They had done it. Color was finally beginning to return to the world!

But for Elizabeth and Psyche, they were not able to enjoy such a joyous occasion right now.

"SKRAAAAAAAWWW!" Came the loud and awful screech of the creature they were currently in the middle of pursuing in the air. Both of them were looking pretty devastated right now, not to mention beaten up, as they were doing some screaming of their own to catch its attention.

It looked exactly like Psyche, who in this situation had to change into her strongest form to deal with what was going on, but... something was wrong with it. There were details that were different, details that made it look more cruel and beastly. Its dark fur no longer matching the stark red and white of the now much bigger dragon that was after it. "Please, Eko! Come back to us!" Elizabeth tried her best to make herself heard over the wind rushing by as they were going as fast as they could.

But the other dragon made no indication that it had heard her.

With the apparent failure of her attempt, Psyche went with one of her own. She had already tried words up until now, but they just weren't reaching her child at all! So she raised up her head and bellowed out a out a loud roar of her own. Elizabeth had to cover her ears for it, but even with it somewhat muffled, the two roars were clearly so different.

That time they definitely heard it, but instead of stopping, or turning around, they picked up even more speed.

That's all the dark dragon had been doing so far, just flying along this rather straight course with no variations anywhere. And from what Elizabeth could gather, they were making a beeline right for the city itself. After what they had witnessed and gone through earlier, her stomach started to turn from the anxiety she felt.Or maybe that was just a little more pain starting to creep up from an injury she hadn't yet gotten looked at. Either way this was a bad sign. "We have to stop her!" She shouted up to Psyche.

But what could they even do? Nothing was working, and neither of them wanted to harm her!

There was a pained expression on Psyche's face as she was faced with the hardest decision ever. Not once has she ever had to do something like this before, but there was a very good chance that others would get hurt.

And not just others. Eko would surely get hurt as well, no matter what was done.

With a heavy heart, she sucked in a breath and took aim. Then with a swing of her head, little metallic balls came flying out of her mouth and aimed straight for the other's wings.

Why was everything so dark? Where was she? What was going on?!

Terrified thoughts whirled around in the little dragon's mind as Eko struggled to make this darkness go away. But the more she struggled, the more things started feeling fuzzy in her head. Like as if this stuff was making her sleepy.

She thought she heard something behind her, and whirled around to face it. But there was nothing there that she could see. "W-Who's there?" She squeaked, now trembling.

It seemed like there was nothing there at first, until she heard a strange laugh that made her jump. Whirling around in a panic, she tried to locate the source. "Poor little child, so lost, alone and afraid." The disembodied voice said, its haunting tones echoing throughout this strange void.

She recognized that voice, she'd heard it once before. "I... I'm not afraid!" She attempted to put on the bravest face she could muster, but it was clearly a lie. "W-Where's my mama!? Give her back!"

She had no idea who this voice belonged to, but they were the reason why she was no longer at the pyramids with her mama, she was sure of it!

The voice would laugh yet again, and the darkness encroached around her further. "Your mother is safe, for now..." It was rather ominous, that Eko had a really bad feeling about this. "What do you mean? You better not hurt my mama!" Unable to think of anything else she could do, Eko desperately spat out small metal balls into the darkness.

She would watch as they sailed right on through into the void with ease, but after that... she didn't hear anything. Did she hit them?

She leaned her head forward to try and get a better look out there, but the voice came right back. "Such tricks won't work in my domain, little one!" Was that movement in the distance? She couldn't tell. "And I won't be the one to hurt her... I can promise that..."

Then from out of nowhere, pain shot through her back and she let out a scream.

The dark dragon let out an ear-splitting screech as Psyche's attack made contact. The metal battering their wings enough that they lost control and started spiraling back down to the ground.

Neither Elizabeth nor Psyche were happy about it, as they watched the once beloved friend and child fall from the sky, far away from the outskirts of the city. Now that she was no longer flying right now, they could try to figure out what to do next.

Following after them, Psyche landed nearby where the other dragon had crashed. There was a forest around here that they happened to drop into, though the evidence was more than obvious as trees had been knocked over, that it wasn't difficult to locate them. And just beyond that mess, the slumped over form of what once was Eko remained motionless.

"Oh..." Psyche let out the most heart-wrenching gasp once she saw them like that. She wanted to go and be by their side, but as things were right now, that was just too dangerous.

"We need to figure out what's wrong with her..." Elizabeth started mumbling to herself as she started poking around at menus on her Digivice.

Although Elizabeth wasn't actually talking to Psyche, the dragon numbly nodded anyway.

But before they could start finding answers to this problem, the area among those broken trees suddenly exploded. At least one tree trunk got flung aside as the dark dragon swung its head up and screeched out into the sky. That earlier attack, and the resulting crash, hadn't been enough to keep them down for very long unfortunately.

"Run!" Psyche snapped as she starting rounding up on the other, getting herself into a defensive stance.

Elizabeth had to stumble her way off Psyche's back, landing awkwardly on the way down, and hurriedly limp away to find cover somewhere.
