Phylloptenekke "Phil Coleson"
Location: Lamenolai
"Tuiki..." Phyll checked the paper again, the most bare bones information on his date. There was a letter to imply a last name, but I guess they didn't want to have people finding more information on their dates, it wouldn't make it very blind now would it?
It would have been nice if the names came with a pronunciation key. Not that "Phil" could talk.
"Tuikiyama... Wonder if she'd be annoyed if I gave her a nickname..." he said quietly to himself as he scanned the restaurant again. He had held off on ordering wine for the moment, since he would like to pair it with the meat she would choose for dinner. While a Korean BBQ place was not the most upscale place, he liked the freedom it allowed. Pick what veggies you wanted, and meat, and flavour. It was all up to you to cook it, and he found it could be a lot of fun with the right people. Besides that it was fairly upscale, the servers were professional and cheerful, and the dining area was large, clean, and tastefully decorated in... Well he would assume it was Korean. He could not be sure of that.
Man, he really must be worried about getting stood up if he was overthinking the setting like this. Phyll found himself straightening his suit jacket and adjusting his cuffs, a nervous habit, before he scanned the restaurant looking for somebody who seemed at least a little unsure about what they were doing. He really had not thought he would be this nervous!
