"I don't really know..." He shrugged. "I don't guess you could call it by name or something, so I can't think of any good way to call one." He started sniffing around. He couldn't think of exactly where they would be around here. They could be hiding anywhere.
You may call, you may call
But the little black cats won't hear you.
The little black cats are maddened
By the bright green light of the moon;
They are whirling and running and hiding,
They are wild who were once so confiding,
They are crazed when the moon is riding
You will not catch the kittens soon.
They care not for saucers of milk,
They think not of pillows of silk;
Your softest, crooningest call
Is less than the buzzing of flies.
They are seeing more than you see,
They are hearing more than you hear,
And out of the darkness they peer.
With a goblin light in their eyes!

Jessica frowned and wrinkled her eye brow.  "Call it by name?  I don't think that'd work.  W need to work out something more elabrite than that.  There not very trusting, from what I've heard."  Jessica paced back and forth for a moment.  "They can phaze through things, no?  There must be something they can't, or rather, won't want to phazre through.  But what?"  Everything had a weakness.  You just had to know how and where to find it.
Its 2:45, the baby takes his first breath
The mother never knew he only had a few left.
And the father gets a call in the middle of the night.
His breathe gets short and his chest gets tight.

But he’s sixteen and he’s driving too fast
Takes a turn to the left, it would be his last.
Nobody knows what happens if he turns to the right
Nobody in the car would have died that night.

But he’s thirty-two and invincible
The cancer that he had, it was visceral.
He never saw it coming, though he had his whole life.
Sick in the morning and he died in the night.

"I don't know. I think radiation can't go through lead, but I don't know if it would keep moonlings in." Kou answered.
He looked around. It just seemed to be getting darker and later to him, but that made conditions all the better for their hunt.

A few rain drops sparkled down from the sky.  'Just great'.  Jessica turned to Kou.  "Lead, huh?"  Jess paced for a moment.  "What's made of lead that we can use?" she muttered, more to herself than to Kou.  It'd have to be a box or something that could be used as a box.  Where would they get one of thoses?

Kou shrugged. "don't know. I doubt anything around here." He told her. "But you'll never know what the rainforest natives that used to live here were able to do. Lets look around." He started sniffing for what he was looking for. It was too dark to really see, but he could always smell it. Not that he knew what lead smelled like. The 'humans' around where he lived had many pencils, but they said that had been changed to graphite... So he had no experience to base it off of. "We could probably find lots of  containers of different kinds around here..."

Jessica nodded, but inside she was becoming very agitated.  'Why can't we just catch one already!'  Jessica was used to imiedate results.  Calming herslef, Jess muttered out loud, "We need bait anyways.  I'm gonna go see if I can catch a bird or some sorta meat to give the thing."  Jessica, being a vegitarian herself, hated the idea of killing an inocent bird or rabbit, but she always got what she wanted.  Always.

Kou nodded. "Good Idea. It might get us respect and trust from it if we give it food." He knew that many creatures would trust someone who gave them food. mabe these moonlings were the same. It was worth a try.

Stalking out in the forest, Jessica realized it would be easy to catch some sort of prey.  Being a Feline, hunting was a sinch, and these creatures had never seen a Kuhna before, so they knew nothing of the trouble they were in.  Quickly, Jessica returned with two birds in her mouth.  She set them down and spit out the blood.  It tasted disgusting, and made her feel like a savage.  "Here's something to feed it." she said, proding the dead feeathered creatures with her paw.

"Good." Kou told her. "We should find somewhere to put them so that if the  moonlings come, they would be less likely to escape."
He looked around, finding a high rock bordered by very close tress on two sides. "Put them on that rock. It shouldn't be hard for us to catch one there..."

Jessica nodded, but only picked up one of the birds to set on the rock.  "I'm gonna keep the other one with me, incase we still need to win over its trust."  Jess hopped up on the rock, laying the deasd bird down lowly.  It was a beautiful blue colour, and it had tiny, beady eyes.  Jessica looked away in disgust.  She picked up the other bird and hid else where, for fer of the Moonling actually coming.

((Sorry it took so long to reply...))
Kou nodded. "That's a good idea. Now I guess we should sit and wait." He told the kuhna. He hoped that one would come soon. Maby more. THey were known to attack in groups. Mabe he could befriend one too. Then he would have some sort of friend where he lived, that was a bit mature hopefully. If not mature, it would still be fun just to have one around.

Jessica sat down behind a rock.  She knew very well that she might have to wait for quite a while.  The Moonling moight not even show tonight.  That was okay.  Just as long as nothing but the Moonling itself stood in her way of getting it, then she would happilywait for as long as she took.  But long waits could be boring.  Inside, she was secretly happy for Kou's company.  Turning to him, she asked, "So, where are you from?"  Anything to pass the time until a Moonling showed.

"I live in a meadow right now. Many pets live there that range from dopey happy to hateful loner. Some how we never have a huge war between some of them. I don' t like to stick arond too much. It gets chaotic sometimes. What about you? Where do you live?" He asked her after explaining.  He would prefur if she didn't try to get into a discussion of where he originally came from. He wouldn't answer that. She didn't need to know his past.

Jessica shurged and looked out at the bird.  Nothing yet.  "I go where ever the wind blows me, but..." she paused for a moment, "The closest thing to a home i have is at Roxi's.  It's been a while since I've been there."  Jessica though back to the warm Kuhna pens, where she'd been taken in.  She almost felt sad.  Almost, but not quite.  She could go back when ever she wanted.

"Yah... I'm never really at the meadow either. Every one knows me, saddly, And I know all who live there to an extent." He said. There were still no moonlings, but they were bound to come sometime. After all, the kuhna had gotten bait, that the moonlings would more than likely exsept...
