"Stupid girl! Look what her door DID to my armor!" snapped A. Joe, waving one of his wings. The metal plating had some rather deep tooth imprints in it, and was loosening.

"Don't worry, I'll fix it soon," replied Oath. One wouldn't think the Chimerantula to be a metalworker, but he was actually quite an expert at it. His front legs worked surprisingly well as secondary hands, able to handle small tools efficiently enough.

"So...we're hunting for a Moonling now. They're good fighters too..." mused A. Joe.

"Of course," laughed Oath. "Of course."

"We wouldn't take a partner who could not hold his own in battle," muttered Oath. "Luckily, they have great evasive abilities, which are just as important as attacking abilities. Like you, Joe. You are both evasive and offensive. My abilities are more offensive. But all of us together make an unbeatable team...well, almost unbeatable," he conceded. Occasionally, their prey had managed to escape, but never beat them. Still, Oath considered escape of their prey a defeat.

"True, true," laughed A. Joe. "If I'd had you with me at that place, the girl would surely have given us the sylph!"

"Sylph? What was it like?" The Chimerantula had forgotten to ask. "A normal one, like the one that several people got for Christmas?"

"No, no," said A. Joe. "It was black, with red lava wings. Very pretty and magnificent. Probably had some fire powers too."

"That does sound pretty," said Oath, grinning. "Too bad our offer wasn't accepted."

"After this little boy got the sylph, I tried to trade for it with our offer. And the stupid kid ran off and started crying. Sheesh. I would have stuck around to explain, and tell the kid to grow up, but the lady's cat tried to attack me. Barely got away." A. Joe paused for breath. "Yeah, so that's what happened."

"Shame," said Oath.

"Indeed. Ah well, a Moonling should be a good companion nonetheless."

There were some noises up ahead, and the two crept forwards. However, what they saw was a bizarre gathering of creatures. A. Joe's eyes crept to the large Khimera nearby.

"Oooh! A Khimera!"

"That'd be nice," hissed Oath. "Shall we attack?"

"Certainly."
