Sky smiled. "Flying isn't hard to DO. It's just hard to get right...you have to get used to the air currents and figure out how to move your wings. I can only tell you so much." she smiled again, then heard Ice's last question. Is everything as hard as flying? Sky thought for a moment. How to explain this? Then she spoke. "Every flying creature has to learn to fly. Every hunting crature has to learn to hunt, every swimmer to swim...and so forth. All creatures must learn what they were born to do. It is in their blood. Yes, some are good at it, and others not so much. Yet the ones who have to work harder, usually end up more skilled. Like Mist. Natural learners, like Smoke, can be as good, but they still have to work hard." she said. Then realized that she never quite answered the question. "Because it is our natural...job...we have to work at it. There will be harder things. Yet there will also be easier things. Just have faith." Sky smiled, and watched the other two. Smoke was trying to catch Mist, but Mist just kept zipping out of the way.

"What?" Ice was not used to all this... wisdom? at once. Her brain was full. There was only one remedy to that... bouncing around! Her favorite pastime.
She started with the preliminaries. Find a good branch. That was the most important thing to do. Find a good branch. Otherwise you'd fall. She tested the one she was one. No, too much weight with her bouncing and Sky. The one Smoke and Mist were previously one? No, too close to them, she might get knocked off.
Finally, she found the perfect one. A thick, smooth branch near Sky. Now, the next step. Preparing your legs for the bouncing. She usually did that by going up and down, but this she'd practice flying while warming up her legs. Up and down and up and down.
Now, it was time!! She settled onto the branch, went up and down a few times, then started to bounce. Everywhere. On her branch, one Sky's branch, on the branch Mist and Smoke were on before. Everywhere. Finally, her mind was almost empty. Meaning she was done.

Sky watched as Ice bounced around. It reminded her of when she was young. She was quite entergetic then, and could never stop moving. She smiled, her eyes moving from Smoke and Mist to Ice, and back. Then she noticed Mist do a complicated manuver and turned to look. She trilled happily. He was finally starting to show his abilities.
Smoke watched as Mist spun up, somehow flip instantly, and dive down. He turned at a 90 degree angle above a branch without slowing, and shot towards her. She stared at him. She could never do that without crashing into the branch, or another one. She was so stunned, she couldn't move, and Mist hit her, knocking her off the branch. Comming to her senses, she opened her wings and flew to the closest branch. Wow. He did such a hard move and hit me with such accuracy. I...he's better than me. How can he be better than me? He can't! I'm a quick learner and a natural flyer, Sky said so! So how come he's better than me?! She shook her head in bewilderment, refusing to believe that Mist was possibly better than her.
Sky looked down in pity at Smoke. She wasn't taking it well. Mist landed next to her and looked up at his teacher happily. "Sky! Wasn't that cool? I didn't know I could do that!" he trilled, then noticed Ice. He smiled, watching her bounce around. "That looks cool!" he called, then turned back to Sky.

[Kestrel]

Out of the corner of her eye, Ice saw Mist do this odd... thing. He hit Smoke and knocked Mist off of the branch. How did Mist do that? It was... a complicated move.
"Can we go and see if the sound is still there, now?" she asked impatiently. Bouncing always made her impatient. It also always made her remember things from a little while ago, too. Like the strange sound.

Sky turned to Ice and smiled. "Yes, of course. I forgot all about it." Then she turned to Mist. "You can do alot of things that you didn't know you could do, now let's go." She looked down at Smoke sadly. She nudged Mist "Go ahead, I'll catch up."
Mist nodded, then flew ahead. He turned back to Ice. "Comming?" he asked.
Sky flew to Smoke and landed next to her. "Smoke? Are you okay?" Smoke looked up in surprise. She didn't notice Sky land. "Y-yeah...okay, no. How can Mist be better than me? I'm the one who is a natural! At least I think I am..." she trailed off. Sky smiled at her. "Yes, you are. But that doesn't mean you will always be better than Mist. He works hard to be as good as he is. If work hard at it, you will be as good as him...ocasionally better." Sky put her wing over Smoke, comforting her. Smoke sighed, then looked up. "They are going to check out the sound, are they not?" Sky nodded, and Smoke flew off the branch. "Then let's go!" she called back. Sky smiled and followed.

[Kestrel]

Ice cocked her head. Where was the sound? Why had it suddenly disappeared? All so strange...
"Yeah, I'm coming. Where'd the sound go? It disappeared when I was learning to fly..." Ice followed Smoke, landing every so often on a branch to rest. Mist and Sky soon caught up with them.
"What do you think made the sound? I think it was a wounded animal or something. I just hope it wasn't a, a, canivoe, or something. A meat-eater," What was that word again? For meat-eaters? Something like, carivoe? carivore? canivore? Something like that.

Mist stopped and cocked his head. He couldn't hear anything. Then again, he didn't hear it before, so he didn't know what he listening for. He turned to Sky, who had landed next to Ice. Sky smiled. "You mean a carnivore? Yes...it could be, but not all carnivores will eat us...so it could be safe. Anyway, you say the sound is gone? I was too far away to have heard anything..." she trailed off and looked at Mist, who shook his head. "Mist didn't hear anything." Sky frowned, and looked to Smoke, who was scanning the area. Smoke noticed and shook her head sadly. "Nothing here!" she called. Sky sighed and looked down at Ice. "We seem to have lost it." she said. All so strange.

[Kestrel]

Ice sighed. She really wanted to find out what made the sound... she headed in a random direction, hoping to catch the noise again. Another noise, a different one then the one she heard before, was reaching her ears.
"Guys! There's another noise here. It's different then the other one, but I think it's coming from the same direction!" she called.
She approached the noise slowly, hoping not to startle it. It was getting louder and louder. She parted a curtain of ivy and saw...

Mist flew forward, keeping as close as he could to Ice. She couldn't fly yet and Mist was scared she would get hurt. Not far behind came Smoke and Sky. "What is it? What do you see?" Smoke called, her mind reeling with possibilities. I hope for Ice's sake it isn't dangerous... Sky thought, worried. She watched Mist, willing him to protect Ice if need be.

OOC: Writer's block! Grrr! I hate it!!!! Don't worry, I always have writer's block. It's soooo annoying.

Right in front of her was a creature. She couldn't tell what it was, as a blinding white light was coming from the left half of it, and shadows shrouded the other half. It seemed to be bent over something, yet looking straight at her at the same time. The bent half was crying, and was on the bottom, while the top seemed to be glaring at her. She fluttered backwards, and bumped into Mist.
"It, it, it's weird. It's, it's, it's divided in, in, into 4 parts!" she stuttered, stunned. Her eyes were wide and blank. The creature, was, was, was unexplainable! You had to see it to believe it. It was too, strange, different for words.

Mist stumbled as Ice bumped into him. "What is it?" he asked. Then he looked over her, and saw the...thing. "What is it?" he breathed, his eyes wide in wonder. Smoke flew up and looked at it, confused. "I've never seen or heard of anything like it. What...is it crying!?" she said, bewildered. Then she looked closely at it. "I've heard of things that had four heads, one for each of the four main emotions: Anger, Sadness, or Grief as some say, Happiness, and...oh what was the last one?" she stuttered, trying to remember. Sky fluttered up behind them, and simply sat, staring in wonder. "Wow." she managed to say, and cocked her head. What is it?

[Kestrel]

Whatever it was, she hoped it wasn't... evil. The last thing they needed was something like that to be against them. Who knew what it could do... She didn't answer Mist or Smoke as she was still recovering from the fact that... the creature seemed... familiar? It seemed to be something in the back of her mind, that escaped her each time she got close to finding out why it seemed familiar. It reminded her of someone... someone she had met before... before what? Before something... but what? And why did the creature seem familiar, yet also remind her of someone at the same time? And why did she think it had something to do with strong magic or a powerful potion? And a fall? Maybe she'd tell all this to Sky...

Sky looked down at Ice. She could tell something was on the little matches' mind. She flew down and landed next to her. "Are you alright?" she asked, putting a wing around Ice. Meanwhile, Mist and Smoke were muttering possibilities. Little bits of conversation could be heard, "Yes...what?...no...sure...I'm positive...but wait....could...it... ... ...oh boy. NO!" Smoke screeched at her brother as he tried to scare her by telling her it was a demon. Then her head whipped around. She hoped she hadn't scared it or something. "Nice going." Mist whispered to her, trying not to laugh. She just glared at him.

[Kestrel]

"The... the... the creature. It... it... it seems... familiar," she whispered, her eyes fixed on Mist and Smoke, yet she was seeing nothing. Nothing but memories, flashing in her mind. Her eyes were wide and she stumbled backwards when a particular shocking picture of a gigantic figure heading towards flashed by. "But... but... but it also... also... also reminds me of... of... of someone..." she trailed off, and the memories flooded back.
The gigantic figure was caught in a sliver of rainbow light. It moaned and growled. It howled and groaned. It was changing, rapidly. Another memory surfaced.
She was falling from a great height. 2 birds were flapping above. One of them dived after her. Then blackness.
Now a figure cloaked in light was drinking a vial filled with a rainbow-colored liquid. When it finished drinking, it turned to her a started to let the light fade...
She was in a forest surronded by light. The gigantic figure and the figure cloaked in light were both there. They were both rainbow now, but the bigger one was darker. They uttered a few words quietly. There was a flash of blinding light followed by a spell of darkness.
Ice turned her attention to Sky. Her eyes were white and blank. She struggled to speak. She was seeing the last memory over and over again.
"M-m-me-e-em-m-mo-o-o-o-or-r-r-ry-y-y-y," she stuttered, then watched as Mist and Smoke imagined what the creature could be.

She was still in a trance 5 minutes later. She started to fall back, and would've dropped off the branch, had Sky's wing not been there. Where were all these memories coming from? And why now? Why couldn't they've come when she was older, and would've been as stunned. Neverless, they were her memories. The fall was the one that made her the most curious... had she lost her memory from the fall? If she had, why did they come back now...?
