Samael's attitude was really rubbing Allovera the wrong way. His overly dramatic expressions and his fake impressions were just grating. What was even this guy's deal? She felt so ridiculous to have even talked to him at all, now, especially considering the things she'd said to him.

Still, she was presented with a hard situation. So, if she didn't give Samael what he wanted, he would follow her. But then, if she did tell him what she was, what would happen then? He seemed just so damn interested, it seemed like he would be stalking her regardless of what she said or did. What was she supposed to do? Apparently, he wanted to know what she was; but she'd been told, clearly, not to reveal that just to anyone.

"Hey, listen," Allovera started, crossing her arms and giving him Samael a nasty look. "It sounds like you're gonna be stalking me no matter what I tell you. So I'd rather you stalk me without knowing who or what I am, than for me to tell you." Plus, honestly, if Samael did follow her... well, her friends would send him packing. That was for sure. "So? Are you pulling down that stupid wall, or what?"

Samael couldn't help but laugh at that, and he tossed his head back. Staring at Allovera with glittering eyes, Samael chuckled. "Very discerning of you. Though rest assured, my intentions aren't anything that... personal. You are quite fascinating, but in the way that a bug in a bottle is fascinating." Samael grinned at that, showing his teeth. "I accept your challenge, little beetle."

She had nothing against bugs, really, but being compared to one was honestly insulting. "And you're as annoying as a mosquito that keeps flying around you all the time," she spat back at him, because if he wanted to compare each other to bugs, she could play that game too.

"What challenge?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow at him. "Me living my life while you stalk me? Or what?" Really, could he just let her go? She honestly wasn't so nervous anymore, considering he seemed to be on the verge of letting that massive wall down. If she could manage to leave this place, then she knew that she would get the upper hand on this guy. "Just let me go already!"

"Oh, pardon me, I had assumed that you would make stalking difficult. It doesn't seem like something that anyone would invite. Anyone with the traditional style of judgement, that is." Samael chuckled, stepping away from the wall, his eyes not leaving Allovera. "How about we make a deal? I'll let you go, and you tell me the things I want to know."

Allovera rolled her eyes at his long-winded explanation. She didn't invite him following her like a creeper, it was the fact he sounded like he was going to do exactly that. Maybe he could use a lecture of his own on figures of speech.

And then they turned in circles again. Allovera could only stare at Samael as he once again insisted that she tell him what he wanted to know. Had she not been clear enough already? She had no interest in telling him anything. "For someone who bothered to insult me from the start," she pointed out harshly, narrowing her eyes at him, "you sure are dense if you still don't understand that I'm not telling you anything."

At that moment, it cemented that there was no other way. She still wanted to try and see if stunning him for just a second would be enough to get rid of that wall, and she'd been stalling for a while. She took a deep breath, and quickly, she shot a ball of air right towards Samael, with the intention to knock the wind out of him. Hopefully he wouldn't avoid it and hopefully it would be enough to give her a chance to escape, if her theory held any ground.

If it didn't... well... she would think about it after.

"I don't believe–" Allovera wasn't able to hear the rest of what Samael believed, because she had just shot a ball of air towards his unguarded stomach, hitting him directly in the gut. With a grunt of pain, Samael fell back against the ground, his head cracking against the pavement. The wall of shadows shimmered slightly, as if a ray of light was trying to shine through, then it solidified again.

Samael opened his eyes, his mind suddenly a haze of pain, and he focused on Allovera's face. "You brat." He said quietly, his gaze sharpening, and his mind suddenly snapped to attention. Raising one hand, Samael gestured towards Allovera, and shadows began to attach themselves to her feet, binding her in place, and slowly began to creep up her legs. Getting to his feet, Samael gently touched the back of his head, his face darkening with pain. "Don't tell me you're part of those pesky air vampires. They've caused me enough trouble as it is."

[Casual reference to Of Vampires hehehe. Sam doesn't have a high opinion of the Duke and Alain for being a pain in his butt lololol]

All of our characters here are icky forever hahah. And homfg hahahah x'D Actually yeah I'm kinda getting the feeling the air family is the jerk of the bunch. I actually don't have anyone from that family yet so I haven't had a chance to play with them much. ;w; Allovera doesn't count since she's only a gross mutt, lol. >:,v]

Allovera gasped and rejoiced when she managed to hit Samael right in the gut. What sweet revenge! Stalling had added a bit of power to that air shot, and she couldn't have been happier for it. Of course, she couldn't celebrate just yet; she needed to see if the wall had disappeared, now that she'd managed to knock Samael down.

When she saw the wall flicker, her heart leaped, and she quickly made a run for it. Much to her dismay, she had to stop dead in her tracks as the wall literally flickered for a split second before solidifying once again. She stood in front of it with her mouth open, shocked that it hadn't been enough to get rid of the wall. "What?!" Now what? Ugh, or maybe she hadn't knocked him out enough. Hadn't he hit his head down on the pavement, though? Ugh, if only she weren't so damn weak...

But it seemed like Samael wasn't quite down for the count. Allovera spun around when she heard him talk, and she held her breath when she saw him moving his arm. Before she knew it, the shadows under her had latched onto her feet; and although her first reaction was to try to run, she quickly realized that they were keeping her in place. "Gah!" she gasped as she noticed them creeping up her legs as well, and quite frankly, she had no idea what to do to keep them at bay.

Before long, Samael was back on his feet, and only now did she realize that she was really in trouble. She gritted her teeth, steeling herself for what was to come, because she had clearly managed to hurt him, if his expression was any indication.

When he mentioned the air vampires, however, her tune changed just ever so slightly. She blinked, and in that moment, she asked, "Wait, you know them?" And it took her a few solid seconds to realize that she'd said something she probably shouldn't have, emphasized by her slapping both hands over her mouth.

Samael rolled his eyes, turning away from Allovera for a moment to gingerly press his fingers against the growing welt on the back of his head. Hissing in pain, he glared at the girl, silently cursing her for doing this to him. "I've had some run ins with the clan from time to time. They're more of a pain in my side than anything else." He narrowed his eyes, a smirking look on his face. "Why do you ask?"

Well, Allovera could still be satisfied with giving Samael that blow to his head. He'd deserved it for leading her along and for keeping her from leaving. She was stuck in a very bad situation now, but still, sometimes it was the little things that mattered, right?

What also mattered was the fact she'd stuck both feet into her mouth by admitting that she knew the air vampires. This whole time, she'd been trying to avoid the mention of what she was, but now she had no idea how to go around it. Samael wasn't human, and that had been established a while ago; which made her all the more scared to tell him what she was. Humans couldn't care less, but even with her, they found a reason to care.

She let her hands fall back, now that the deed had been done, and she bit her lip. Well, seemed like Samael hadn't had a good experience with that vampire family. "I..." She had been good enough in going around his questions, but now she didn't know what to say. "I... have origins there," she finally replied, but she could only curse herself for being so damn stupid. If she hadn't gotten hopeful over someone knowing where she came from, she wouldn't have made that horrible blunder.

"Origins." Samael didn't sound all that impressed, and he began to walk around Allovera in a wide circle. He sighed, crossing his arms in front of him. "That's rather vague. Are you saying that you're part of their clan? Estranged, maybe? Cast out due to some drama? Lord knows that's happened before." Samael scoffed, a derisive note in his voice. His entire demeanor had changed ever since Allovera pushed him down; he was all serious business. "Or maybe you're a little human they turned, kept around as a pet, and then tossed you out when they got bored. Or are you still honored to be a vampire's lapdog?"

Allovera tensed as Samael started to circle her like a predator. She visibly tensed, her head shoved deep between her shoulders, and her arms slightly raised as they wondered what to do next. She tried to follow him as he circled her, but there were times when she was awkwardly and painfully brought back to her original position because of those shadows that kept her feet in place. Her body couldn't turn around completely at a three-sixty angle, unlike, say, an owl's head.

The more he guessed about her, the more anxious she became, and the more she just wanted to leave. "Ugh..." she groaned as he guessed the worst of all the possibilities, though she could only wonder what else she would've expected from this demon. Not only that, but his demeanor had completely changed, with him having a harder grip on her.

She eventually stopped trying to keep up with him, and she sighed, sounding a bit defeated. She wrapped her arms around her stomach, where they weren't quite crossed, but they still gave her that angry look. "Ugh... I told you... didn't I?" she said, looking away and frowning nowhere in particular; just as long as she wasn't looking at Samael. "My mom abandoned me. She abandoned me because she had an affair, and I was an accident." Her head sunk deeper between her shoulders, and she gritted her teeth. "I'm not a vampire. My dad was a human. I'm just... I'm just a disgusting mutt. A dhampyr." There: she'd said it. Would he finally let her go, now? She'd told him what he wanted to know.

Samael's eyes widened momentarily as the girl spoke, and he began to laugh, stopping in his place. "I see!" He brought a hand to press against his forehead, and he continued to laugh, genuinely amused by this turn of events. "I certainly didn't see that coming! No wonder you have issues. And the person you had a fight with was someone who took you in? Poor baby." Samael narrowed his eyes, smirking at Allovera.

Samael's overly dramatic reaction made Allovera regret admitting what she was even more. She glanced in his direction when he started to laugh, glaring at him from the corner of her eyes. "Yeah, go ahead, mock me," she hissed at him, urging him to just air out all of his bank of insults that he had ready for her. In both worlds, she was just a mistake: a child that never should've happened. She was too weak to be a real vampire, but at the same time, she was too powerful to be just a human.

"Are you done?" she asked him through gritted teeth, sinking her nails in her sides, as if it would make her anger subside. "You said you'd let me go if I told you what you wanted to know. Take down that damn wall already."

"Hmmm... I could..." Samael mused, looking up at the sky. The sun was beginning to set, turning the wispy clouds a brilliant orange. "But what is in it for me, dear? You've been terribly amusing; I don't want this blossoming friendship to end right now." Samael looked at Allovera with a pitying gaze, a small smile hovering on his face. "You'll find that erecting walls of brusque rudeness is what will drive people away, and leave you alone and helpless in this cruel, cruel world."

[Laughs because if Sam could fix Allovera's relationship problems with her guardian because of this, that would be so funny x'D Samael unintentionally helps people]

Yeah she overreacts and Hamilcar isn't really... authoritative... so there you go. Lol. Best relationship A++. She does want to go back to him now though. She regrets running off now, lmao.]

Allovera grimaced when Samael mocked her question, as if he were truly and legitimately considering it. What was there to consider? He just had to let her go. Pull down that stupid wall blocking the alleyway, and she would be on her merry way.

She stared at him, dumbfounded, when he still refused to let her go. "Blossoming friendship"... "Walls of brusque rudeness"... Allovera grimaced confusingly at him, raising an eyebrow questioningly. "Yeah... okay," she snorted, looking at Samael as if he'd just gotten off the mental ward. "If you mean 'hitting you in the guts with a shot of air' for our 'blossoming friendship', and if you mean this damn thing that's keeping me from leaving for a 'brusque wall of rudeness'," she described, and all the while, she used air quotes to describe and quote the things in question, "then I don't think we speak the same language."

"Now let me go," she insisted again, all the while trying to force her feet out of those shadows that kept her in place. "About time I go home for the night, don't you think?"
