Zokie peered into the entrance of the tunnel. Was she really in there? He frowned.
He sighed. "I have no choice," he murmered. "Either she's in there and in grave danger. Or she's in there and about to be."
He shrugged and plunged into the dark tunnel.

Twine coughed loudly. Her whole body hurt.
She looked around her, it was pitch black. She shivered.
Cold. Freezing. Like ice.
Where am I? she thought.

Zokie slid down the tunnel, he could barely see where he was going. It wasn't very long until it opened up into a large enough area for him to stand up in.
He could only just see that it was a slightly unlevel cavern. There were many small rocks scattered around, he could feel them. They were cold and sharp.
"Ouch," he hissed, brushing his hands on his coat.
He sat up into a crouching position.
Slowly, he rose up into a standing position. He moved cautiously towards the end of the cavern.

Shivering now, twine tried to sit up. She only just managed to, but it sent a piercing pain up her left leg, she was pretty sure that she'd hit it on something.
As she looked around, realization dawned on her. She remembered that she had fallen into the tunnel.
How far did I fall? she wondered. She tenderly touched her leg, it hurt as if she'd jabbed it hard with something pointy.
She sighed and rested her back against the wall. I just hope I'll get out of this place. I'd rather die peacefully than of cold... or worse...
She shivered again, but this time not from the chill...

Zokie 1 . 2 - Twine 1 . 2

Zokie stood at the back of the cavern. He sighed again.
Where before there had looked like a single tunnel leading off, there was now two.
Wich one had she gone down?
He inspected the one closest to him, to the right. I had been undisturbed for months, possibly years even. He then looked over the one on the left, It had been recently disturbed. by her, no doubt.
"Here I come," He muttered.

Still shivering from the cold stones, Twine sat there in almost complete silence.
She had her phone in her pocket, but she was positive that it wouldn't get much signal down here.
With a groan she tried to adjust her leg so that it was more comfortable.
"Zokie..." she mumbled, trying to forget the pain.

Zokie could have sworn he heard his name being said, faintly, very faintly. Twine?
Forgetting completely about his own safety, he ran into the left tunnel.

Twine lifted her head and looked around her,she was beginning to sense someone, or something, aproahing. She tried to rise, but her leg... A peircing pain shot through it.
But regardless, she stood up and edged along the wall, away from the presence.
This just keeps getting better and better, she thought.
She found an entrance to another tunnel and began to make her way inside. She tripped over a rock and fell down hard.

Zokie slid down the tunnel, it was steep. Nasty.
He hit the bottom with a slight impact. The noise echoed around the room.
Zokie stood up and looked around the cavern. "Twine?" He said into the darkness.

It took Twine alot of effort to stop herself from crying out in pain. She'd tripped over a small bump in the tunnel floor. Though the echo of her hitting the ground seemed so loud...
She grimaced. What have I gotten myself into?
The stone floor was so cold. She gasped.
The other being hit the floor. she heard the echo of thier impact, not massivly loud. They were definitely light on thier feet.
Then she heard her name and froze. "Zokie?"

Zokie groaned. "Don't call me that," he moaned, walking towards Twine
Twine smiled at him, "Can and will."
Zokie helped her up. "Well it would make me a whole lot hapier if you didn't."
Grinning, she said, "Now where's the fun in that?"
He laughed. A rare sound.
"Well, hate to burst your bubble, but we have a problem. Unless you can climb with that leg of yours, were pretty much stuck here." He sighed.
Twine started to object, but instead gasped out in pain as her leg started hurting again.
Zokie sighed, "We better find some place for you to rest a while."
"I'm fine," Twine objected. But winced as she tried to push away from Zokie and stay upright at the same time. She knew that she wasn't fine, but she wasn't going to let her pride be injured just like that!

Zokie quickly came to Twine's aid when she almost fell over.
"It's ok. Injury is nothing to be ashamed of," he said, leading her into the cavern ahead. He didn't meen to go in deeper, but did so without really thinking about it.
Twine sighed in submission. "Very well."
"Well you're still alive, for now."
"Gee, really? I had no idea," Twine said, her voice thick with sarcasm. She rolled her eyes, though it was getting so dark you could barely see it. She sighed and, with Zokie's help, sat down by a wall of the small cavern they were in.
