Teddy padded through the jungle. He didn't care much for the damp heat, but the smells here were interesting. He was from a forest himself, so he was used to wilderness survival.

This was much different from his forest in many ways, Teddy thought. The animals, of which he'd seen little so far, were different. Even the plants and trees smelled different.

He wasn't actually sure why he was here. All he knew was that remaining at home had gotten tedious and boring. To be somewhere new was rather refreshing.

He was in a very good mood today. Being alone often boosted his morale. He actually smiled as he wandered.

Smiles didn't come often to his face. When they did, they passed as quickly as a wisp of steam in the wind. Grimaces and smirks were far more common.

He walked with his nose up in the air, sniffing at all the unfamiliar scents. One was stronger than the rest. It smelled a little like...cooked meat?

Out of curiosity, Teddy began to walk towards the scent. Despite his large size, he was a very quiet walker when he wanted to be. Stalking was a necessary skill if you wanted to survive away from grocery stores.

Although his paws were silent upon the ground, Teddy wasn't having as much luck with his stomach. He grimaced as it let out a loud growl. "The more noise you make, the less chance I have of feeding you," he muttered. "Just shaddup, will ya?"

His stomach completely ignored him. Teddy's ears flattened as it let out another round of unhappy growls. "Great. Just great."

As he got closer to the smell, Teddy's nose wrinkled. It was starting to smell bad. He wondered if the meat had been left out too long.

As the smell grew worse, Teddy's stomach quit growling. "Thank Zu'hai for small blessings." Trying to hold his breath, he walked closer.

Finally, he reached the source of the scent. It was a clearing. He looked around, but didn't see any rotting meat.

He sniffed cautiously, then winced. Yes, this had to be the place. The smell here was very strong.

In the center of the clearing was a very large flower. Was the meat lying underneath of it? Teddy walked closer.

He had to hold his breath. The smell was so strong it made his eyes water. He peeked beneath the plant, but saw nothing.
