She didn't know what to tell him, she wasn't sure if Kimi was awake. Even if she was, this would be a bit odd for both of them. Still she couldn't refuse his offer, mostly because before she could open her mouth he'd already disappeared around the corner and up to the third landing. She couldn't believe the mess she was making of this all, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Silently she crossed the fingers on her free hand before she made her way up to the next landing behind him.

The next landing had very few scattered items, a small fire pit with a shambled together metal beam above it on which hung a small black pot. The fire had long ago turned to ash and the pot was empty, but that didn't seem to matter to the Batti as he moved away to the cabinets to his left. Leaving Ayami standing stunned, hungry, and awkward at the top of the stairs. He however seemed to pay her very little mind as he busied himself with gathering a few things out of that shelf, and moved to the table right beside it. "Come, sit." He told her as he began to cut whatever he'd gathered.
