight answer.
Instead she followed with quick strieds as Maji scampered playfully along ahead. The fenling wasn't making noise often, but when she did, it was doubtlessly audiable. "Me careful." Zeira said. "I don't know how much the akails are going to like all that noise."
But she didn't try to calm the fenling or anything. As long as she was attacking small pebles and not the werecain, Zeira had no problem with it.

Maji zipped about the place, seemingly tireless, she bounced and leapt her way back down the tunnels. Spotting the quick pile of stones she had made earlier she attempted to stop, but was going at such a speed she ended up tumbling down the tunnel knocking the pile of stones flying as if she was a bowling ball and they bowling pins.

Shaking herself she got back up again, she wasn't hurt, but her energy had fled (at least temporarily), she sobered and turned to face Zeira, "This is the next tunnel to check, do you want to go first?". Further down the main tunnel the sounds of pebbles and rocks could still be faintly heard skidding about and clattering over the stone floor, Maji however didn't seem phased by the noise she had caused.

After tumbling over the pile of rocks that she had left earlier, the fenling had finally settled down. Zeira resisted breathing a sigh of relief as she took the last few quite strides to in front of the tunnel entrance. The fenling approached her now, seemingly back to normal and asked her if she wanted to enter the tunnel first.
"Yeah, sure." Zeira answered, and moved to enter the branch. It was kinda narrow to a few of the others, but surely that would be no problem, and possibly even a comfort to the slim-bodied akails. She flicked her tails at Maji, requesting that the fenling follow, before walking on down the natural-made corridor.

Maji followed close behind Zeira, the narrow walls were not a bother to her in the slightest what with her small size, "Can you see anything? Any tracks?" she whispered to Zeira.

She looked at the floor herself for clues, but she couldn't see much yet, there seemed to be very little debris so far in this tunnel.

Zeira seemed to be taking them quite a bit further than any of the previous tunnels, so Maji reasoned that either she had found recent evidence of Akails or she also couldn't find much evidence and so wanted to make absolutely sure by taking a good and proper look.

Upon hearing the question, Zeira squinted at the ground. "I think I might see something... Can't tell yet..."
It was getting to be a long walk through this one. Zeira was hoping to find a place where it would broaden out into more of a room than a hall way, and that would be easier to tell, but so far it was just a long hall way.
It made the werecain wonder about how many entrances and exits there were to these caverns, and if they were perhaps on the way to another exit. Then again, she didn't feel any wind coming at her, and didn't see a light, so she didn't think so.

Maji was getting impatient again, she wanted to just rush ahead and see what came of it, but although Zeira didn't seem like the violent sort, she may well attack Maji out of fear of Maji attracting an Akail, she was brave, but not stupid.

Seeing Zeira's tails in front of her, waving about slowly, Maji got an uncontrollable urge to attack them, she did try to control herself, but it really was uncontrollable, and she felt so confined in this thin tunnel. She started batting away at the air around Zeira's tails, and being careful to avoid the large blades in them, she softly swatted at them with velvet paws, a big grin on her face. What was wrong with Maji today? She seemed to have gone totally nuts, from being the mystical adult seer, to a childish cub...

The tunnel started to widen, just slightly. Hopefully it would open into a room and there would be signs of Akail life. Or even an Akail itself.
She wagged her tails slightly at the thought feeling the fur at the very tip at one brush something. She glanced back over her shoulder to see Maji with one paw raised at it. "What are you doing? You went through like a creepy mood change since we met..."

Maji blinked at Zeira, she honestly didn't know why she had been feeling and acting like this, she could only surmise that it had something to do with spending so much time underground, and so long away from Yume as he usually kept her sane so to speak.

She wasn't the sort of fenling who would go through the trouble of explaining her actions to someone else, no matter who they were. Instead she moved up next to Zeira, now that the tunnel width just about allowed her to, she could now see further ahead, which enabled her to keep her mind concentrated on something else.

"I believe I recognise this place from my visions" she told Zeira, "Although truth to tell, many of these tunnels look practically the same to me, I don't think my visions are going to be of much use". Well she hadn't explained herself to the Werecain, but she was beginning to act a bit more like her old self again.

The fenling had calmed down again, and Zeira watched as Maji came up beside her. The passage had just widened enough. Maji never did answer her question, but Zeira didn't mind as it was mostly just to make sure she was aware of what she was doing instead of actually getting an answer.
The fenling had started talking about her visions and that this place seemed familiar but no guarentees. Many fenlings around her place didn't seem to worry about the visions that much, so Zeira hadn't had enough proof they were acurate enough anyway. "So do ya think we should keep searching down this one? Or turn back?"
