"Huh!  What is it?"  Arya took a few moments to register what Icewing was saying.  But of course, she reacted.  Getting up, another howl pierced the silence, and Arya began to worry.  Something was wrong with that cry.  It sound like Kyune, but as if something was wrong with him.  "Get Veloc.  He'll know what to do, as for myself, I think that I have enough defense to see if I can help Kyune at all."

[Draco]

Veloc woke with a start. Oh, it was that time again. "Nothing to worry about. He would have shed his powers and left them as a shield. This keeps the demons from getting at us, as well as keeping them from the powers themselves." He sighed before beginning to explain what time.

"Every year, around the time of a full moon, Kyune goes through six nights of transformation. Each one worst that the last. This is no curse, but it is indeed caused by one. He does this to keep his demons at bay. He figures if he lets them do what they want six nights out of the year, then he will have full control the rest of the time. Thus far it has worked. It would not be wise to leave the shield, but if you must, now would be the night to do it. Tomorrow it may be possible as well, but past that he will be far too dangerous. If you even think of leaving the shield on the sixth night, I will personally knock you out for your own safety. If you want a good look, he will no doubt come to the shield each night. Even I still fear his sixth form." He explained.

"That said, let's get some sleep."

"Veloc.  When you leave for the mountains, if you do at all, have Kyune contact me somehow, for I must go.  There are a few things I must do, and I trust that you can keep everything under control?"  Arya had to go, and hoped that it would be to much of an inconvenience to the group.  But even if it was, she was still going to have to leave.  The situation needed to be dealt with as soon as possible, and Arya had some things of her own to do before she would return.  "I must go now, and just remember this one thing.  When I return, I won't be the same. "  And with that last thought, Arya left.

fine wth me but if you ask me im going to stay in my ice shelter for the rest of the time until Kyune is done. he then flew quickly to his litttle dom,e and flew inside. he then closed it up and then all you heard was a wimpering noise coming from the inside. He was not going to sleep well he thought.

[Draco]

"If you must. Just... make sure to be out of the forest before night falls again. Kyune won't recognize you, and reasoning won't work. If you face hi, don't fight. Any injury caused will hold over to his normal state. That is, if you can hit him before he kills you... Well, anyways, what you SHOULD do if you face him is to try and not be noticed. When that fails, make yourself look deadly. When that fails, see if you can't knock him out without too much mental damage. His feral state has a weak mind." He said. "But don't run. He WILL catch you."

[Firetra]

icewing saw Arya's shadow move out of the clearing and dissapear. Well it looks like its just you and me Veloc old pal.he then imeadiatly started to snore

Late in the night...

Kyune prowled through the forest, blood dripping from his jaws. He heard the scolding of a squirrel, and shot it a deathly look. It fell silent and dropped from the trees, dead. Dead of fear. He prowled along, he could smell two powerful groups. One contained Veloc and Icewing, the other was just Arya. Who was behind the shield? Now he sniffed for the barrier, knowing it's peculiar, subtle scent. He sniffed for a shield around Veloc and Icewing first, and found it there. He didn't even bother to look for one around Arya, and was soon running her way.

He intercepted her near the edge of the forest, and leaped, howling with his jaws agape. He realized too late that a fragment of the shield had followed her. The second he got within ten feet of her, he was hit with the full force of Kyune's, the real Kyune's, powers. They slammed into him, and he flew back through the trees. The landing didn't hurt, he felt no pain. His bones mended themselves, snapping together again like a jigsaw puzzle. Soon he was on the prowl again. This time he head for Icewing And Veloc. He couldn't harm them, their shield was at least as powerful as Arya's. But he had something to say.

He reached their shield to find both dozing. He howled and they snapped awake. "Let me in." He said. "Let me in, so I can have my power. Let me in, and I will spare you on the sixth night."

He saw the shocked look on Veloc's face and laughed.

"I have been growing more powerful. Kyune, the old fool, hasn't realized it. On the sixth night, I will be able to rip that shield to shreds. If you let me in, I won't kill you." The shadows that surrounded him flared up, and even within the shield Veloc could feel the dread, feel the death.

Veloc shook his head. "Demon, I sense your power, but I will not let you in. If you got his powers..."

Kyune's shadows flared up again. "I can still kill you from here!" He roared, and then the shadows crept in. Veloc tried to leap back, but they caught hold of his leg. They pinned him there, and began to envelope his body. He felt it creep up, bringing with it iminent death.

All went black.

He awoke again in the morning, surprised to be alive. The shield must have reached out and sent him on his way. He was shaken and deathly pale when he rose. When did he grow so powerful? He now had no doubt that he would be able to break the shield on the sixth night... maybe even the fifth. It didn't take him long to figure it out. It was caused by the recent death of the Oni King. When one great evil leaves the world, another either enters or rises in power.

It was day when Icewing woke up, he dint hear the comotion last night so he woke up with a start when he came out and saw that Veloc was paniced. He went over to him and said Hey whats wrong? you look like you've seen a ghost!

"Shut, up, you know what Nyxia said to do.  She has Arya's memories, and this is where she said she was needed at the time.  Something about a Fellox going crazy."  This is was getting really annoying, have to tell Gymsei what to do and how to do it.  What was he, her baby-sitter?  'Cause that wasn't what he signed up for.  He was a Tundragoon for pete's sake, and he was being foollowed around by some tiny Preluhna.  "Well, I don't care, I still want to know, and since I'm stuck with you, I have to get answers from you, get it?" she replied back annoyingly.  Suddenly, Gymsei spotted something in the corner of her eye.  It seemed like a camp, and it looked like people were also in it.  Wait, a Kodile!  That's what was supposed to be one of Arya's friends!  "Sleet!  Over here, it's the camp!  I'm sure of it."  Rolling his eyes, Sleet supposed that it couldn't hurt to check it out, and the duo headed over toward it.  "Hello there?  Icewing?"  That was supposed to be the name of the Kodile, and the other ones, Veloc and Kyune, were somewhere to if this was the right place...  The name Veloc though sounded vaguely familiar, so Gymsei stored it in her mind for later.

"No, stop Gym.  Something's wrong.  I feel something, a powerful soul, but not in a good way.  We either need to get with them, or get away.  It's not safe here.  Hurry!"  His Life-Sense trait was going off like a siren in his head, telling him that something worse than death was around, and as much as he acted like his loathed the Kuhna beside him, she was a very close person to him.  "But, but what is it?  Is it that bad?" Gymsei said worriedly.  "I'm afraid it might be..."

(I'm back!  XD  Hope you don't mind my joining back now, but I love this RP, and for the sake of it, would you like for Gymsei and Veloc to be old friends?)

At the sound of voices, Veloc looked up. A Kuhna and Tundragoon were making their way towards them. He looked around warily. He could sense Kyune near by. He would tear them to shreads if they stayed out past thr sun. Which, as it happened, was sinking below the horizon.  The second night was on its way. He ran over to the edge of the field to face the two.
"Get over here!" He growled anxiously. The Kuhna looked familiar. The name Gymsei popped into his head.
He heard a deep-throated snarl originate from the trees. The beast would attack soon. This was ridiculous. He had seen part of the shield follow Arya. Maybe it would be best if they just left in the morning. Kyune would follow them, no doubt, but it would be better to be in a more open space.

"Get, there's something very close.  Those others look as if they both know something dangerous is around, but they don't seem to leave that camp.  I'd say that there is some type of charm around the place.  Something that not even a powerful beast such as the one lurking around the camp they're in can penetrate it."  "Oh for Zu'hai's sake!  Can we just go ahead and get in there, without any of your college lectures?  Save those for Medicai..." Gymsei said grouchily, and then stepped into the camp's perimeter.  Almost at once, she felt more at ease, not fully, but like the dangers were at bay for the time being.  "Hello, I'm-"  Looking back around, she spotted the human form gyraptor most likely, and then it struck her.  "Veloc?" she asked questioningly as Sleet entered the camp behind her.

[Draco]

Veloc smirked. He knew he had remembered her. His memory generally came through for him. "The one and only. Gymesei, right? Haven't seen you in a while. So, what do you happen to be doing here? Not a safe place to be in the least, especially not with a crazed super-fellox running around." He said, then frowned. "Now, normally I'd say you were safe now. And normally you would be. Inside this shield, all but the strongest beings are kept out. And even those wouldn't escape without some serious wounds. But, unfortunately, it seems something happened to the evil inside Kyune. It grew immensely stronger, and it becoming stronger still."
He kind of figured this all made sense to everyone, which it very obviously didn't, if only for the fact that these two most likely didn't know Kyune, or that he turns evil once a year around a full moon. He continued obliviously.
"So, I was thinking. A dangerous endeavor for me, yea, but I arrived at the conclusion that we should leave. In the morning. I think the shield will hold for a night." He finished.

[Elektra]

Looking at Sleet's confused look, Gymsei tried to to make a mental picture of that for later, since it wasn't often that he didn't know something, and even rarer that she did.  "I know, I was there with you a few years back when it happened.  But I thought you said that he was weak, and the shield was impenetrable?  How has that changed?"  Shifting into her human form, Gymsei looked around.  "Hey, what's up with that Kodile?  He a friend or something?"

[Draco]

"Yes, he is. Though, Kyune would disagree. Probably call him a parasite, or something." Said Veloc, keeping up his trade-marked (and patented) smirk.
"As for the reason, it is probably because we killed the Oni King. You know the laws. When one evil leaves, another has to arise. I guess the power just chose the nearest evil it could find... right inside of Kyune. Besides, the shield isn't as strong as it used to be." He continued, and then went on in a more hushed voice to Gymsei. "And not just because of the recent battle. Don't tell the others, but his power is dwindling. Has been ever since the King was killed. Almost as if, without a bane, the power sees no reason to stay. I give him a month before he is completely powerless. Another week before he's dead. Another reason to get out of here. I have reason to believe that, the farther away we get from this place, the better chance he'll fair. Especially in the mountains near Basantha Shrine. He has always been able to feed off the power there, and has an old friend that may be able to help."
He sighed and continued. "This, combined with the evil's increasing power, means that the shield will be broken tomorrow night. But getting killed should be the least of worries. Well, the most of ours, but not the most important. If he continues without help, especially if he kills us, the evil will grow stronger than the good. Eventually, it will overtake him... Permanently. After that, I don't think much of anything will be able to stop him."

Icewing finnaly heard the voices over his snoring and got out of his dome. He got out and looked around. There was Veloc a Preluhna,and a .......Tundragoon! It was a tundragoon! Maby he knew about his father!
He quickly rushed out and destroyed his home for the past few days.Hiwhoareyou. He said in a rushed voice. MynameisIcewingwhatisyoursdoyouknowaboutmydad? and apparently he could not stop rushing his voice.He then finnaly calmmed down and taslked normaly. Or whatever normaly is for the Kodile.
