Deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale. Deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.

Alpha sat cross legged on the floor of the cave, eyes closed and took steady deep breathes to find her center. She could feel the darkness of the past pressing in on her from all around. Wayward spirits poking and prodding at her to try to capture her attention, but she steadily ignored them. She wasn't here to free them from their past sins, she had her own matters to attend to.

Deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale. Deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.

There. She could feel herself in tune with the living force now. Her sense grew until she was aware of every thing around her, each stone, every scrap of lichen. She pushed her awareness outward and down the tunnels searching every nook and cranny she came across trying to find what it was she was seeking. She could see it all in her mind's eye. The absence of light did not stop as through the force she could see as clear as day.
