He knew they figured he was a coward, but Anye wouldn't let him leave even if he tried. She'd stay right here, go deeper in, or just ditch him completely. He sighed and made the first step to the edge of the precipice they were standing on, and looked down. "Looks like we can glide most of the way down. I'd rather find out if flight is an option now, rather than waiting til we're in trouble and learning we can't." He looked up at Anye, "Mind returning Ares to Galatea? He can come right back once we meet at the bottom."
