"It is more complicated than that." Truce gave the Velix a look, and it shrugged. "However, you have hit upon one of the key points. A person's feelings are most easily influenced by themself."

"I only think about things I like", Lelouch beamed. "Well, at least most of the time. When I am at school, I have to pay attention or I'll get bad grades and no ice-cream." Lelouch actually didn't really get what the Velix was saying - it was too complicated for him, really - but he just shrugged it off. "Huggies and bunnies and ice-cream make everyone happy. I'm sure of it!"

"That makes sense!" chirped Truce. "Unless you're-" Here he paused and looked around, before leaning in closer. "-allergic to ice cream." He nodded solemnly. "It's terrible! I don't know how those people stand it! I mean, I'm not allowed to eat too much ice cream because I'm cold-blooded, but I can still eat it!"

"People can be allergic to rabbits as well," said Hex.

"Oh, yeah. But at least no one is allergic to hugs! Everyone likes hugs!"

Lelouch stared. He had never head about that before. "People can be allergic to bunnies and ice-cream!? Oh no! I bet they are all really unhappy!" He was just glad right now that he wasn't allergic. "I hope they get extra-many huggies instead! Or maybe they can at least have a stuffed bunny! My stuffed bunny is called Mr. Fluffy and he's super-soft, but he sadly isn't a real bunny, so his nose doesn't move." Well, not only his nose, but Mr. Fluffy didn't move at all, which was pretty upsetting. But at least Lelouch could visit the bunnies here in Evelon.

"A stuffed bunny?" Truce himself had never had any stuffed animals. Hex was kind of like one, but he could also talk, and that was even better! However, he realized that mentioning that might not be the kindest thing to say to the young Fellox.

"Did you know?" he said instead. "Once I read this story about a stuffed bunny that turned into a real one because his owner loved him so much! But then he had to go live with other wild bunnies, so it was kind of a sad ending."

Lelouch looked at Truce with big eyes. "A stuffed bunny that turned into a real one?! That's awesome! But I wouldn't want Mr. Fluffy to ever leave me! I bet Daddy wouldn't allow me to keep him if he would suddenly be a real bunny. Maybe he could move but still be a stuffed bunny!" He thought about this. "But I have Mr. Fluffy since a long time now and I love him a lot but he never moved." There was no way Lelouch couldn't love his stuffed friend enough. Maybe only the stuffed bunnies in Evelon moved? "Maybe I should bring Mr. Fluffy here. He might move here when he sees all the other, real bunnies", he mused.

Truce frowned. "Wait...I think there was also a fairy in it who saw how much the little boy loved his rabbit. So maybe there just weren't any fairies watching you and Mr. Fluffy. But I'm sure that if there was a fairy, she'd see how to make everything the way you wanted it!"

"The story is called The Velveteen Rabbit," added Hex helpfully. It knew that the real ending had been slightly more heavy-handed than Truce described, but he was also sure that the Fellox's parents would see how to handle that fact.

"A fairy! I wonder where I can find one! I don't think we have any of those in Pandovia. I'll have to ask Dio since he knows all about magic. It's sad that Dio is a Dracon and not a fairy, then." Lelouch nodded at Hex. "Dio also knows a lot about books, so I bet he can find the story!" Lelouch had, honestly, no idea what 'velveteen' meant, but if it had something to do with the bunny, it was probably a good thing. "I hope there will be lots of pictures in the book! Pictures of the bunny!"

"Well, it is a picture book!" replied Truce happily. "And I think there are lots of different versions of it with different people drawing the pictures! And at the very least there should be one version of it somewhere!" He frowned a little. "It would be really sad if that book didn't exist in your world!" However, he soon brightened up again. "But that would be okay! You could borrow it from a library over in this world and take it home! There aren't any rules against that, are there?"

"As long as it is returned in time and not damaged, I am certain you could bring the book wherever you wished," said Hex.

"Yaaaay! Pictures!" Lelouch beamed. "And I hope Dio and Daddy can read it! They're still learning the letters of this world! I don't, because I'm still not done learning the ones of my world. Reading is really difficult! But if it's a book about a bunny, I want to own it. Maybe Daddy can buy it for me instead of only borrowing it from a library!" Lelouch loved collecting books about bunnies. He had quite a few of them, though most dealt with how to own bunnies. "I love books with bunnies! I have one which has a picture with a bunny with a flower on its head! That looks so cute!"

[Homg I looked up this story online and read it and totally cried. Why would that ever be classified as a children's book?! D=]

Truce looked surprised at the mention of Lelouch's "other language," then nodded. "Well, if it's not in your world, then maybe your dad could make a version that's written in your own language! Then all the people in your world could read it!" He gasped. "And then they would all know how wonderful bunnies were!"

"There would also be no trouble with copyright. The story is very old, and free to interpretation from whoever wishes," added Hex supportively.

[When I first read it, I was too young to really get most of the sadder bits. But yeah, it's pretty depressing.]
