[Continued from this RP]

For a supposedly super-intelligent being, Aerowyn got the distinct impression that the Kaminoan wasn’t very bright, at least when it came to the subject of self-preservation. If she didn’t know better (and she wasn’t sure if she did, honestly), she would have thought that the scientist had some kind of twisted death wish. No one could be that stupidly certain of themselves, could they? She could feel anger rising up inside her chest like a molten pool of bubbling lava, and it was all she could do to keep a lid on it for the time being. If it wasn’t for the fact that they might need this creature to free Sev (or perhaps to use as blackmail, if necessary), Aerowyn would have put a bolt through that pale gray head long before now.

“Well, would you look at that; all those scientists were wrong about evolution all this time. Backwards evolution exists after all, and you’re the undeniable proof of it.” Aerowyn’s anger was redirected into the disdain dripping from every word which left her mouth, her gaze equally imperious as the Kaminoan’s. Clearly, both women seemed to have a very low opinion of each other, and both were firmly planted in their belief that they had the moral high ground. Aerowyn, for one, could not fathom the idea that any living creature could condone the act of cloning, especially when they were doing it for the simple goal of churning out cannon fodder. Every life was worth something, and every living thing had a soul and a right to life. Those who deemed themselves worthy to play god and create life to simply throw it away deserved a fate worse than death.

Suddenly and without warning, a bolt flew from the tip of the bowcaster in Aerowyn’s hands faster than the eye could follow and whizzed past the Kaminoan’s face, close enough for her to have felt the crack of air as it passed. “That is where you are woefully wrong. Your life is mine to command as long as this weapon is in my hands, worm. So unless you’ve fabricated a way for science to unsplatter your brains from that far wall once I’m through with you, I’d suggest that you take me to where you’re keeping Sev.” Her finger tightened a hair on the trigger in her hands. Now.
