Arya sauntered down the halls, quickly avoiding anyone who was in her way.  She obviously hadn't read, or simply hadn't cared about the dress code rules that much, because she was dressed in a cream colored wrap corset, black shorts, and black strappy flats.  She had at least gotten the memo about dark colored clothing it seemed.  Her blonde hair was thrown over her shoulder, the icey blue strands that had been manicured only a few hours before falling perfectly on top.  Her dainty ears with the defined point that showed her elfin lineage were currently hidden under her hair, though she planned to fix that as soon as she had the muse to.  Sure, she was already talented in her clan's and many other forms of magic, but her mother dearest had suggested that she go and learn outside of the palace, and learn more than just magic.  Little did the poor queen know that her naive little daughter hadn't simply been studying diligently in her chambers all those years, but instead she had been outside, causing havoc all around.  She didn't let this change discourage her though.  She figured that one way or another, she would find that one person here who was supposedly high and might, and then she would set to work to make their life and job a living hell for the first few weeks.  She didn't actually know where this person was, only that they were the head of the school.

Arya manged to weave herself through the crowds with relative ease, and knocked over a few of them who simply weren't going to move out of her way.  She was not, to say the least, used to being pushed around like such, and this new treatment made her realized just how cooped up she had been in that palace.  Sighing, she channeled some energy into her palm and recited a spell.  A small charm that was hidden among the other tattoos on her body materialized, and the rune glowed before throwing a tall muscular boy who was about to practically step on her into the wall.  She glared at him, and then continued on her way.  The rune stayed out for a few seconds longer to ensure that its master was in no danger, then retreated back into its resting state.  She wasn't in any sort of hurry, despite being late to her first class, practical defense using magics.  After all, she'd probably pass the class with flying colors, judging by the way she quickly dispatched anyone who annoyed her that morning.  It was the other classes that her parents were worried about...

She turned the corner, and saw a young man talking with some other students.  He had, for some reason, interested her now, and she approached.  He seemed to be of decent health and looks, though she wasn't so sure about his magic talents, seeing as he was having trouble shifting forms.  She got closer, and tucked her blond and blue streaked hair behind her pointy ears before coughing quietly and girlishly to let him know there was someone near him, and a girl.  After all, him turning around on her and mistaking her for a guy and trying one of those fistbumps or something of that wasn't the best way to start off a greeting and meeting.

(Can't wait to see what the headmaster thinks of this piece of work.  xD;)

Kale was still waiting patiently by the headmaster's side, unsure if he had been heard, but unwilling to walk away or ask again, in case the headmaster thought he was being rude... He had seen the way he had called after the girl with lilac hair and jeans - jeans! - and he looked at himself, relieved he was wearing normal black slacks and a deep blue hoodie. He didn't really go in for colour much.

Clearning his throat, he reluctantly decided to repeat his question: "Sir? I don't suppose you could direct me to the potions lesson? I'm not exactly sure on where I should go..."
"I remember who I was, who I've always been. Sometimes I forget I'm not that person any more."

Classes hadn’t started yet and Bristlecape seemed to arrive with time to spare. As she approached the front door she noticed a very familiar man. He reminded her of Anubis (though she would likely never say it to his face, or even out loud) and Bristlecape chuckled to herself, getting it out of her system before she got to the headmaster.

There seemed to be one boy in the cue to speak with the headmaster. The two exchanged words and the boy left in a hurry, looking a bit flustered. It was a little infectious, Bristlecape’s hands grabbing onto her shirt to keep herself from crossing her arms and looking hard to approach. Now she just looked awkward when she got to the headmaster.

“Morning Headmaster Rook. Ah... I’m really looking forward to theyearahead!” She started out pretty good, maybe a bit too eager, the over analyzing of herself made her rush to the end of what she wanted to say as the words, all those important things, ran out of her head.
“... Uh... Oh! I was meaning to ask, uh, will you be teaching any courses, Headmaster?”

A boy who she had missed (how rude of her, whoops!) seemed to be repeating a question to the headmaster and Bristlecape jumped right in, “Oh! I have my map! Hang on,” She said as she reached over one shoulder to leaf through the papers, feeling through them. The first one was her schedule, the second the map. She tugged it free with a few quick jerks and handed the map to the boy.
“Uh... Do you know which number? Well I could walk you there, I don’t think classes have started quite yet.”

Kale's eyes went wide, as the girl offered to walk him to class. He was immediately torn between getting there on time and the discomfort of walking with someone else... But he cared more about his potions than his peers. Forcing a smile, he grit his teeth as he said the words "Thank you very much, I would appreciate that. Yes please." He really just wanted to be alone, but unless he excelled at his potions, he wouldn't be able to take over the family business... He didn't really care what his family thought, he just...really wanted to run a potion business. The girl turned and strode off, and Kale made to follow her, noticing a girl in a green dress sitting just outside the greenhouse reading a book...

The diosol formed Zexi scowled and huffed at the headmaster. How dare he yell at him! He intentionally turned into a rabbit to run away from those beasts as quick as he could. Gritting his teeth he hopped over to the head master and glared at him. "I turned into a diosol intentionally sir." He ground out his words btu otherwise remianed, somewhat, polite. "Now I'd like to know which is a my first class here sir. I was invited to this institution late and have no set schedule yet."

((OOC: Elektra, your OOC made me laugh for real. XD))

(EDIT: Ninja'd by Talcen! I worked a response to him into this post. Plox reread?))

Fenrick, having studied under Emiliano Rook for many years, seemed to be herding all the new students towards him. He knew what he was doing, after all, and knew his way around. He introduced himself briefly and continuously--"Hi, I'm Fenrick!" "Hi, over here, please!" "Hi! If you need help knowing where to go, I can help you!" With his bright smile and violet eyes, he drew everyone towards him.

He paid especial attention towards Silas, whom he saddled up towards. "Don't let Master Rook get under your skin too much," he said. "He just means that he's... probably going to be hard on you at some point. He's... kind of hard on most people." Fenrick fiddled nervously with the strap on his schoolbag. "But he means well. Honest. He's really smart, and if you work really hard and practice, he'll start showing his nice side to you. He really will."

As if agreeing with him, Headmaster Rook turned towards Fenrick with a smirk. "You'd better not be getting my students' hopes up, Fenrick. If they have unrealistic expecations of me, I'm going to blame you."

With that, he turned away from Fenrick to a young girl who seemed to be eager to speak with him. "Yes, indeed I am, miss. If you have any advanced level Enchantment classes, or are taking any Spellcrafting classes at all--all advance-level, those are, for the art of creating one's own spells is highly specialized and very dangerous--I teach all of those personally. But I'm afraid I haven't the time, amidst all my other duties, to teach elementary classes."

Fenrick, however, suddenly gasped. Color rose up his cheeks. Headmaster Rook followed his gaze. The Master's teeth set with an almost audible crunch.

"Oh... my." He folded his arms into his sleeves. "I see we have... one of those students on our hands here, this year. Fenrick?"

Though he was in human form, Fenrick's ears perked in a very canine way. "Yes, Master Rook?"

"Please go fetch that young lady over there to me, and tell her I would like to speak with her." His throat rippled quietly. "I do believe she will need to be reminded of the... rules of our fair institution." As the spell came off Arya's runes, Rook's nose tensed. He seemed to be able to smell the magic.

Fenrick nodded. "Yes, Master Rook." He scurried over to Arya. "Umm... hi... miss? You, um... Master Rook wants to speak with you."

Multitasking as if he had five brains in his head, Rook turned on Zexi. "You do not give the appearance of much control yet, then. You still smell to me as if you have issues with spontaneous magic. If you do not yet know your schedule, I highly suggest you start this morning with a class on Magic Control. Down the hall, to your left, in Room 41."

Arya gave him a once over, and like what she saw, as in the experience that seemed to come off of the young man who had just approached her.  Not to say that he wasn't more than adequate in the looks department as well, but that was for another time.  She followed him over, and as they neared, she had to take a couple of deep breaths.  She could feel power radiating off of someone nearby, and it was staggering.  Her race was known for being able to sum up other's magical potentials in a matter of moments, with or without having met that person, and that had certainly just happened.  What she didn't expaect was to be led to an older man in an anthro form.

"You're the headmaster?!" she asked incredulously.  She had been told that he was extremely experienced and well versed, but the first thing that came to mind was that students might not be so happy as to walk into class and see their headmaster was a wolf man.  Sighing, she shook her head, and brushed her bangs out of the way so that she could clearly.

((OOC: -bows- Glad to have been of service~  xD  But seriously, watch her, cause she has this weird thing that makes her think she's better than a lot of others, at least better than an old man...  So this should be interesting.))

Silas glanced up from his own little bubble at the tap on his shoulder to find himself face-to-face with two dragons. Dragons? How had dragons managed to fit through the door? They seemed a bit on the small side, too, until he took a second to realize what he was actually looking at. Anthropomorphic Paragons, similar to the headmaster. Both of them seemed friendly enough, though Epsilon still seemed a bit unsure. He patted the rabbit's head reassuringly before answering.

"I suppose," he said to Morana, a small smile creeping to his lips. "I studied under another master, High Wizard Capello, for quite a while. He mentioned Rook time and again, and, after he went off, I decided to investigate here. I was just expecting someone, well, different." Indeed, Capello had been a stern master as well, driving his only student harder than the boy would have liked. He had been hoping that Rook would be a little less harsh, but he supposed it came with the title of High Wizard.

He turned his attentions to Caradius. "Yes, he is. A lot of Master Capello's training centered around familiars. He said that, if anything could be considered his specialty, it was them." Epsilon's wings fluttered slightly as he stretched forward to investigate the dragon, nose quivering. He had begun picking up on the magics around him now that his master's initial nerves had worn off a bit.

The boy inclined a nod to the boy he assumed was an older student by the way he was directing the controlled chaos around him. The fact that he had taken a moment of his time to address the worries of someone so far away from what was quickly becoming the eye of a very charged storm was comforting. Rook seemed to have a sense of humor, too, after the quip he gave the other lad. Maybe this wasn't going to be so bad after all.

Calla made her way back over to Morana and Caradius as Morana smiled.  "You're so lucky to have a familiar!  I had one for a little while, back home in Luskan..."

"Morana," Caradius warned.

"She was a cat.  I had named her Eara--she was simply darling, and a bit of a conversationalist, from time to time, as I recall," she said.  "She was a gorgeous white kitten--alas, she never got the chance to be anything more than a kitten."

"Morana."

"You see, my sister, friend, and I aren't actually from here," she said, completely oblivious to Caradius, or Calla (who was now clinging to Caradius' arm.  "We were from a place called Luskan in the realm of Faerûn--"

A whimper from Calla caused her to stop here.  Caradius glared sternly as he said, "Your sister still has nightmares about that, Morana!  How could you go on like that to a stranger?!"

"But he's not a stranger!" Morana protested.  "I'm Morana Lienna, and this is my sister, Calla, and our childhood friend, Caradius Araman.  And you would be...?"

After the mention of a feline familiar who hadn't been able to be older than a kitten, Silas almost tuned out everything else. So, he finally meets someone else who had a familiar, only to find out that they had lost hers. Epsilon shot the mage a worried glance, nuzzling close for comfort. While they might not always agree, the idea of losing the rabbit was a painful one. Even if this woman had only had her familiar for a short while, it still hurt. It might still, though she could talk about it with ease.

The urge for an introduction prompted him to stop brooding for a moment. "My apologies. My name is Silas, and this is Epsilon." The rabbit nodded in response to his name, eyes traveling from one face to another. "You have my condolences for the loss of your familiar, Morana. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. And I'm sorry for your, er, loss, all of you. Whatever it happens to have been."

Someone mentioned classes, which brought another question to his mind. "Say, did any of you three receive a schedule?"

"I'm Fenrick," the boy replied. He motioned as if to tip his hat to the others, though his head was bare. At least the dress code didn't demand star-studded pointy hats! "Callas, huh? Silas? Nice to meet all of you." He looked over his shoulder with a flinch. He could feel the passive heat pouring off Master Rook. Although the Lucain stood peaceful as a tree, Fenrick was well versed in the smoldering anger brewing in his eyes.

"Yes, young mistress, I am indeed the Headmaster. And you are a student, are you not?" His arms twitched, buried in their sleeves. "Because I cannot help but notice the ways in which you ignore proper decorum for students of this institution. Have you not read the handbook? For surely, you would know that the school dress code does not include such... frivolties as these." A disdainful finger shot out of his sleeves and indicated her ensemble. "Nor is such strong magic as that which you posses in your runes permitted, in the hallways, outside of classes, and away from instructor supervision. Have I made myself clear, young mistress?"

Fenrick tried pointedly to ignore the headmaster. "Uhh... you lost your familiar? That's tragic." He spun to Silas in turn. "Yeah, everybody should have a schedule. You got a letter in the mail with your acceptance on it, right? If you tap that with your pointer finger, it should change and reveal your schedule."

Nieve looked up in time to see a bunch of students gathering around a young man, who seemed to be telling them about their schedules. Luckily, the wind was blowing in her direction, so she could hear everything that was said. "so that's how you do it!" She whispered to herself. She pulled out her schedule, gave it a tap, and groaned. 'Medicinal herbs and plants' was indeed her first lecture, but it wouldn't start for another half hour! No wonder there was no-one else there.

Nieve sighed, and got up. She might as well go and introduce herself to the others. Putting her best smile on, she walked up to the group which had begun to dissipate, and said "Good morning, I'm Nieve" to the nearest person...
"I remember who I was, who I've always been. Sometimes I forget I'm not that person any more."

When Fenrick mentioned how they could view their schedules, Morana's eyes widened, while Caradius went searching through his robe for his and Calla's.  Morana produced her letter first, and she tapped it.  When her schedule appeared, she could not help but smile brightly.

"Oh, I do so hope that I can demonstrate some of the spells I know in this class~" she said in a lilting tone.  "Hopefully an outdoor demonstration, so that I don't risk any... severe damage."

"Morana, I personally forbid you to shoot off any fireballs on the first day of class," Caradius said sternly before he turned his attention to Calla.  "And you most certainly will not be summoning that coatl of yours on the first day either, do I make myself clear?" he asked, and the young Sparkdrake nodded her head.

"In turn, I better not hear about you performing any Shapechange feats," Morana said sternly.  Then, looking at hers and Calla's schedules together, she smiled.  "We have our first class together~"

"Yes--Basic Arcane Defense," Calla said.  "I wonder what will be taught in that class..."

"I might be a bit above elementary, but I'm certainly not advanced. Looking forward to your classes in future years, Headmaster!" Oh cool! Making your own spells? Bristlecape didn't even know that was possible (though it made sense, somebody somewhere must have made the spells she had learned).

It seemed her short lived conversation with the headmaster was over, which was a bit of a pity but then she was still feeling a bit empty when it came to words to speak to him. He was just... Just so amazing! But now she had other duties, the job of showing this new student to his classroom. Oh but he... didn't seem to enthusiastic about being shown around by her.

"Er... O-okay well, right, follow me, I guess...?" Bristlecape's mis-matched eyes turned to concentrate on the map and the halls of the school. So they were at the front door here and... Well the classes were marked as numbers.
"Do you know what your classroom number is? Uh, just you see the map... It only has numbers..." Her confidence in what she was saying waned again, this time she slowed down in her speech and mumbled out the last of it. She had volunteered to help and her she was being less than helpful. Why had she interjected? He clearly didn't want her helping out. Man oh man, she had only just gotten into the magical world and already she was failing to make friends. Well maybe if they started talking?
"I'm Bristlecape, by the way. I've never been to a magic school before, but I've been doing a lot of self study. What about you? What brought you to this school?"

Silas fished for his letter in his sleeve pocket. He had stashed it there just for good measure, not thinking that it would be needed after he walked in the door. Obviously, that was not the case here. A quick tap showed that was not the case indeed, a list of times and classes replacing the greeting.

He, too, had been placed in the Basic Arcane Defense class, which brought a small grin to his face. A quick scan revealed that someone had told of his previous problems, with both Confident Casting and a class on dealing with magical mishaps standing prominently along with the rest. Ah, well. Maybe he could get some good out of both of those, though he had a feeling he would wind up being an example more often than not.

He tucked the page away again, watching as his new friends- at least, he hoped they could be considered friends- bantered and scolded one another. They all sounded like impressive, diverse mages. His own abilities paled in comparison, and doubt crept into his mind. Maybe there was a reason for that confidence class after all.
