Xyshari. Lana.

Xyshari and Lana had left the forest with their sabers still ignited and their hearts lightening a little bit, but as soon as the strange fog faded and they were out of the forest, they realized something strange - the lightsabers lost their color. Both had furrowed their brows, and both had shrugged and sighed. No matter, they decided; they would just continue on and go somewhere else to see if something similar would happen there.

So, they chose to visit a cafe in the large city of Lamenolai.

"You know... this place would almost remind me of Onderon, aside from the lack of color," Xyshari said.

"And the lack of presence of a Sith lord's ghost because he was the one who ruled Onderon for so long," Lana remarked, smiling as she took her wife's hand. "How would you feel about going to a cafe and having some tea? I know it won't be the H'kak you make yourself..."

"I could use a good cup of tea right about now," Xyshari said with a smile.

"Well, then, let's find somewhere that's set up for tea, shall we?" Lana asked, taking a couple of steps ahead of her wife, with the Cathar following behind with little resistance. They strolled down the streets of the city, and made note of the expressions of the people that they did see out and about.

"They're afraid," Lana said plainly, with a note of discomfort in her own voice. Xyshari nodded.

"For color to suddenly be gone... not to mention the other things I've been hearing," she said.

"The other... oh, right," Lana said, the color - if you could call it that - draining from her face. "The strange voices we've been hearing."

"So it's not just me," Xyshari said. "I don't know much about this world's gods, but something clearly has it out for them," she said softly, walking up to a cafe that looked like it was open. Lana nodded, and she followed her wife, grabbing the door and letting her walk in ahead of her as the bell chimed to indicate that the door had been opened.

"Oh! - customers," the clerk inside the cafe said. "I honestly didn't think anyone would be... I mean, that is to say..."

"It's all right, ma'am," Xyshari said. "My wife and I... we've seen and heard worse than this. Survived it, too," she said, with a faint smile. "But, before we sit down, you... are open for service, right? We wouldn't want to impose--"

"Please!" the clerk said. "A few brave souls have come out here, but not many. I miss actually having customers," she said.

"Here, have a seat," the clerk said, motioning to a table that had a... grey tablecloth with paler and darker grey designs. Xyshari tilted her head, trying to guess at what colors had been there before. The clerk offered a small smile.

"When it had color, it was a floral print design. A pale cream with dark green leaves and varying colors of flowers," she said. "What kind of teas do you like?" she asked.

"I prefer something sweet," Xyshari said. "There's a tea I had in my homeland that had licorice notes..."

"I don't know if we have anything like that, but I'll see what I can find," she said, turning to Lana. "And you?"

"Something with a little punch to it, please," she said. "My wife's sweet tooth is definitely stronger than my own, and with what we've been since color disappeared, I need something strong to... wake up, you know?"

"I think I have just the thing," she said. "I'll be along with your drinks in a moment, as well as a sampling of sandwiches and scones."

Xyshari and Lana sat there in silence, with Xyshari tracing the floral pattern on the tablecloth. They could hear movement from the kitchen, and after a few minutes, they heard a scream and the shattering of china. For a few seconds, Xyshari and Lana sat there in silence, and then, they both stood up and bolted for the kitchen.

"Is everything all right?" Xyshari asked, opening the door and looking at the scene in the kitchen around them.

"No! Well... yes. Actually, it's a bit... well... look for yourself!" the woman from out front said, indicating a pile of broken china.

"There IS still color here!" she said proudly, looking back to Xyshari and Lana. "Like I said, business has been slow, so we haven't had a reason to break out the china before today, and... it took us by surprise to actually see some color."

"I can imagine," Xyshari said. "But that must be some measure of relief?"

"Yes! And don't worry - we'll have your tea out shortly, and have this cleaned up and taken care of. I know someone who'll make this cup look like it had never broken," the woman said, and Xyshari and Lana exchanged looks for a few moments. However, they nodded and returned to the front.

"Our lightsabers in that forest, the china here..." Xyshari said softly. "It seems each region has a color that still lingers."

"I wonder what other colors we'll find," Lana mused. "I think I know where I want to take you next."
