[center]It seemed as if the CottonCandy's feelings mimicked those of Kiyu, for when she breathed in his scent, her heart pulsed so ferociously that she thought it might pop out of her chest. "The rain.. I never even noticed that it stopped with you by my side." she murmured, nearly losing herself within her bliss. The Flarend kit, Crezac, having found her voice as well, chortled with glee and giggled to Uasin, "A match made in heaven, I know. StarClan, how dumbfounded Ero'd be if he say them like that!" The Berry nodded, a smile perking her lips. "Let's go find those Ancients; they must wonder where we've been." With that, the pair dashed off down one of the winding paths, almost colliding with some trees on the way. Spying a kit their age huddled near a filthy Arkuhna, they padded over to him. "Hey, you," mewed Creza softly, aiming not to be heard by the adult. "We're looking for a Common Kuhna named Sunapei; seen him anywhere?" Piere hesitated a moment, unsure of what to do. He was hustled by a sharp prod in the side and a "Well?" from the Flarend. "My name is Sunapei!" he shouted, provoking a reaction from the others in the alleyway. Orion leaped up, swearing profusely, and dashed towards the cover of the rainforest, which was surprisingly close, whilst Demona whipped around and grasped Sunapei in her jaws, dashing after her son with surprising grace and agility for one her age. "Dude, what's up with that?" Uasin asked, shrugging off the incident. "Well, at least we know who he's with," grumbled her companion, not wanting to speak much out of indignation. "Eekah, Zaccy, we coulda brought him to Lore!"
"Ook, like I hadn't thought of that yet."
"Why, you little!"
The two females battled on, neither touching her friend. T'was a shame that they didn't hear a Pumkin Kuhna stalking silently towards them...

Venomstreak whirled about as there was a crinkling sound behind him, his gaze narrowing upon Orion. He wasn't planning on beating down the guy, just tackling him and finding out what he knew, however as he leapt in his direction, Orion had turned and bolted off into the forest. Normally, Venom would give chase, as the male clearly had a guilty concience, but he was a little bit worn out from the race from the forest Into the slums. Plus, something else caught his attention. As the kit was picked up and raced off by another, Venom swore under his breath.

Briar Roses temper was growing short, and she stepped over to the two squabblings kits, her bloodred gaze narrowed as she glared at the Pumpkin Kuhna creeping towards them. Suddenly, her paw lashed out, placing a light swat on both of the kits rumps. "Shush, or do you want every stinking citizen of this land to be trying to steal you away." She was looking at the pumpkin kuhna as she said this, and the flames on her tail were flaring unpredictably. "Is your mother and the other far behind?" Venom watched Briars tail for a moment, smirking. It was clear she was about to loose her temper, blow her cool, whatever, and he wanted to watch the fireworks. He sat down and started grooming his paw.

[center]The two females gave violent hisses and spun on Briar Rose, claws unsheathed. Only Uasin recognised her, however, whilst the Flarend dashed away, having had quite the fright from the Ancient. The Berry gazed after her, indecisive. "Crezac, you idiot! Get back.." here she paused, lokking pleadingly at her comrade. "I'm sorry, but I have to go after her. She'll get herself into trouble. G'bye, miss!" Yet before the kit had a chance to follow in her friend's pawprints, the Pumpkin sprung into action, grabbing her scruff in his jaws. He was a kit as well, but stronger and leaner than the female, and ready to evolve. A'sin scraped with all her might at his stomach, but to no avail; her attacker held his ground. "Don't you know who I am, mousebrain? Open your jaws! You know your scent from mine, or so I should hope." he hissed as best he could, still gripping her firmly.
Slowly the struggles ceased as Ua recalled the gaudy cast of Graveland, one of the newer additions to the pen. "You were there the night I came to Tengel," she spoke to herself. "Valen? Evlan? Something like that, right?" With a wry smile, said Kuhna released his befuddled penmate. "Quite right, quite right. I wouldnt've expected you to remember." Who would have known that the infamous Pumpkin woulld make his move now?

"My passion for you knows no bounds, Kiyu, my love.. You must understand. But my darlings are gone, and it is my duty to watch over them." L'loriole mewed into the ear of her beloved, placing her paw on his. The heavenly aroma that engulfed her could never have been outdone, for the compassion she felt deep within her soul...

[center]I think that I'm going to pull out now. This thread has been sitting for more than a week, and I can't keep wasting my time checking to see if Aj has posted. I think that it would be safe to pronounce it dead. I'm sorry, but it's just not worth it any more.
