Kieran was fascinated by the caves. He wanted to learn about them, to be the first to map their vast expanses... He wanted to run amok in their depths, scattering Morloths with his arms and scanning the walls for runes with his night vision goggles. He loved the mystique of it all, and the risks that came with going where no strange soul had ever gone before.
He wanted to have his name spoken aloud, written in text books and kept alive even after he had passed on. And as far as Kieran was aware, not even the natives were fully aware of what lurked within the caves. This was the perfect opportunity for him to become known!

One thing he had failed to think of was his chance of death. If he died down there, who would mark the world's loss? How long would it take for the search parties to come? Would they ever come for just another teenager? They might go so far as to assume that he was a suicide or a runaway.

A familiar rhythm tapped in the back of his mind as he reached for the phone in his pocket with one spidery hand. He smoothed his goggles back over his red hair with his other. Who to call, who to call...
It couldn't very well be Mira; he didn't want to deprive the world of the only surviving members of the most amazing family the world had ever known, hahah. Dante would suffice, though. She was hot, but she could also pull her weight.
