[Remedy]

Zal felt foolish for not being more careful.  He supposed she shouldn't have drank it, but she was so thirsty.  And the water was delicious.  "Sorry... I guess you're right...  Still, it tastes fresh." she said.  It did, to her surprise.  She would've expected it to taste a bit like that goo, but nope.  
Zal was expecting to get sick from drinking the water, but she actually felt refreshed.

Shanks wasn't so sure. It could taste good, but still be bad to ingest. He wasn't going to drink any, he'd rather wait till he got back to the pen.
"I'm not going to drink any." He said, walking around it.
He looked down the path, it looked like how all the paths had look so far. Everything just went on, how much farther was this going to go?

[Remedy]

Zal shrugged.  "Suit yourself." she said, following behind him.  She looked over her shoulder to where they had come, wondering if she could find her way back.  Zal hadn't thought of that, but decided to just play it out as things went along.  She hoped she wouldn't get sick from the water, and once again scolded herself under her breath for drinking it.

Shanks looked down at her, raising an eyebrow. He wondered what she was thinking. He shrugged, it must have been nothing. He started down the path, walking slowly. He was starting to get really tired of being in these tunnels. He sighed, he had thought he would only be here for a short while. But it had turned out to be longer than that.

[Remedy]

Zal continued along, just as bored as Shanks.  She liked the dark, yes, but it only made it take longer for her eyes to adjust to the light.  The minutes dragged by, and she wondered how long they've been down here.  She hadn't been keeping track of time, and there was no way to, but she knew it must've been a while.

Shanks sighed, was this how the whole thing was going to go? He needed something to keep him going. He looked around, the only thing he saw was rock, rock, and more rock. He sighed again, this was such a stupid idea.
"I don't think we're ever going to find any Akail." He said.
Wanting to start a conversation. At least that would keep him from being bored.,

[Remedy]

"Me neither.  Still, it's worth a shot." Zal said.  It was beginning to get a little dull, and she hoped something new would pop up.  And then it did.  They reached an opening in the tunnel tha led to a huge room which split into what seemed to be at least twenty more tunnels.  "WoW." Zal said.  She didn't know which way to go though, so she did what she normally did and smelled in each direction- but they all smelled the same.  "Hm... I don't know which way to go." she said to Shanks, hoping he would have an idea.

Shanks crossed his arms, thinking to his self. Their were so many choices, and to Zal, they all smelt the same? How could he just choose one? They all could lead the wrong way, they all could be a waste of time.
"Hm, this is a pickle." He said. (no pun intended XD )
He tapped his chin with one of his blades. It would be a difficult choice.
"If they all smell the same, then perhaps they all lead to the same place?" He suggested.

[Remedy]

Zal looked surprised.  "I hadn't thought of that.  Maybe so. Here, let's just take this one.  Then we'll backtrack and find another to see if it's the same."  She started down a random tunnel, a very unusual thing to do, and was curious to find the end.  This new spark to the adventure made things exciting, which is just what she needed.

Shanks followed after her, hoping that his suggestion was correct. He would hate to keep coming up to dead ends. Plus having to check each of them, that would take forever.
"What if we don't find any path?" He asked, just throwing out questions.
If they had to back track all the way to where they first met, he would no doubt give up. His attention span was much to short for that.

[Remedy]

"Oh, we won't have to backtrack far.  Just backto the room that smells the same.  Once we come to the end of this, we'll head backwards to that room and try a different placeto see if it's the same." Zal said.  She was still curious to meet the end of this path, even if it turned out to be a dead end.

Shanks sighed lightly.
"I just hope we don't have to do it that much." He said. "I don't got enough energy to do it."
He didn't mean he was tired, but that he would become bored if they just kept checking one tunnel after another.

[Remedy]

"Just let me know when you wanna stop and head in a different direction." When she finally reached the end, Zal saw that it was much like the other room with multiple tunnels.  Almost exacly alike...  "Did we go in a circle?" she asked, soundin surprised.  She began to eish she had left some sort of marking indicating which tunnel they went through.  Then her heart skipped a beat and she lost her breath.  I didn't mark the place we came through to get to he room.  I didn't mark the entrance.. Would she be able to find her way out?  This cold be bad... she thought to herself.  It probably still had it's own smell though, and that might be enough to help her find the way back.

Shanks walked past her, stopping at an entrance to one of the tunnels. He slashed the inner wall with his bladed hand.
"There, now lets go down this path, if we come to this room again, we should look for this mark." He said, not wanting to stop.
He had already started down the path, not even waiting for her. It seemed his good side was fading, fast. He knew he had to leave soon, or risk attacking her again. Why was he so worried about harming her? He didn't understand.

[Remedy]

"Okay," Zal said, following him through another path.  She didn't follow far too close behind him, though. She could tell he was in a bad mood,   so she decided it would be best to give him some space.
  As they winded through the tunnel, she noticed the ground getting smoother.  It was probably nothing, though it still intrigued her.  Then again, her natural curiosity made everything intrigue her.  After all, even though she was considered very old for her age, Zal was still a 'child'.  Most people wouldn't expect so, though.  If she were a human she would probably take on the form of a fourteen-year-old.  So not exactly a child, but certainly a teen.
