((This is mainly a training thread, however, it also deals somewhat in some character development~ So, posts here will be mostly cruddy. Read at your own risk. x]))

"Get out of my home!" A ferocious roar echoed through the walls of the caverns, the sound of claws tearing across rock echoing within. Piercing white eyes gleamed in the darkness. There was a wild and unsettling look in the eyes. Nostrils flared as wild eyes darted around the darkness, searching. But, there was no one there. Doragon was completely alone.

Doragon's chest heaved as he stared wildly into the darkness. He knew there was nothing there, but his eyes continued to search. As the remnants of his roar disappeared into the cavern, silence remained, and Doragon was left alone again. He snorted, stepping back slightly in the darkness. Quietly, he mumbled nothings under his breath, no one able to understand what he was saying. Turning swiftly, looking around constantly. Almost paranoid.

The Tundragoon slipped away into the darkness, weaving his way between boulders, his head snapping one way or another at each and every sound... Even if it was made by his own padding feet. "Who's there!?" Again, the only answer was his resounding voice, repeating his very question. Doragon growled, frustrated. "Leave me... Be silent... For just one day! Be silent!!" As his voice rose, so did the sound of his echoes. Doragon looked around madly at the echoing voices, and let out an angry roar, hoping to silence them all.

The roar echoed louder than his voices, drowning them out as the roar echoed over the walls. Doragon let out a frustrated growl, wheeling around on his hind legs and taking to a run through the dark caverns. "Leave me alone," he snapped sharply, whisking his way between rocks and boulders to the only place that he truly knew. The only place left that he could call home. His cave within the caverns.

The dragon weaved his way to the entrance of the shallow cave he'd made his home deep within the caverns. No one could find him here. No one had ever found him here. The only sane part of his mind left told him to stay away from others. It was all Doragon had left. He stopped at the mouth of the shallow cave - more like a natural hole dug out within the wall - glancing around nervously. He searched for any sign of anyone being around. No one was there. No one. The brute snorted, stepping into his cave, mumbling under his breath what sounded as nonsense. "My son... Gone. Gone like her. Forever... Ever. Never will I... Never. Gone...

Mumbling to himself, Doragon slinked to the back of his cave. He circled once before lowering himself to the cold, rock earth. His bright, white eyes gleamed in the darkness as he stared out. The only sound to be heard was his own incoherent mumbling. Dust had welled up from his movement, causing it to tickle his nose. The beast snorted loudly, the sound echoing through the caverns. Immediately, the dragon leaped to his feat, looking wildly out at the sound. "Leave me alone!" The mad beast yelled out angrily, claws scraping threateningly against the stone earth.

Again, his voice resounded off the walls, echoing louder than his own voice could yell. Doragon let out a frustrated growl, shaking his head wildly to try to get rid of the voices. "Why must you torture me!?" He moaned as he dropped his head to the floor, throwing his forepaws over his head, trying to muffle out the shattering voices. "It's not my fault! Doragon protested against nothing, as if some unforeseen judge was standing before him, pointing out his guilt. "I tried my best! I tried! I tried..."

The dragon's body slowly melted to the floor. He began to weep, sobbing quietly to himself. The weight of his misfortunes tortured his body, and even worse, his mind. Weeping quietly, Doragon was flooded with the thoughts of his loved ones whom he'd lost. So much so, he began to feel their presence. Doragon looked up slowly, as if he had been spoken to softly. Staring surprised out at nothing, he said, "My... my Dear? Is that... really you, my Dear?"

As if he had been given a new life, Doragon pushed himself up, a smile upon his features. "Of course it's you! How could I think you were anyone else!" He spoke with a joyous laughter, but there was no one there. Something at the back of his mind - that one sane part of him - told him that there was no one there; that he was talking to no one, but Doragon continued his conversation, unable to stop himself. "You look so wonderful, Dear! I have missed you so! Come in, come in! Please!"

Like an excited child, Doragon bounded into his cave-like home, spinning around as if to meet someone coming within. Again, the gnawing feeling that no one was there was triggered, but again, Doragon did not face the reality. "Here, Dear, come lay down. Right here, yes, he said as he appeared to make room for someone. "There you are. You must be tired after making your way all the way down here to visit me, hm? Oh, I'm just so happy to see you!" His excited voice could not be contained. Quickly, Doragon settled himself as if preparing to speak a conversation with this "no one" before him.

Doragon looked with false happiness at the vision that was not there. He appeared to be beaming as he stared into nothingness, visioning his long lost mate with him. "So, my dear, how are you? Well, I do hope?" There was general concern in his voice, but it was on the edge of maddening, clearly indicating his mind being off. "Ah! And, my boy! My boy, yes! How is he? Strapping like his father, right?" He said excitedly, thinking of his little boy as a young juvenile now. "Well don't sit there hushed, talk to me dear!" He continued, still excited, waiting for an answer.

Doragon's features fell slightly at the silence. The gnawing reminder that he was alone continued to try to push it's way to the surface of his conscious, but Doragon refused to let it. "Come now, my dear. Surely, you must be excited to see me, yes?" The beast chuckled as if he'd been replied to. "Yes, yes, that's what I thought, my love... I have missed you, too. So very dearly, I have," he continued, mindlessly swishing his tail. "So, where's my boy, hm? He must be a nice young fella now! Come on, come on! Let's see him!" Doragon looked about, calling to his boy, "Koori! Come here, boy! Lemme see ya!"

As if he had seen someone come forward, Doragon's face lit up, beaming with pride. The brute stood up as if to greet someone. "My boy! Koori! Look at you! All grown up! Haha!" Doragon chuckled heartily, looking up and down at the image his mind was projecting onto the world. Fact and fiction began to blur. "Dad! I sure am all grown up! Aren't you proud of me, dad?" "Proud! I sure am, boy! Look at you!" The lone Tundragoon continued to talk to his imagination, now seemingly oblivious to his minds' problems. "Really?! Thanks, dad!"

Doragon laughed, his voice echoing through the silent caverns, but, this time, the beast did not hear them. He had slipped to deep into his madness to notice the silence anymore. He was in his own world, with his family. "So, my boy, have you taken good care of your mother, here? You'd better have!" He finished with laughter, enjoying his playful jabs. "Of course, dad. You know I'd always take care of momma. I love her!" The warm, soft, familiar chuckle of Doragon's lost mate replayed within his mind, softening his gaze as he dwelled in the soft chuckle. "Ah, yes... We do love her. So much. She's an angel... A beautiful, flawless angel..." A moment of silence passed, and the warm glow of his madness radiated, filling him with joy. He was with his family, finally.

As he stood there in the silence, wrapped in the warmth of his madness, Doragon began to feel his family fading. His mind was coming back to reality, against everything he wanted. "Dear? Why must you look at me so? Don't look at me like that..." The brute stood up quickly, staring off into the darkness. "No... No! Don't!" Doragon's voice shrieked through the caverns as he lunged forward as if to grab someone... Someone who was not there. "You must rest, dear... You're not well." His mind played on his emotions and memories, reminding him cruelly of his illness by speaking in his mate's voice. "No!" Doragon madly shook his head, roaring angrily. "I... I'm fine! I just... I need you!!!"
