[Ningai]

It was over, I could fight no more. I was about to give up when I saw Kage. A doomed one swooped towards him and with the last of my energy I jumped infront and took the blow. Then with blurred eyes I saw someone. He looked the same as always.

I came out of the tunnel just in time to see Jason take a blow that was meant for the other creature that lead me here. It was definately him. I looked at the doomed ones who were getting ready for the next strike. They all swooped down at once and with one sturdy blow I smashed my tail at them. It hit them dead on. It was over. No more doomed beings were comming and the only thing left were the millions of doomed boddies on the ground. Actually I was impressed by the amount. I looked at Kage and watched.

I saw the doomed ones as they swooped in to kill me. I thought that I was a gonner but then a second later I looked back and they were back where they started about to attack again! I wasn't sure what appened, but then I saw Jason's body infront of me. Now I understood. He took the blow for me. I looked back at the doomed ones in time to see Takai-ato hit them with his tail. It was amazing. The power of the swing was so great that it killed them in one blow!

[Ningai]

Everything was going black. My breath slowed. My mind spun. I passed out.

I picked up Jason and headed back to my den. When I arrived, I placed him down on a soft bed. I didn't care for the other creature but it was travelling with Jason so I alowed it to follow and enter my home. I went and layed down on my bed waitting for Jason to wake up.

I followed Takai-ato back to his home. I thought that maybe Jason would die. That worried me. I had finally found a friend, or close enough to it. I went towards where Takai-ato placed Jason. He looked like he was in pain and peace at the same time. Perhaps he was. I sat by his side waiting for him to wake up.

[Ningai]

It felt as if time hadn't passed.I tried to open my eyes, but they felt like some one had glued them down. I was finally able to get them open. The first thing I saw was Kage. He looked worried. I then moved my head painfully to the side and saw Takai-ato. I managed to say, "Thanks Takai-" before I passed back out.

I saw Jason as he began to open his eyes. I knew he was weak from the fight, but he managed to thank me. Go Figure. I gave him a little grin back. He needed his rest and then we could talk after he regained some of his strength.

At first I was worried.It had been a long time since we brought him to Takia-ato's den. Finally Jason opened his eyes and a great relief swept over me. All I could do now was wait and hope he gets better quickly.

[Ningai]

It was dark. Time passed as if it were mere seconds. I dreamed of the past, all the negative things that had happened. And of the one thing that saved me.

I got up and headed towards the door near the woods. It would be a long time till Jason would wake up again and when he does, he will need some food. It was near dark, a perfect time to hunt. I walked out of the house and ignoring everything else around me I started into the forest. Once I was deep enough in the forest not to be seen I shifted forms. I needed my human form so that I could sneak up on the pray. As a dragon creature it would be too hard. I heard something in the trees. The hunting game had begun.

I was sitting quietly beside Jason when Takai-ato suddenly got up and began walking away! Quickly and curiously I called out, "Hey Takai-ato, where are you going? Hello? Will Jason be alright? What are you doing?" I kept asking him what he was doing but he simply ignored me1 It was if I wasn't even there. Well it wasn't like I had the guts to take him on or anything so I just watched him as he left. I was alone with Jason (who was still unconscious) and the guilt started to sink in. 'It was my fault, if I hadn't have gotten injured, of if I fought them instead, Jason would be alright. What have I done? Why did I have to leave him to fight the doomed ones on my own? ... ... ...' I rambled to myself in my head as I entered a zoned out state.

[Ningai]

Relaxed. I felt much better since the fight. My eyes finally didn't feel heavy. I opened them to see Kage in a deep sleep, or at least it looked like he was asleep. I didn't see Takai-ato though. I figured he must have gone out hunting. Hunting was one thing he was extremely good at. He hunted as if he was simply a shadow of the prey. His kills were precise and quick. No pain. I slowly got up from where I was laying. I think it was Takai-ato's bed. I could still feel the cuts and bruises. I looked down to see the wounds. They were wrapped in band-aids. Wasn't much of a surprise. I walked towards a mini pond in Takai-ato's home. The water was pure and as I drank from it, it refreshed me.

'Thee deer. That should be good. I eat a lot anyways, Jason will be starving, and Kage- he can deal with it.' I thought to myself as I dragged the deer back home. I saw in my creature form again, so it was fairly easy. I walked in to see Jason taking a drink. It was good that he finally had the strength to wake up and move around. "Hey. Look who's up. Took long enough." I kidded Jason as I put some of the deer over a fire. I was going to cook some and have some uncooked.

! Wow, I think I just woke back up! I must have fallen asleep without noticing when I entered my zoned out mood. I looked down towards the bed and saw no one! 'What happened?' I thought to myself before I turned around to see Jason taking a drink and Takai-ato cooking some meat. I realized that all my wounds had healed. I guess all I needed was a good sleep to let my body heal. I jumped onto my feet and ran towards Jason before saying, "How are you? You shouldn't be standing jet. I'm sorry it's all my fault."

[Ningai]

As I was having my drink, I heard a familiar voice. Takai-ato just came back from his hunt. "Only 3?" I kidded to him as I finished my drink. Kage was still all worried and now rambling on about how it was all his fault. I had to say something, "Hey Kage, If it was all your fault then why was I the one to tell you to leave? Why was I the one who wanted to take them all on myself? And why was I the one who attracted the attention by killing so many?" I figured that would shut him up for awhile. I turned my attention back onto Takai-ato. "So Takai," I said a few moments after, "why are you living here? What is it that you're after?" It was odd to find Takai-ato in such an evil dark area.


I heard some rambling coming from the other creature after Jason's sly comment. The little bugger was beginning to get on my nerves. After Jason got Kage to shut up, I directed my attention on Jason's question. "Why?" I questioned, "There is a passage. It is said to lead to a place of hero's and those hero's hold the key to to the next passage." I knew that he would understand the particulars so I simply gave him the big picture. "The goal is to find the Soul gate keeper." That was enough said for now. There was one thing on my mind though, "So who is Jason?" I asked.

I was puzzled at what Jason had said. Perhaps he was right and it wasn't my fault. A few seconds later I started to pay attention to what the others were talking about- Wait! Takai-ato was TALKING!!! Without thinking I blurted out, "Hey I thought you couldn't talk!" And again after hearing what Takai-ato just asked Jason I said, "Wait so your name isn't Jason? Who are you?" Sure I had to ask who he really was but I'm not sure if I really want to know.

[Ningai]

Before I could answer Takai, Kage blurted out questions towards us. I ignored the one directed at me. I really didn't wasn't to get into it with him right now. Instead I whispered over to Takai, "As if you don't remember." Takai already knew why I was using the name Jason but I didn't care to share it with Kage.

After questioning Jason about the name, I heard what Kage was wondering.  Jason whispered to me his comment and I gave him a little grin with a little inside laughter. Unlike Jason, I answer Kage's question/statement with, "You only assumed I couldn't or didn't speak and I let you assume that. Just because I didn't didn't mean that I couldn't. I imply didn't want to." It was a bit of a confusing answer but it made sense.

I quickly shut upafter Takai-ato answered me. He was right. It was only a romor that he couldn't talk. No one knew it for sure, and I didn't even ask. "So what now?" I commented. There wasn't much to do now. I realy didn't have any other buisness with either Jason or Takai-ato. I waitted to see what they were going to do.

We all sat around and looked at each other. No one knew what was to come next. This was still where Kage lived and Takai-ato still had business to attend to. "I guess I should go and find what I was looking for. I'll see you some time soon. Thanks for the help, though I didn't need it." I kidded as I left Takai's home. I went on my way.

"Well I have some business of my own to attend to as well." I said as I went towards my collection of notes. I looked back at Kage and told him, "If you ever need some help or just some company, don't be afraid to come visit." I went back to my work.
