Lloyd's eyes widened and Usake blinked as he looked at Wyra.  You... you actually turned yourself into a Panzer...? he asked in shock as he looked from his sister to the Panzer.  Lloyd blinked as he slowly moved closer to Alana.  "Dearest... I think we had better go back to the library." He said quietly.

Usake's eyes were filling with tears as he stared accusingly at Wyra.  Why?  Why did you do that to yourself?  Why did you put yourself through that pain?  Why make Ryen and Eöwyra suffer for you?  And what of your sons, Weirfir and Firner?  What do they have to show for this? he asked, his voice breaking slowly.

Alana nodded slowly as she said, "Yeah... it would be best not to stick around here with her in the mood that she will be in in a few moments." She slowly moved away from the table as the floor around Wyra began to freeze.

"Why did I do this?  Why?  I did this because Mother didn't care, and because Ryen tried to make me see that our kits will leave our lives every now and again.  But he had two other kits without Kanak; I had none without Aditi!  Weirfir and Firner can never fill the empty spot in my heart that Aditi had.  They never can!" Wyra said angrily.

Once Alana was outside, she stood by the carriage, waiting eagerly for Lloyd to follow after her.  If he got caught in the insanity that was Wyra and Usake's impending fight, then she would never forgive herself.

Lloyd wasn't just walking, he was running as he reached Alana.  Before she could protest any, he picked her up by the waist, jumped into the carriage, and then, set her down gently beside him.  "Sorry... I wanted to get out of there as quickly as I could," Lloyd said, apologizing to Alana for the sudden and unexpected behavior he had just shown.

As the carriage drove on, Lloyd slid his arm around Alana's waist.  "So... Usake is your brother... what relation is Wyra to you?  Family friend?" he asked.  He hoped that she wasn't a family friend; if Wyra was, then he needed to lock up the library as best he could now.

"I suppose one could call her that, yes," Alana said quietly, resting her head on his shoulder.  "But, really, all I call Wyra is psychotic.  Honestly--the woman has a few issues.  I think being Panzer-ized had something to do with it." She added, giving a sigh of relief as she closed her eyes slightly.  After another moment or two, she spoke again.

"However, she never got along with me.  You wouldn't need to worry about getting caught up in the madness that she brings to the table.  If you worry about anything, worry about coming to this restaurant again for about the next month.  By then, Wyra will have forgotten this rage of hers and things will be back to normal.  Or so I hope..."

"Or so you... hope?"

Lloyd said this with a hint of hesitance, like he didn't quite believe Alana when she said this.  However, all that mattered to him now was that they were safe, and they were back at the library, where they would be safe for as long as the Panzer did not track them here.  He opened the door and held out his hand for Alana to take, looking at her with concern.

"Are you all right, Alana?  You didn't get hurt in that little spat of that Panzer's, did you?"

His voice was definitely concerned as he asked this; if Alana were to be hurt, he'd never forgive himself for it.

Alana gingerly took his hand and bit her lip, trying to hide her concern about the whole attack--and something a little more disconcerting.  Being careful about how she went about speaking now, she cleared her throat and nodded slowly.

"Yes... I'm fine.  No injuries whatsoever."

Even as she said this, she could feel the faint trickle of blood coming from her side; however, you could not tell that it was there from the outside looking in, for the shawl that she had was as red as blood.  She offered a small smile as she stepped down from the carriage, her emerald eyes bright as she slowly walked towards the door, trying not to show any signs of injury.

"I am a little tired, though; so I will be retiring for the night."

She said his as calmly as she could, trying to keep a decently happy look on her face as she gave Lloyd a little kiss on the cheek.
