Jemma looked at the beast skeptically, "How am I supposed to trust your 'pride' and so called 'standards' when I don't even know your name?" Maybe she shouldn't have thrown such disrespect into her tone but, what's the worst thing that could happen? She could get eaten? Well there was still like a 80% chance of happening anyway.

The beast took a deep, calming breath and counted to ten in his head. He even reminded himself that he had wanted this. He wanted to be entertained and well, she was not boring so far. "The name is Chike."

"Chike? Really?"

"Yes. Really. That is my name, do you have an issue with it?" Jemma's insides were screaming at her to shut up, so she kindly did.

"Not at all, just wanted to make sure I could pronounce it. I'm Jemma."
