"See?" said Rocket. He indicated the wary approach of the two young Moonlings.  "They are approaching us. Perhaps we can reason with them."

Kyhorlet felt like slapping herself in the forehead, but Freezair was taking up all of her arms. After seeing them tease the Cavallion, she felt as though these beings were simply incapable of being reasoned with.

"I am Rocket Candy-Land," the Gorgeel calmly introduced himself. "My companions and I are sorry for intruding on your land. We--" But something told Rocket that perhaps now was not the best time to go speaking of their mission. Better earn the trust of the small creatures first.

Kayneena picked up for him. "We are but simple travelers on our way to a friend's house. We mean you and your people no harm."

"Yeah," Rorygon interjected. "We heard it was a little dangerous out here, but you guys look like you're sticking up for yourselves really well."

Never mind, Kyhorlet thought, that the Moonlings WERE the danger...

Leon took off his coat an' through it  at the group, assuming that they'll catch the hanging on for dear life, Orion and Nami.
With them out of the way; he Focused on Mit.
"Mi!! .. CALM DOWN- GWAH!!"
Mit had bucked, jumped and thrashed around like a roadeo horse.
Leon clung to Mit's saddel, but surpriseingly he hung on, wrangleing.
Mit then raced forward, wildly out of sight.
"LEON!!" Orion called. " LEON COME BACK!! "

[Freezair]

"Oh..." Kayneena swore bitterly in the ancient language of her homeland. "Hold on, Leon! I'm coming!" Her long legs loping along the ground, her claws sliced through the earth. She chased Leon and Mit.

Rorygon watched her bewilderedly. "Hey! Kay! Come back here!" He tried to lope after her, but he could not match the Serraptor's speed. Back at home, he'd alwats been faster than her. But here, she was built for speed.

"Dear me," Rocket tut-tutted. "It seems you fellows have gotten Leon and Mit into a rather tight spot. Aren't they awful?" he sighed to the two outer Moonlings.

"Boy, he's just asking for it," Kyhorlet sighed.

IC/Leon

Mit was weaving in and out of the trees, but eventually she was going to hit something.
Jumping over fallen trees, rocks, scattering a small little critter gathering. This was not cool.
Leon pulled on the reins as hard has he could, but Mit had saw something come up from behind, and paniced, again.
She reared twice, Obviously Leon elevated since he was on her back. He was suddenly caught by a hanging vine, It wraped around his neck. And he gurgled and struggled to hold on to the vine, so it wouldn't act as a hanging device. Well.. unless he would loose his grip.. Mit. then had stamped her feet repeatively, as if she was angry.
Leon was kicking his feet, hanging on the vines. If only he could grab his gun, he'd be able to shoot the vine. But he can't let go.
Mit seemed completely un-aware.

[Freezair]

Kayneena raced up, trying to catch up with Mit and Leon. When Leon snagged and Mit stopped, Kayneena skidded herself to a close.

Trying to be helpful, she summoned up the energies of her Spectral Strike, hoping that the little energy ball would be enough to break through the vine keeping Leon suspended. White light gathered around her crest. She flicked the feathers upward, aiming for the vine. She hoped she'd hit.

Rocket couldn't seem to be distracted from the Moonlings, but Kyhorlet, Freezair, and Rorygon watched in terror.

IC/Leon

He was suddenly free from his earthly coffin. He landed on his feet, before rubbing his neck.
"Thanks! I owe you one! " He ran to mit. and jumped on her back from behind, Pulling on the reins once more.
"Mitfhulendes!! It's me! it's Leon! .. Calm down! everthing'll be alright!  I would never turn you astray!"
Mit. Did a final rear. before settingling down. Breatheing hard, still a little frightend.
"...Good girl.." Leon patted Mit.s head, and ruffled her mane.
"Thank you, Kayneena." He said to her.

[Freezair]

"Not a problem, Leon. I'm just glad it worked!"

Kyhorlet, eager for a chance to get away from the Moonlings, came up to meet them. A small yellow ball of fur trailed behind them with the same excuse.

Rocket, however, continued to try and chat amicably with the Moonlings. "Did you see that? Impressive, wasn't it?"

IC/Leon

When he lead Mit. back to the group, Orion immediately ran to mit, climbing up one of her legs, and snuggling Leon.
Leon smiled, he nuzzled Orion back.
Nami crawled up to Leon too.
"what happend?" Nami joined in with the nuzzleing.

[Freezair]

"Mit got spooked and ran away," Kayneena informed him. "Leon got tangled in some vines and he almost got choked, but I helped him."

Smiling and nodding--and almost letting Freezair slip over her back--Kyhorlet complimented Kayneena. "That was quite good, Kay. You're a real trooper."

"Good on ya, Kay!"

"Nice goin', Kay."

Airily, Rocket remarked to his new "friends," "Nice going, wasn't it? Kayneena is really cool."

IC/Orion

"Aaahh!! You almost choaked?!"
Orion piped, having a heart attack.
"Did'ja see a light?!" Nami cut it.
Leon laughed. " Noo, nothin' like that, I just tried to keep myself from choaking, and then Kayneena saved me." Leon massaged Orion's head, and rubbed his own neck lightly.
"..I... Im sorry i was so ..stupid." Mit said sadly.
"Nah, it's not your fault. Animals can sence danger before humans can, Right?"
"..Yeah pretty much >.>" Nami said.

[Freezair]

"Well, that would certainly explain Ky being so skittish, yes? She is an animal at heart, after all," Rocket airily remarked to the Moonlings.

Drifting away from the conversation, the spoken-of Ky wondered, "Hey, Rocket, are those Moonlings actually listening to you?"

"I believe so," he hissed. "After all, I still have a bit of darkness in my heart."

PAying attention to the matters at hand, Kayneena said, "Just so you know, Leon, you don't owe me anything! Nope! Consider it my payment for letting us vist your house!"

"...I think the Moonlings are still staring at us..."

( ... -slinks in, tail between... it's {For I Have No Gender! -shifty eyes-} legs- Hey... I didn't forget I just got busy. (Busy = Lazy Maybeh? X3 hee) Well there IS Christmas shopping to be done. =3;; -puts up weak defense and hides from rotten fruit and veggies- Meep! >.< )

The two moonlings watched the happenings' with a curious, calculating interrest. The two before Rocket being the only two visible, the rest floating around and passing on the message.

They seemed to have worthy enough foes, after seeing that rescue. All the moonling had sensed what kind of damage that could do to them, even in their more ghoulish, mist like state.

Suddenly, from above their heads a moonling shrieked in delight, become solid as it pounced upon some unseen prey. A few joined in to watch whatever was going on. A cry of frustration and then a funny, slimy wet plop!

Upon the blonde man's head was a strange sort of snail, who quickly pulled itself into it's portable home. The strange creature slipped off Leons head and into his lap, the sharp points of it's tough shell sticking a little painfully into his thigh. Good thing it hadn't cut open his skull though... right?

The moonlings hissed angryly, moving swiftly this way and that as they raged over their lost prey.

(You wouldn't give up the poor jungle snickies life would you? Although, it might act as a peace offering and give you a better chance with the moonlings. Nothing is ever certain though, so choose wisely. =3 Hey, maybe you can even have your cake and eat it too? -hates that saying- XP )

[Freezair]

"Ummm..." Freezair said plainly. "Uh, Leon... you've got a snail on your stomach."

"Ah! A Snicky!" Rocket said to his perculiar companions. "A favorite prey of the Moonling. I'll bet it makes you two hungry, doesn't it?"

"You think we can talk them into not killing us if we give them one of those?" Rorygon said charily.

Kayneena felt an angry presence around her and slunk down silently. But Kyhorlet inched closer toward Freezair, thinking that perhaps Rocket had the right idea.

"..Say wha-? why do they call it a ..Wha-wha- WAAAUUUGGHHH!!!" Leon paniced, the snail's shell pricked his thighs.
"Gahh!! THAT HURTS. (TTOTT;)"  He couldn't grab hold of it, But it couldn't stay on his lap!!
"Get it off!! ><" He squealed, waving his arms around and kicking.
Nami and Orion just stood there in awe.

[Freezair]

Trying very, very carefully not to damage anything sensitive, Kyhorlet aimed a swift kick in the general direction of the Snicky. She tried to kick it down to the ground, and she thought its thick shell could easily take the hit.

"Oh, Ky, don't," Freezy protested. "Be nice. I think it's cute."

"It's a snail."

"Yeah, and Rocket's a gross eel thing," Kayneena agreed. "But we still love 'im. Don't feed them the snail! It's cute!"

"Well, Moonlings also like--hrm, well, what DO you eat?"
