Ares was now in the Tengel Rainforest. It seemed like another logical place to be. Perhaps there wouldn't be any wind storms in this place. He might not be able to run here, but he could climb and explore. This could be fun.

Kane was soaring over the Tengel Rainforest. The air was stale and humid. It wasn't a very good combination. He was beginning to feel drowsy as he flew. Maybe he should land soon. Yeah, that might be a good idea.

Mars was walking through the rainforest and he was beginning to get tired. Maybe the Tengel wasn't a good place to come to think. Sigh. He always picked the worst places.

Ares leaped onto a branch of a tree. He nearly missed it, he hadn't realized he was that bad with aiming his body toward a target. Maybe he should practice that. He leaped up to the next branch.

Kane angled his body toward the trees below him. As he got closer he began to close his wings. He landed on one of the higher tree branches.

Mars soon found himself by a small pond of water. It was murky and covered in algae. Not a good place to drink. He'd have to find another pool of water. Hopefully a cleaner one.

Ares jumped ot the next branch and the next. He was getting better at this.

Kane began jumping down the branched. Little did he know that his friend, Ares, was hopping up the same tree.

Mars moved on. He walked in the other direction and heard the babble of a stream. His ears pricked forward and he was on his way.

Ares noticed a movement above him. It was dark and big. Probably as big as he. It looked mechanical. Ares crouched and backed into the tree. Maybe the creature wouldn't notice him.

Kane saw a flash of white below him. It looked familiar, but he wasn't sure. He stopped going down the tree and listened for a sound to indicate the creature.

Mars soon found the stream. It looked clean and fresh. He put his front paws in the water and tooka drink. It was rather delicious water.

Ares pressed himself against the tree. He was as close as he could get.

Kane gave up listening and continued on his way down the tree. He would be at the place he saw the white flash soon. Perhaps it was gone already.

When Mars had his fill of water, he waded further in. The cool water felt so nice against his clammy skin and sweat covered fur. He felt rather disgusting. Hopefully this little swim would help him feel better.

The creature was even closer now. Ares was sure he was fine, until his stomach grumbled. He cursed his luck.

Kane heard what sounded like the grumble of someones stomach. He turned his head to look for it and saw his old buddy, Ares. "Hey there, friend," he said. "It's me, Kane."

Mars waded in further. The water lapped at his legs and bottom of his stomach. Boy, did the water feel good!

Ares's eyes widened. So it was Kane! "Hi there, buddy," he said with a smile. "Long time, no see," he said.

Kane chuckled. "I just saw you the other day," he said with a smile. Though it had seemed like a really long time since he had seen his friend. They had been training together.

Mars went further in. His body was beneath the water now, only his head was above the water. His feet would soon leave the stream bed.

His feet left the bottom and he was swimming. Swimming in the stream. He was feeling cleaner now as he swam around. He was definatley cooler.

Mars swam over to the other side of the stream. He stood up on the stream bottom near the bank and shook himself off. Water droplets flew off his fur and hit the nearby leaves.

After shaking off Mars climbed onto the bank and lay on one of the larger rocks. The sun managed to peak through the canopy wand was shining on him and the rock. It felt so good!

Ares jumped up another branch and slipped a little. He caught himself with his claws and heaved himself onto the branch. "That was close," he said to Kane below him with a chuckle

Kane chuckled at the sight of Ares. It looked kind of comical. "Yeah, really close," he said with a smirk.

Mars heard voices in the distance. Familiar voices. He stood up and looked around him. They weren't in eye sight. He took off in the direction he thought the sounds were coming from.

Ares chuckled with Kane. He knew the clockwork yonyuu was being sarcastic, but he couldn't let that bother him like it had the last time. He didn't want to lose his friend again.

Kane jumped up a branch. He was now just below Ares. "Let's play tag in the tree," he said with a smile. "It could be fun."

Just when Mars was getting close, the voices stopped. He couldn't tell where they had come from anymore. He listened intently, then heard it again. He was getting closer!

"Er, okay," Ares said. "But your it!" He jumped up higher into the tree to get away from Kane. He stuck his tough out at his friend below.

"Alright," Kane said with a grin on his face. He jumped from his perch and landed on th eone above him with some assistance from his wings. It wasn't very easy for a canine to climb a tree.

Mars heard the rustling of leaves and the voices again. He followed them and soon say his friends Kane and Ares climbing a rather large tree.

"Can't catch me!" Ares called down to his friend. The poor clockwork was moving slower now, and Ares was much more agile in the trees, as he had better claws to grab the branches with.
