Plush Slynx

Rose had just went outside for a quick break and when she came back in, she saw a kanua. "Hm, you don't see many of those around here, especially not in that good of condition.  I wonder what they want." Rose opened the door and stepped out to go see who it was.  While she was waiting for him to finish asking one of the customers a question, she heard her name mentioned. "Hey, if you're looking for Rose, that's me. What can I do for you?"

(Hey, would you mind if I gave her a human form? I have a really cute one for her, and it would match her perfectly.)

Cargan turned to the plush slynx that was addressing him. "You're Ruby's daughter?" he asked the slynx. He was relieved to find her, though he hadn't expected a slynx. "'Cause if ya are, I need your help," he continued.

"No problem, just ell me what you need to do, and I will try, but don't ask me to do crazy things.  I don't do those."  said Rose.  She was curious about what he wanted. "Hey, so what's your name?  I don't belive I know it.  But wait, let's step outside and dixcuss this further."  She headed out the door, looked back, and saw that the Kuhna wasn't with her yet.  Rose took this oppurtunity to morph.

Cargan followed the slynx outside. He ran a hand through his black hair and sighed. "I'm Cargan," he began. "And my friend is hurt and I need help to find an antidote." He pulled the piece of parchment out of his back pocket. "I was told you could help me find this," he said. The map was rather old and the writing was fading, but it was clearly a map of the slums and it's outskirts. A bottle was drawn in the outskirts portion of the map.

"That's weird, it looks like one of , well, never mind. Ok, sure. I'd love to help you here, but how did your friend get this type of poison in her?  This poison only comes from certain places, and well, it's just, let's say, rare.  But how long has she been like it?  She may not make it if she has been like it for a long time. In that case, let's get going." Rose said. And with that, she began walking away, a bit embarrassed about how she tended to babble.

"Well," Cargan said. "A battleheart claw got her. It hasn't been a day yet." Cargan followed Rose. He had no idea where they were going and hoped to find out.

Ceana had fallen asleep, but her dreams were not pleasant ones. She dreamt of the battleheart Dorgan. He was chasing them, looking for her. She awoke in a sweat, eyes staring. Ruby rushed to her side and calmed her. "Cargan will be back soon, dear," she said reassuringly.

Dorgan was still in the air, searching. He thought he saw the pair of them running below, but soon dismissed them. The one he was after didn't have a pink companion.

"Well, ok then.  If she hasn't been like it for to to long, we will probably have about 5 days to find an antidote for her. Now I can't guarantee what we're looking for will be easy to find, but if there is any living right now, it would be on the outskirts of town, in the begginings of the Tengel Rainforest."  Rose had grown up living first with her mother, but after a major disaggreement with her, Rose went out on her own.  After being jobless for a while, the bar owner found and hired her, and ever since then, Rose had lived on her own.  She hadn't been to see her mother since she left.  "Ok, let's go then." Rose said, and began walking toward the forest.

(Hey, so do you have any idea what the antidote should be?  I can't seem to brainstorm anything, but I was hoping that maybe you could?)

((Maybe scales from the battleheart that have healing properties after they have been crushed down and mixed with something? I'm not exactly sure. PM me if you want to discuss it further.   ))

Cargan nodded. "Okay," he said, "Then we best get going." Then he followed Rose on their way to the outskirts. The sky began to grow dark outside and he wondered if they would ever be able to find the antidote. He was already blaming himself for getting Orpheus into this mess, not he was to blame if she never woke up again. He felt like he was being wieghed down by the many troubles of the past few days.

Rose, who normally tried to stay out of others messes, could sense that Cargan was depressed.  "Ok, I am so going to regret this." thought Rose to herself.  "Hey, look.  Unless you paid the Battleheart to do this to your friend, it isn't your fault.  And not to mention that worrying about it isn't going to help her.  You need to focus on the goal, ok?  Now, the antidote we are looking for is in a few different places.  The antidote is complicated, for tit is made up of three different things.  The part of it that we are looking for now is the sap fro one of the Bristle Pines that are seen growing on te outskirts of the forest.  The next is a crushed Battleheart scale, and the last part is the deacy that is left behind from a snicky.  We should be able to find the sap somewhat easily, the decay by simply going around the forests outer perimeter, but I have no idea how to get the scale.  Fighting isn't exactly my forte."  Rose was out of breath, and stopped there, looking for a good place to spend the night.  She found a few fallen logs, and shoved them up against a tree, covering them with some big palm leaves.  "Home sweet home." she said.

Cargan's head was spinning with these new facts. "Wow," he said, "We better set off first thing tomorrow. The first two sound easy, but the battleheart scale is going to be hard. Fighting isn't my thing either." He ducked into the small lean-to. He lay down on some of the moss that was growing on the ground. Not the most comfortable, cleanly thing, but it was better than nothing. "Night," he said to Rosa. He lay on his back for some time before falling asleep. Maybe we can get a scale from the black market, was his last thought before drifting into a calm sleep, somthing that was uncommon during this stressful time.

"Night" was the last thing that Rose said before drifting off to sleep.  Soon though, it was morning, and Rose knew that they needed to be going.  She walked over to Cargan, and hoping not to startle him said, "Hey, come on.  We have to get going"

Orpheus was laying on the bed, still as could be.  She hadn't come out of her self induced coma, in fear that it would give Cargan less time to help.  She no longer thrashed in the bed, but not because sh was calm, but because she could feel the poison creeping through her veins, making everything to hard to do.  Even breathing was painful, and she knew that if she used up any more energy, she would wake up.

Cargan awoke with a start. He ws usually up by this time, maybe his body had needed the extra rest he had gotten. It was about and hour after sunrise, he could tell. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Morning," he mumbled before he sat up. He stretched, then stood up. "Let's leave the shelter here," he said. "Maybe some other creature will need it." He walked out of the little lean-to. The sun was shining brightly, a good omen. "Lead the way," he said to Rose.

Rose was ready to go, and agreed with Cargan.  Another creature would need it, and it would be there for them.  "Ok then, so let's head a bit more into the forest.  That is where the trees were're looking for grow abundantly. Then we just head back into town and on the outskirts should be some decay." Rose said, and started walking.

((Sorry it took so long to respond, I've had a rough time the last week or so.    )) Cargan took off after Rose, eager to be on his way and cure Orpheus amd return to his beloved sister. He hoped they could find the ingredients as soon as possible. He trudged after Rose through the gloom cast about them by the trees above them. He was walking across a blanket of mud. With every step he took he could hear the 'squish' from his boots making contact with the earth and then lifting up from the ground.

Soon the duo were nearing the grove in which the trees that they would be needing would grow abundantly, especially around that time year.  Upon entering the grove, Rose went straight up to the biggest tree, unsheathed on of her delicate claws, and made a small gash in the bark where a small amount of sap started flow out.  Rose pulled something out of her skirt that turned out to be a test tube, and with it, Rose quickly collected a small sample of the sap, and then turned around slowly, saying, "Ok, with that done, all we need is some snicky decay, and a battleheart scale.  Since we will probably need to head back into town if we hope to find a scale, we'll also probably come across some of the snicky decay.  Sound good?"  Rose wanted to get out of the forest, because she felt that the person who they were doing this for didn't have much more time left.

(Don't worry about it, things can be pretty hectic around this time of year, so it's ok.  Kinda my fault to for not responding before too.)
