The pair landed, and once she had set the little man on his feet she got straight to work; undid the parachute's fastens and shimmied it down to kick it off her entirely. Then she glanced up at him with a hesitant frown. “You… are a mechanic as well as a pilot, yes?”
His head cocked sharply up and he eyed her. “Is that the only reason you saved me?” Lazarus couldn’t help but ask, not sure if he was grateful or offended.
