Car took in her fear and anxiety with little more than a blink, she was a hunter, but she was also an injured woman. He regarded her for a long minute and pondered over her question, hunters rarely killed Kami's or any other form of fae or spirits. "I am Carmi, a Kami." He responded neutrally, never allowing his face to change. He could in some ways sympathize her for her fear and confusion, at the same time he wasn't fond of any mortal kin. "I'll help you down." Was all he said before he swept her up in a bridal style to carry her down the steps.

Ki was stunned, she'd only ever heard rumors and whispers about Kami's. It wasn't that they were rare, more it was that they wanted nothing to do with mortal civilization or the mortal kinds at all. They were guardians of nature and all that was of the planet, and it allowed her to sense his annoyance with her. Before she could change her mind however, Carmi had swept her up without her permission and began to make his way back down the steps in the same manner he'd come up them. That didn't sit well with the seasoned hunter at all, and thus Kimi began to protest.

There wasn't much she could do though, unless she wanted him to drop her flat on her bum. And she didn't put it pass such a creature to do just that, shutting her mouth before the words could hit the air. She crossed her arms over her chest though to show her displeasure with the situation. This she noted made the Kami smile some, which made her more angry. But injured and almost defenseless was not the time to get in an argument with a powerful creature.

Car was honestly amused by the hunter's anger at him, it was funny how someone who wanted aid was so picky on the type of aid she received. Then again that was mortals, tried and true, they were a race stuck to themselves and their wants. For this night he would shove aside his disdain for her kind and just allow Nocturna the peace in this night she sought when crossing the souls. Anger in this night could taint those about to be reborn and he didn't want to shoulder that blame. It was mere minutes before he was off the stone and in the over grown vegetation.

Ki was deeply angry, seeing as how this whole mission had gone so far off base. It was a disaster, and Reima wasn't around to yell at. She swore silently that if she could get out of here alive, she was never going to work for that rough old lucain. She was jarred harshly from those thoughts when Carmi dropped her into the damp grass at the edge of the courtyard. He had that amused smirk still on his lips, but he set Tzion beside her. "Thanks..." She grumbled to him when he turned his back to move away from her.

If he heard her words he didn't act like it or respond, instead he moved a handful of feet away from her and sat back down. Ki watched as he folded his legs into a meditation position his hands tucked neatly in his lap. She'd never seen anyone as calm or cold as he was, that mattered little to her though, he could still be a danger. Cautiously she pulled Tzion into her lap, keeping him in the corner of her eye. This was not how she planned to spend a night in the jungle, wet bum staring up at the sky across from a Kami who didn't like her in the least.

Car for his part was upset at the turn of events as well, and her words meant little to the Kami as he sat back down. His peace shattered by the presence of a mortal aura that seemed to foul the air around both of them. He was however again amused by her actions, "I will not harm you, I'm not that kind of Kami." He told her without even turning his head. "There is no need for violence in this night." Car's voice finished automatically, not needing the thought. Never wavering from his attempt at meditation, he closed his aqua eyes to the world.

To Ki this was surreal, something she thought might have come from those fruits the girl had fed her. She hoped she was maybe hallucinating, or dreaming. The damp chill of the breeze which wove its way through the trees and kicked up old feathers and leaves told her otherwise. That left one major question with her, one that she couldn't ignore. "Where is Ayami?" She asked the Kami. She watched him with mild interest while waiting for him.

Car listened to her words, they confirmed his earlier suspicion of another person traveling with her. Still he saw no reason to answer her right away, instead he allowed his aura to reach out into the forest. Seeking the new lives that were coming into the world around them then, and sure enough he found it. He found it in Kamee eggs that were hatching in the trees beyond his physical view, and the Tali pups who took their first breaths in a stone den once a mortal made basement. "I wouldn't know, you were all I found." He finally told her in a cool and uncaring tone.

As the seconds ticked by, Ki had almost given up on getting an answer from the Kami. The one she received was not what she'd wanted to hear though, and his tone was less helpful to her. It made her angry beyond words that he cared so little, "Ayami is a girl, a human. She was with me before the fight." Ki snapped at him in a bitter and harsh tone of her own. This stupid nature spirit was upsetting her more than Reima and Rihos had ever managed to. Did he really care so little about another life?

When all he did was shrug at her, Ki's blood began to boil in her veins. This was outrageous, "She could be hurt you know?" Ki growled at him, pushing Tzion into the soft earth beside her to try and stand up. Dov fluttered before her, chipping and calling to his master. He explained the last time he'd seen her, and it made Ki's heart sink in her chest. She couldn't make it back up those steps alone, angry she let her body flop back into the damp grass. Glaring heatedly at the nature boy.

Ayami had finally made her way to the second landing of the old tower, and was impressed to see what looked like an old work area. It had a chair and what reminded her of a table of a desk, covered in caked on mud and dust. Oil lamps scattered across the table, which warranted inspection. To the girl's surprise one still had some oil left inside, though she'd have to find a wick to stick in it. That wasn't too much an issue as she rummaged the older lamps for a fair wick to use. She had no idea she was being watched by a pair of red eyes in the far corner of the small landing.

Those glowing red eyes continued to watch in silence, bobbing up and down every so often as it followed her every move. Ayami was however oblivious to it's presence or the fact that the things she was shifting threw belong to this creature. It wasn't until she'd successfully implemented the wick in the lamp and lit it that she saw the other living thing there. A simple looking common Batti who's winged arms were at it's side with an annoyed look. It took a waddling step towards her and scrunched up its nose examining the lamp from an arm's length distance.

Startled, Ayami leapt away from the small figure in the darkness. "Now, now. That's not how you greet the person you were robbing." His voice hinted at anger but his face showed little of it as he squinted at the light,which Ayami quickly placed on the table. The Batti watched her with glowing eyes as she turned back to face him with a sheepish smile on her lips. His eyes opened wider but it was clear that he didn't find her cute in any way. "What's your business here?" He snapped.

Ayami was shocked, she wasn't here to rob anyone. The Batti though seemed more like he was one of those suspicious kinds, and thus she had no real defense. Setting down the oil lamp she tried her best not to look like a naughty little kid that got caught, but that was hard. "I'm not here to rob anyone, I'm just...lost" She lied, they weren't lost, they were just in bad shape. Telling him that might complicate things more though, so she figured a small white lie wouldn't hurt.
