There were only a number of ways to survive in a large place like this.One being supreme dominance.
Renduu was hunting for this, and alot of it, bringing into every battle his vengeance.

The only thing he had wanted was a friend so he didn't get lonely,but others around him had failed to return the same kindness.He had to face the truth.He had "left his heart out in the open"for way too long and was ready to close it.Only,he never gave up on finding a friend.That was the only reason it stayed open.
He never gave up.He never did...

Renduu lept from the top of the rock. He sniffed out the scent of animals that had dwelled before him, and he drew back his nose.

He had decided to give up his dominance streak to continue his longing search for a travel partner, a friend.His mate had decided to depart, leaving him to independently handle his problems and promise to meet up again one day.And his family?Screw them. He was abandoned by them too.

He gave one last sniff to the the crystallic rocks and headed deeper into the cave, stopping here and there at small sounds. He cocked his head this way and that.Would someone ever find there heart sane enough to lay down their titles and become friends?

Walking through the caverns, the cool breeze caught his nose.He sniffed, and then sneezed.His throat burned and his head spun.Why is this happening to me?He cocked his head again, unable to answer his own question.Walking along, he darted down the cavern hoping this unusual feeling would leave, but it didn't. They grew even worse, and his throat now seemed to pulse with pain.Why did th- His thoughts stopped as he remembered his horrible allergy to termites. His fear flared even more when he saw the small mounds of moving dirt around his feet.I'll die!I'll surely die!I'll DIE! Renduu turned and ran.Maybe he'd have more luck hunting elsewhere in Craiss.

Finally, the burning and aches turned their attention away from him and to some other coughing creature. He panted as he halted to a stop at the entrance of a familiar cavern. His ears perked, and he traveled down the long expanse.At least there are no termites, he thought as he gulped in the air.

He searched under rocks and behind them, examined the ceiling with it's stalacites and stalagmites, and splashed into deep pools of water. He was wading deeper and deeper until his growling stomach reminded him that he had to eat before continuing. Huhhh... he was deciding on whether or not he should follow his instincts.After all, they had gotten him into much trouble before.Well... he thought as he stared at a fairly sized fish.Guess I could stop quickly.

After his small snack, he continued down the expanse, looking behind rocks some more and looking into cracks.

[Utterly.]

He sighed and sat down.No one was lurking in these caves. He then reluctantly jerked himself up and traveled farther. He walked through the dark his light shining.But the  confidence on his face turned to a nasty frown as he spotted a wide crevass in front of him.

"Whew.Good thing I stop to look around for this second," he said to himself. His eyes popped open as the feeling of energy came back to him. "I love talking! I should do it more often... more energy for me." He chuckled and focused on different ways to get across. Well he could:A) Try jumping and get torn to bits B) Cling to the walls and try climbing C) Turn around and try somewhere else,or D) Shadow Transport. His head tilted sideways as he considered everything.Definitely D, he thought. There seemed to be enough darkness for him to use the shadows. Well here goes nothin'.IcandoitIcandoitIcandoit!

A shadow shifted lazily across the wall. The shadow stopped on the other ledge and looked at its owner. Soon, he faded into a shadow,and the shadow itself turned into him.

"Quick and easy." Renduu  said aloud, talking to no one in particular.His constant talking to himself seemed to enlighten him a little, and he hoped any other creature who was listening quietly would be brave enough to talk.He hoped.

"Ya' know, living in these caverns for practically your whole life isn't too bad. Leaving would mean leaving your rank,ya'know,"he took a pause,"but sometimes I have the crazy notion that I want to visit elsewhere".He rambled on as if talking to a counselor,"maybe when I get a new travel partner." A half smile appeared on his face as he continued traveling down the cave.

[Utterly.]

Renduu traveled on, looking at small groups of crystals here and there. He found himself interested in a small bug, but still he traveled on. Hmmm...no somebodies? Not even challengers?He thought as he gave a nervous glance around the cavern he was in. It definitely wasn't normal to find an empty cavern.Renduu swung his head to the side. Could something be wrong?

[Utterly.]

He walked even more cautiously as he traversed deeper into the cave. A look was shot here and there, know seeming more sinister than ever. Even the pretty groups of ice crystals ceased to be inviting."Ya' know.... maybe taking a break from this cave in a little while would be fascinating," he chattered. And he was speaking truth to himself, at least he hoped. It was as if his home wanted him away, and it was doing so by scaring him.

He looked at every feature he past disdainfully.

[Utterly.]

Renduu jumped this way and that at weird patterns of light and hovered with a dominant air over shadows. He knew he could easily bend shadows to do his biding."In fact," he blurted aloud,"I should'v turned the shadows back there into a bridge.: Another half smile appeared on his face as he said," well.... it probably wouldn't hold my weight."

The quiet still bothered him. Never had a veil of silence been that strong. He was on edge,eying every little stone for movement. He scrutinized ever stone, until a swift small movement appeared behind one of the larger rocks. A growl issued from his throat. Could it be a small temporary travel buddy? Well,Renduu thought with determination, there's only one way to find out.

It seemed this part of the caverns (possibly luckily for Renduu) was devoid of any wildlife. A few glittering eyes had watched the Bruma as he had entered. However, once he had shown impressive powers, the creatures had vanished, not wanting to tangle with such a dangerous animal. The creatures close to the entrance were usually weak, cowardly and since food was more readily available, were not willing to risk anything.
Perhaps deeper still, Renduu might find a creature who would not be afraid of such a display. Creatures of the deep tended to be slightly more ruthless, wily and cunning and the possibility of food in a place where it was so scarce.

The sound soon vanished, and a few glittering eyes had watched him. Well,Renduu thought, I better get a going.He headed a little deeper and disregarded the small noises around him. Looking around, he flicked his ears happily.It was noisy again.

[Utterly.]

Now he was walking deeper into the cave,which seemed and endless black hole.Where's the end?Is it magical? He looked around and muttered something under his breath,which was apparently a  protection spell,for his Red Ammonite glowed brightly and formed a protective layer of air around him.Good thing too, because soon afterwards the rock that his head would've collided with shattered against his shield.Whoo, lucky me,he thought with an exasperated expression.

[Utterly.]

Renduu skittered onwards,just a bit frightened by his collision.Toughen up, he screamed silently at himself,it was just as small rock!Besides,you had your shield...worst coulld've happened...Kearia.... His mind drifted off as he thought of his mate.Too bad,He thought resentfully.Why had he left her?

Now he had two task in mind.To find Kearia and traverse the cave to find a new bud. I won't fail.

Renduu sat down for a small rest by a rock.He slept for a long time, which was unusual,for he had learned how to limit his sleep.Whew,this cave sure has an effect.He rolled over on his back and fell deeper into sleep.

A whole group of creatures.They were all ones he had met up with before."Will you be my friend?" The Diosol shook its head at his request.It turned its back and shot into flames.He ran from it.
"Will you be my friend?"The Snicky gave an unusual smile as it slugged its head across the ground.Suddenly,it turned its back and burst into flames.
"Will...."He never finished his sentence."Nuuuuu..." the strange,three-eyed creature droned out. It stood up sluggishly and transformed before his eyes.It began a chorus of maniacal laughter,followed by unusual echoes.
He was on a path.An unusual,fiery path that burned his feet.It licked with flames as shapes of Evelon creatures jumped out of to screamed at him.
You'll never find a...Give up you...Not in a million...Renduu?...I'll NEVER...GO somewhere!...MY territory....I don't NEED...BeyOND,your border....GO SOMEWHERE.....I'LL NEVER....RENDUUU!...GIVE UP YOU...

They screamed louder.

The world was dark.

A voice broke his dream.

Renduu awoke with a start.He was scanning his surroundings as he noticed that the voice that was calling him in his dreams melted to a cute growl,and that the fire was actually a fuzzy,warm vibration tickling his toes.He gave off a giggle. What in the-! A small velix had latched onto his big claw with small,sharp teeth and was brushing against him."Heh,weird little guy." Renduu shook his foot ever so softly and stood.

"Virel....101110101.Threat 9221." The velix babbled on, droning out long codes.

"Please go.You're annoying me."
"50012 Aim..."
"I'm serious."
"60012,steady..."
"I'm leaving now."
Renduu turned quickly on his heals when a sudden blast of electricity hit him flat square in  the buttocks. Aaaaerrrh... he turned just as quickly as he had before and roared.The velix gave a wince and finally spoke some sense."Heh, I don't know where I get all that stuff.I'm part-time info-thief.Wha' bout you big guy?" The creatures eyes narrowed to thin slits.He scowled as if he were concerned about something.If he does something,I'll do the same.He narrowed his eyes to match that of the velix."I'm looking for a travel mate, a whole group of them in fact."With a yawn, he plopped onto the dusty rocks and held a high posture.
"Hmmm... I'd be willing to travel with you." Sparks of biting electricity flew from the velix's mouth."If'ou accept, my name's Virelitops."The velix chuckled."Or you can call me by my fame name,Catastrophic Virus."

With a look of dissaproval, Renduu scrutinized this "Virelitops".Gee, I dunno if I want to travel with an info thief,a Catastrophic Virus.There went that signature head tilt of his as he let his mind wander.The velix must have noticed.
"Impressive,eh?I'm far out of my bounds,anyways.I live in the swamp."Virelitops gave off a shimmer of pride and a smile filled with darkness."And I was kidding about the name.Don't call me that.Only people I 've screwed call me that.I'm Velimus to you.Shake on the travel partner thing?"
There was a silent pause.They looked each other in the eye. Really,Renduu... you sure...
He stretched his paw to the velix's claw.
"Deal."
