Theo and Ruach tramped through the forest. Theo wiped sweat from his forehead with a bandanna. It was extremely hot and muggy.

"I don't know why I let you drag me on these crazy trips," Theo said. Ruach simply smiled, shifting her backpack to the weight sat more evenly. Theo continued to grumble, but this time under his breath.

He'd never been here before, but he'd heard stories about it from his adopted siblings. It wasn't the nicest place to find yourself. Ruach noticed something was bothering him.

"What's wrong?" she asked. Teddy shrugged. Several minutes passed before anything else was said.

"This isn't a good place." he said. Ruach looked curious. "It's too unpredictable."

"You're not afraid of rainstorms, are you?" Ruach knew there had to be more to it than that. Theo shook his head.

"It's a long story." Ruach smirked. "We have a lot of time, don't we? Spill."

"I don't know..." Teddy hesitated.

"I've never met your family," Ruach said, changing the topic slightly. "How many brothers and sisters do you have?"

Ruach looked puzzled. "Where?"

"At the Spirit's Ire Tavern. Several of them work there."

"Ah, I see. What are their names?"

"Well, there's Brevia. She works in the kitchen. Cassidy is one of the bartenders. Kaleb you probably haven't seen. although he does work there."

"Does he work as a dishwasher or something?"

Theo chuckled. "No, he actually owns the place. He wouldn't be caught doing dishes if his life depended on it."

"He owns the tavern? It's a family business, then."
