Return to Tengel Rainforest

It's not hate, it's extreme dislike! [P]

"Come on, Faith!" Bel chirped, her eyes bright. "I'm bored! You're sooo slow!"

"It's too hot for my tastes," Faith replied, "so I don't exactly feel like running, Bels." She raised her head up high, sniffing the air with a hiss. "And it stinks here. You're lucky you can't smell like I can."

"You definitely smell, that's for certain." She giggled, jumping up onto the Panzer's head and staring into her eyes, a loopy grin on her face. "Hurry up, pony!"

With a grumble, the Panzer plodded on through the mud. She wasn't fond of the forest, but at least the shade from the tall, verdant trees and the occasional rainfall (which was sadly not present at the time) made it bearable. And there were less people than the cities or the park. It was way, way too crowded there.

But ugh, did it smell. Rotting plants, animal poop, the whole works. The air in the mountains was cool, crisp, clean. Except the mountains wasn't where Bel was.

Sadly.

Not only was he being forced to trek through miles of seemingly endless jungle, where venomous snakes hung among every tangle of vines and where every shadow was a creeping panther. The noise of the place was astounding, the trees rustled and rengosetts yowled, bugs chittered and buzzed, there was never any silence here. Cole just hope that by some miracle he wouldn't have to spend the night in such a place. He was a people person,  he was too useful to end up looking for dubious trade partners that only wanted to meet near their jungle homes. He was too valuable as one of the traders to get killed this way, right? Oh, if he ever got back alive he was going to murder Danny. She would never hear the last of this.

The nimble lucain padded down the rarely used path, hoping that there wouldn't be anything life threatening around the next corner. The path itself was slipery with mud and once or twice the lucain found himself clinging onto low handing branches for support. At times the mud was ankle deep, had he not known where he was, the swamps might have jumped to mind.

Cole's thick fur clung to thr back of his neck, while he was somewhat used to the heat, the humitidy was killing him. He really wasn't cut out for this sort of thing. The only brightside to this situation seemed to the that the humid jungle air was kinder to the lungs than the dry dust of his last trade visit.

Upon almost slipping over for the sixth time that afternoon, something caught Cole's eye. Something that was rather large, and a rather dark colour, and rather alive. Why, why did there have to be something that resembled and avalance panzer in the middle of the freaking Tengel Rainsforest? It just wasn't fair. He took a few hesitant steps backwards, his feet sliding on the muddy path. With a slight yelp, he tripped over, hitting his head on one of those low hanging branches he'd been using to steady himself on. Well, if the Panzer hadn't noticed him beforehand, it would have most certainly noticed him now.

((Fail. XD <33))

We’re all hysterical & going nowhere together.

C’mon rapture. Let’s go bedazzling.

"I'm hungry! Sniff out some food!"

"Okay, okay. Be quiet." The whelp complied, falling as quiet as a rock - fitting, considering her mineral nature.

Faith sniffed the air, looking for the scent of Beryl's favorite foods, but instead of shaking her head or barking out the direction to foods, she immediately tensed up.

The scent was heavy in the air - lucain. Male lucain. It brought back bad memories, of the laboratory. Painful, painful tests. The cold! She shivered, actually shivered, acutely aware of how frigid her own skin felt. She hated it when that happened, hated it when she remembered. Still, at least she could remember - remember what complete monsters those beasts were - and that was coming from her.

Faith turned her head and growled, doing her best to look terrifying, tensing up to leap. She'd kill that thing! Maybe that would teach those - those - those monsters what pain was like, since they clearly didn't understand the concept! Just then, Bel's long, muddy-slate-coated, definitely hard tail smacked  on the nose, making her yelp and stand her ground instead of rushing forwards. Probably for the best - she wouldn't want to dirty her already-muddy paws any worse.

"No! We can't hurt our new friend," Bel hissed. She turned to Cole. "Hi! I'm Bel, and this is Faith. She might seem mean, but she's actually really, really nice! I swear!" Her voice was childish, cute, a stark contrast to the angry growls of her friend and soulbond, and her bright eyes had the sort of glow a happy kid's eyes had, as opposed to the icy glare of Faith. They were complete opposites, but she was the one in control - a fact made obvious only by the way Faith glared instead of attacking.

(Bigger fail :P)
