Cujo laughed. "Yeah, good idea." She continued humming the song (which was now stuck in her head) as they walked. She thought that they were getting close to the pond she had mentioned. "So what other music do you like?" She asked.

<sub>"I do like Indie Rock and Rock - 'specially Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, the Killers and Muse, to name a few." Lance grinned. He loved to listen to music, and sing, and dance. Anything that was fun. He wasn't afraid to embarrass himself in front of other people, either. If they didn't like him singing, that was their problem. He mulled in his brain for another song, and then began to sing above the dripping noise of the rain drizzling down from the heavens.

"Come up to meet you,
Tell you I'm sorry,
You don't know how lovely you are.
I had to find you,

Tell you I set you apart."

"The Scientist by Coldplay, a great song. Catchy, too," Lance said, chuckling.</sub>

[Carlie]

Cujo had relitively similar music taste. "I don't know that one." She smiled. "But I really like the stuff I do know by Coldplay. I like all of those bands you mentioned." All of the sudden, she was in a singing mood.

"Oh brother I can't, I can't get through
I've been trying hard to reach you
'Cause I don't know what to do
Oh brother I can't believe it's true
I'm so scared about the future and
I want to talk to you
Oh I want to talk to you"

She wasn't shy when it came to singing in front of others, although she usually was when it came to dancing, at least until she got to know whoever she was with. Once she did, she was incredibly outgoing.

Or write a song nobody has sung
Or do something that's never been done"

Lance grinned, adding the next few lines of song. "You have a good singin' voice, if I do say so myself." Lance's own voice wasn't perfect - it often wavered around the higher notes of song, and sometimes was so shrill that he hurt his own ears. Oh, well. He liked his voice and wouldn't trade it for the world. "You listen to music often?" He asked Cujo, the bars of music still running through his mind.

"Thanks." She smiled. "Yeah, all the time. My owner is always listening to music, and I like a lot of what she listens to." He seemed to have very good taste in music, she thought. As she was talking, they arrived at the pond. It was small but the water looked very clear. "Wow, I didn't get us lost. That's an accomplishment for me." She laughed.

Lance laughed and did a cannonball into the crisp water. The water rose up to his chest, and he dunked his face into the cool liquid. He felt the most welcome in a body of water. Even a shallow puddle of water was comforting to him. He rubbed his fur with his paws, ridding himself of clods of mud, watching them drift down to the bottom of the pool. He broke into song with an ecstatic cry of glee.

"I want to live where soul meets body
And let the sun wrap its arms around me
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing
And feel, feel what its like to be new"

"You can come in if ya want," Lance grinned up at Cujo, partially submerged. "The water's not that cold. You'll get used to it."

[Carlie]

Cujo ran over to the pond and jumped in, causing a huge splash. "The water's pretty nice." She said, grinning. She dove under the water, getting her entire body wet. She may not be a hydrokuhna, but she loved water as well.

"I do love a good swim," Lance purred. He let his body disappear into the cool liquid, only letting his pale green eyes glint and gleam underwater. He burst up from the surface of the water in a shower of water, shaking liquid from his blue fur. He laughed and gave Cujo a playful splash before disappearing beneath the surface again, doing playful flips and twirls underwater.

[Carlie]

Cujo laughed and then dove underwater, following Lance. She planned to get him back for splashing her but she ran out of breath before she caught up with him. She swam up to the surface, where she waited for him. She'd get him back once he came back up, she though. She was grinning. It had been a while since she'd been swimming.

"'Ello," grinned Lance as he emerged from the water behind Cujo, nipping her neck playfully before slipping beneath the cool water again. He popped out in front of Cujo, doing lazily backstrokes as he circled the small pond. He released a spout of water from his muzzle like a whale, wiped his mouth, and laughed, shaking droplets out of his fur. The rain seemed to be declining into an occasional dripping from the sky. Sometimes there was a boom of thunder and a clap of lightning, but they were all many miles away. Lance wouldn't have to worry about lightning coming and ruining his fun.

[Carlie]

Cujo jumped slightly and then swam as quickly as she could over to Lance. Once she caught up with him, she tackled him, pushing them both underwater. Once she had floated back to the surface she laughed. "I win!" She giggled and swam away from him before he could do anything.

_{Lance spluttered comically underwater before resurfacing, wiping water from his muzzle. "Tricky little bloke," he laughed, leaping out of the water like a fish and diving underwater, following Cujo. He resurfaced in front of the Common Kuhna and used his forepaws to splash her. He blew a playful raspberry before diving back underwater, his green eyes twinkling.}

[Carlie]

Cujo laughed, diving back underwater. She followed him for a few seconds, and then decided to splash him back when he resurfaced. She swam up, she was nearly out of breath anyway. She waited, almost directly above him.

Lance resurfaced, more in his watery state than in his solid form. Water ran down his muzzle and neck and chest in torrents, and his face was lost in a waterfall of liquid. Only his eyes, excited and flashing, could be seen. He laughed, his voice distorted by the water, and jumped at Cujo, a rainbow of sparkling water in his wake. He nipped Cujo's neck again, grinning at her as he returned to solid form. "Miss me?"

Cujo splashed him while laughing. Getting tired of swimming around, she stayed where she was, watching him. "I haven't been swimming in a long time. I almost forgot how nice it is." She smiled.
