Yasara 'Clawfoot'; Vesitia 'Iceflower', Arl?ºr 'Dawnwish'
[[Currently for myself only.  I might pull other people in later; no promises yet.]]

The air was thick with the scent of rain as the three female Kuhnas slowly padded into the rainforest.  They'd all just met each other, but already, they felt like something had been holding them together long before that; a bond that was awakened by speaking names other than their given names: Clawfoot, Iceflower, and Dawnwish.  Their given names were Yasara, Vesitia, and Arl?ºr.

"I can scent some prey from here, Clawfoot." Iceflower said offhandedly, raising her maw to the air.  Dawnwish nodded as she said, "Indeed... Plenty of fresh-kill here.  Shall we hunt some, Clawfoot?" She asked.

The Tide Kuhna nodded as she smiled.  "Indeed we shall.  I see no reason not to hunt some." She said, taking a position where her wings were clasped to her body and her tails here kept low to the ground.  Dawnwish and Iceflower followed suit, waiting for prey to come near.

Soon, the scent of a Matches came into the air.  Clawfoot smiled as she turned to her companions.  "Let it land first, then make your move.  Dawnwish, you know what is best to do with aerial prey." She said, grinning as her violet eyes sparkled.

"Yes, Clawfoot." Dawnwish said as she crouched to the ground, watching the Matches.  Meanwhile, a Cuniflare had taken Iceflower's eyes. She inclined her head to Clawfoot, then stalked off to watch the Cuniflare.  Her tails twitched slowly as she kept steady eyes on it, waiting for it to move...

The Cuniflare sat in the clearing, its nose twitching from time to time as it looked around.  However, its eyes never seemed to land on its predators.  Iceflower's tails twitched calmly as she watched its every move, her ears perked and trained onto the tiniest of sounds.

Then, the bush rustled as another Cuniflare joined the first.

Clawfoot smiled as she spotted the other Cuniflare.  "Perfect." She said, her voice barely above a whisper.  That's when they heard the chirping of the hapless Matches that Dawnwish had claimed as her prey.  The Cuniflare's ears were perked now, looking for an enemy.

The Tide and Aurum Kuhnas moved in perfect unison now, leaping into the air at the Cuniflares.  Because they were so silent in leaping, the Cuniflares were unawares that they were being attacked until it was too late.  Clawfoot grinned as she sunk her claws into her prey, and Iceflower did similarly.  Dawnwish padded into the clearing with the Matches hanging limp from her jaws, her blue eyes filled with pride.

"Well done, Dawnwish." Clawfoot said as she moved away from the Cuniflare.  "It is just too bad that there's no fresh-kill pile yet.  I'm sure that any other warriors would love a meal like this."

Iceflower nodded.  "But they should be here soon enough, yes?  I mean, they chose leaders and everything... just not... medicine cats." Iceflower said, taking a bite of the Cuniflare.

"Medicine cats are essential, yes.  Without them, there is no communications with StarClan, and no one to turn to should we fall ill." Clawfoot said.  "They are the most important Kuhnas in the clan, save for the leader.  Even the deputy isn't as important as the medicine Kuhna." Clawfoot said.  Dawnwish nodded as she stretched out her legs.  "This is very true... But why don't we at least familiarize ourselves with what will be our territory?" She asked.  Iceflower nodded.  "Yes, let's.  Shall we say a patrol, Clawfoot?"

"Actually," Yasara said, "The Clans have not yet started.  Why don't we take some time and go solely by our birthnames for a while?  You know... Yasara, Arl?ºr, Vesitia?" The Wynd Kuhna looked at her in shock before saying, "Well... I don't see why not..." She turned to Vesitia and said, "It's been a while since we called each other by something other than our warrior names, hasn't it, Ice--I mean, Vesitia?"

The Aurum Kuhna nodded.  "Indeed, Dawn--I mean, Arl?ºr.  It's been so long that I almost can't call you Arl?ºr or Yasara." The Tide Kuhna laughed.  "Well, we might as well get used to it again, friends.  After all, it doesn't really matter--Arl?ºr, Vesitia, Yasara; Clawfoot, Dawnwish, Iceflower... we're like sisters no matter what."
