Whipping out the next card, Tobias asked, "You can teach any ol' pet to talk, just about. Hey, look at me! I never shut up, either!"The audience laughed. "But where can you find wild Tali who know how to speak Human?"

Discord smiled as Truce hit the buzzer. "It's gotta be Roraldi Forest, Tobias!" Having said so, she stroked the crest of the glumly hissing Carpetfang beside her. He could talk if he wanted to, she was sure. But he didn't, so he didn't. Dis had learned not to ask.

[Freezair]

"He's on a roll, folks! Of course, that one was fairly easy..." Tobias chucked the old card away nonchalantly. From the eves, a disgruntled Rengosett in a pair of denim overalls snarled at Tobias.

"The Breeding Center is located just south of what prestigeous Evelonian institution?"

Rankir hit the buzzer again. "The Evelon Preservation Zoo." He replied bluntly.
Now, he was getting into it. The idea of keystones as a prize sinking into his greedly little reptile brain. He glared furiously at Truce and Discord. He would not lose to some funny little furry serpent. His pride wouldn't allow it!

"Indeed it is! Lovely little place, it is. Not that I've ever been there," Tobias grumbled to himself. "RIGHT! Next question!

"What is the official name of the Grand Cathedral in Lambastia?"

Rankir knew this one as well. He lunged forward again, claw crashing down on the buzzer. It was a wonder the poor thing still worked, despite the pounding and being coated in slime from the last game.
"Lya Pointa Cathedral." He said, the word coming out slightly mispronounced.
He knew this one too well. Lya Pointa Cathedral, haunt of vampires and demons. Almost lost his life there, he did. Got into a fight he shouldn't have. Typical.

"Indeed! So I see someone DOES read those informative plaques!" The audience giggled. Tobias did a strange, swooshing dance move.

"We're in the home stretch now, folks!" he said. "So riddle me this! What pet was first discovered living in Jawan, the sea city?"

This was a tricky one. And... Discord and her "funny liitle furry serpent" didn't feel like being wrong this close to the race's end. But... she had a few ideas about this one. And they could be really, really wrong. But either way... Whether close or incredibly far off, they would lose the same amount of points. Right?

Dis traded an uneasy glance with Truce. The Carpetfang hit the buzzer, more sure of himself that his trainer was of herself. "Is it... one of Morey's old pets? Gypsy the Rattengan?" She winced as she spoke, expecting confetti to be blasted at she and her boy any second...

[Freezair]

Tobias returned the wince. "Truce! Truce, m'boy! You were on such a roll! But... I am sorely afraid to say that that is wrong! You know what happens now, folks."

There hadn't been a Braining in a while. The audience was ready to lap this one up.

"YOU! GET! BRAAAAAAAAAINED!"

A torrent of dry macaroni noodles poured down from the ceiling on poor Truce's head.

"I guess that's what you get for not using your noodle!" Bob quipped.

Discord's wince only deepened; watching nonperishable foodstuffs rain down on your most beloved pet will do that. She sighed as she tried to brush them from his fur, simultaneously speaking soothing words to the Carpetfang. To his credit, Truce was taking it rather well. He held still, with nothing but an angry shudder and and a resigned, sullen hiss. He could not believe that he and Dis might lose to such a snowbound grouch. Discord pulled a face as dry noodles slipped through her fingers.  

"...This is so wrong."

((Well, you and Dis were the only ones really left... Robo was gone for a while, and so was Terri. And if nobody knows... We can't go on! DX So, uh, yeah... That's why I think we should close up. And award Dis her KS.

((Winner by default? Well... okay. ^^;; Sorry for the breakdown, Freezy. I think it was a great format, so long as the participants remain active... And they did, it seemed? The only breakdown was at those rare questions when we just couldn't find the answers. Like, for this one, I was torn between so many, from Gypsy, to the Icthysaur, to some of the Lucain patterns... all had faintly Jawan and aquatic references. You made my head hurt, darlin'. xD

No, really. It was a fine show, very enjoyable, and it let me get Discord and Truculent out of the Terminal. Sometimes the questions were just a mite too vague?))
