Tiraan rolled onto his side, the slick stone beneath him cooling his body. This is the floor he slept on, ate on... and the only thing that made it bearable was that he could stay in kuhna form. Even if the stone was uncomfortable, and the food given to him was subpar, he could never stand up for himself. Master always did keep an eye on him, or came down to talk to him about running errands or doing any sort of studies. When those books were brought to him, he always choose ones on true crime or genetics. Before he had been captured and sold on the market, he was aspiring to be a scientist, and now it seemed as though the master wanted to bring that up again.

He wished someone better had bought him, preferably one who would bring him into a nice home and treat him with respect--like a human--but he got stuck with some doctor with a screw loose or two. He didn't know what he was working on, but what snippets he did hear were 'dead' and 'animate'. Had he been looking into the forbidden art of necromancy now? Why? Wasn't master like Frankenstein already?

"Tiraan, are you ready for more training?" the voice echoed through the dungeon, followed by soft footsteps down the stairs. The master was coming back down, and at least he didn't sound angry this time. Usually he came to visit him for punishment, sometimes for not studying and other times for no reason at all.

Tiraan looked up, his eyes adjusting to the light that flooded into his prison. When he could see again, the vision of his master was the first thing that came into focus. His hair was a mess, his labcoat spattered with fresh blood. It was the same everyday it seemed...

"Is this him? Is he going to be the one to play with me 'daddy'?"

It sounded like he brought that terrifying puppet with him this time, already her dual-colored eyes were staring intently on him. What concerned him though, was the notion of 'playing'. He knew she was a violent one, so if anything they would be sparring today.

"Yes dear. You two are going to be in the courtyard of the mansion for a friendly spar. I want to test my theory about our guest," the doctor stood there for a moment, looking into Tiraan's eyes, "go easy on him though, but once he shows any sign of his past showing through stop the fight.

"Alright, if you say so..." she turned towards the prisoner, her movements slightly rigid. "Come on prisoner, let us go. There is much work to be done between us."

Nora had always made him nervous, the way she called the doctor 'daddy' in such a sarcastic tone, and just the way she moved. Everything about her was so unnatural, right down to her personality even. True, she was a living marionette like creature-- actually he wasn't sure what she was exactly-- but he knew she was one of the doctor's works.

It was a position he didn't want to be in either. Was that the reason he wanted him to spar? To see his capabilities before he experimented on him and made him into a monster too? Tiraan frowned, deciding not to think of it anymore. Whatever was planned for him, it wouldn't be something he could just run away from.

"Over here, wow have you ever been out of that dungeon much? Such a pathetic little creature you are," the doll giggled, pushing Tiraan ahead of her earning the captive a disapproving groan. "So, the name is Nora by the way. If you are going to call me by something formal, just call me sister or something, since it seems like you are part of the family, or will be anyway."

"Huh?" was the only response he could give before being jabbed in the back with Nora's parasol. He grumbled again and pressed on, just wanting to be outside for a change even if it meant putting up with the creepy doll behind him. Tiraan sighed with relief when he caught sight of the courtyard through the large windows in the hallway. Finally, some sunlight and fresh air.

This little test better work, after weeks on studying about the one he bought at the slave market it seemed all tests came back positive. He was a jailer kuhna, and that was a good indication of his theory already. Granted, not all of his specific breed proved to be executed criminals, or heck, even a criminal in his past life, but Tiraan seemed to be one of the few who fit the bill.

Dr. Drei looked outside from the window on the second floor, watching Nora lead his soon-to-be test subject with her parasol. She always did such a good job corralling would be subjects to do her bidding. He really did hope she would take it easy and not become too serious in their fight, since he didn't need another dead subject by her hands. Nora sometimes... got too carried away.
