Ceana and Cargan walked side by side through the filthy slums. Ceana wasn't sure why they had come here, but Cargan had seemed intent to visit the Slums. Cargan had come here to find a snicky. He thought they were the best Christmas present for his sister, since she found them so adorable. He had tried to get his sister to stay back home, but he hadn' been able to convince her too. He sighed. They soon came to a rather weathered old bench and they sat upon it.

As Orpheus walked through the streets, she recalled her childhood days there. Although she wasn't quite sure why she was here.  "Well, as long as I'm here, I might as well see if I can find someone to play around with. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll find another kuhna to help me explore."  Walking down farther into one of the alleys, Orpheus noticed a  man with a particularly fat purse and decided to practice her pick pocketing skills. Quietly, she inched toward him, but just when she was about to go for the bottom of his coin purse, he turned around and attacked her.  Before Orpheus could do anything, the man had already tied her to one of the power poles and walked away with her coins.  Orpheus was stunned.  She was always so careful not to get caught.  After realizing that she was stuck, Orpheus began crying out in kuhna, but after a while, she gave up...

Ceana had heard the call for help. She turned to her brother, "Did you hear that?"
Cargan nodded his head. "Hear what?"
"That call for help! Come on, let's go!" Ceana said and jumped off the bench. She pulled him off the bench and began to run toward the source of the sound with her brother hot on her heels. "Can you call again?" she called out. Cargan sighed. His sister had far better hearing than he.

"I can't believe I just let myself -" Orpheus suddenly suddenly stopped. She could have sworn that she heard somebody calling for her to yell again. She new it might be a trap, but if it got her free, she would risk it. "I'm here." Orpheus called. She desperately hoped whoever was calling her would be able to find her. Just to make sure, Orpheus called " Over here! I'm stuck in the alley!" She waited and soon she two kuhnas come around the corner. They both came up to her. "Hi, i'm Orpheus. I got in a bit of trouble, can you help me? " She waited for them to reply, but instead, the older looking one went up to her and in one quick motion, bit her bonds of. Orpheus quickly shook herself to get focused, and then asked, "So who are you?"

((For future reference, let me roleplay the part where my kuhnas come around the corner and get Orpheus down. It's called god-moding when you roleplay others characters. I thought I'd let you know, since you're new and all.))


Ceana heard the voice again and dashed off down the alley. She saw her, tied upon the pole. She turned to her brother as if to say you get her down. Cargan took the unspoken order and bit into the rope. It tasted horrible. He shook his head with his tongue out, hoping to get rid of the awefuk taste. He didn't know who this was, and wasn't too sure they should be there any longer. Before he could turn around to go, however, Ceana spoke. "I'm Ceana," she said quickly with much excitement at meeting a new kuhna, which was unsual for her. "And this is my brother Cargan. Who are you?"

" My name, Orpheus said, is Orpheus. Thanks for helping me. I don't really know what happened, but i'm glad you came along." She really was glad they were here, for who knows how long she could have been stuck there. So do you live here ? " asked Orpheus kindly, " Or are you just visiting? "

"Your welcome," Cargan and Ceana said at the same moment. Then Ceana giggled. "Of course we don't live here," she said. "We're visiting," finished Cargan. Ceana grinned at her twin. They always finished each others sentences. Sometimes it even annoyed people.

Orpheus did find it amusing when they finshed each others sentences, but she and her sister did the same. "Well, to tell you the truth, I can't see why you wuld pick to come to this place, but hey there are a lot of things to be discovered here."said Orpheus to the other two. "Well anyway, would you like to come along with me? I came here for my partener to finish some stuff, but then I thought that I might try to catch a Snicky for her. You really are welcome to come along. I always find it better to travel with some company."Orpheus noticed that she was babbeling a bit and cut her self off to give them a chance to answer.

Cargan seemed to be disappointed by the fact that Orpheus was also looking for a snicky, but he tried not to let it show, or he would dampen his sisters good mood. He simply smiled at Orpheus. "We can help you find a snicky," he said. His sister smiled. "Yeah, that would be fun!" she said anthusiastically.

Orpheus smiled. She was thrilled that she would have some company during her search, although she could tell that that Cargan wanted to find a snicky to. " If we only find one,"Orpheus thought, "I'll let him have it. He seems to want it." It was begining to get dark, and she didn't know what to do. Instead of deciding, she asked, "So would you like to set out at night, or wait until morning comes? It's really up to you, for I have no real preference. Orpheus began to think that she was really going to like these two.

Cargan and Ceana looked at each other. They shivered. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to come outside when it was so close to night. "I think it would be better not to stay in one place for too long," Cargan said. "Yeah, the slums aren't too safe at night," Ceana said. "We could find a place to sleep," Ceana said. She was getting tired. "Okay," Cargan said. "How about under that bush over there?" Ceana looked toward the bush Cargan was refering too. It was kinda small, but it would serve as some kind of cover. The walked over to it and lay down beside each other. Ceana snuggled close to Cargan to keep warm. "Coming?" she asked Orpheus.

"Sure, that should work for the night." aggreed Orpheus. Behind the bush was actually a nice amount of space. Orpheus wasn't exactly sleepy, so when the others had already gone to sleep, Orpheus was still awake. She didn't know the tempeture, but she did know that she was freezing. Reluctantly, she inched toward the two sibilings. Orpheus was a bit shy, but the fact that she was freezing made her bold enough to snuggle up against them. Weather or weather not they knew what she was doing, they showed no sign of it, and soon she was fast asleep.

Ceana felt the warm body of another kuhna on the side that Cargan wasn't sleeping against. She smiled in her sleep at the thought of Orpheus coming over to join them. It was nice to have a friend besides her brother. The next morning when CArgan awoke the sun was just beginning to rise. He opened his eyes and yawned. Fora second, he forgot where they were and almost woke Ceana, but then realized they were in the slums, because he wanted to find his sister a snicky. He watched his sister sleep until she woke up. She opened her eyes and yawned, same as her brother. "Good morning Sunshine," Cargan said, that was his nickname for his sister. Ceana smiled at her brother and snuggled into him. They were always early risers. The sun was still rising.

Orpheus noticed that Cargan and Ceana were already awake, she got up to get ready to leave when she realized that she didn't know where they should go. Orpheus walked up to the others and asked, "So where would you like to go to begin our search? And when is also another question." As she was waiting for an answer, Orpheus noticed that her stomach was growling. The other two were talking things over, so Orpheus left to go see if she could find enough food for all of them. Orpheus went into one of the older alleys and found a nicely sized chunk of meat along with a few coins. Somebody must have been attacked, but I guesse that as long as it wasn't me, it's ok."thought Orpheus to herself as she headed toward one of the cheaper bakeries. When she returned, Cargan and Ceana both had anxious looks on their faces, but as soon as they saw her, their faces relaxed. Orpheus immidiatly saw that the others had probably thoughten she had abandoned them, so she said, "Hey, i'm so sorry if I made you worry. I was just hungry, and I figured you would be to, so I went to go get some food. I stumbled across a nice amount too." Orpheus held up the meat and bread. She sat it down after cutting it with a sharp rock, and they all began to eat. After they were all full, Orpheus asked, "So what do you want to do? "

Ceana and Cargan worried about Orpheus when she walked away without a word. They were both releaved when she came back, good as new and with some grub. They ate their fill, Cargan eating more than Ceana, as usual. "We can get started looking as soon as everyone is ready," Cargan said politely. Ceana nodded. "I'm ready when you are," she said. She licked her fur clean and stood up, Cargan following after he finished his own grooming. "Maybe we sould go to the outskirts," Cargan said. "Snickies like the decaying material found in the jungles around there," Ceana finished for him with a grin. They both walked toward the street, side by side. There feet hit the cold pavement in sync with each other. They even seemed to walk the same. The only difference seemed to be in their voices.
