When the little Kuhna stepped into the arena, Typhoon had let out a gasp of alarm. Such a small creature! she mentally exclaimed. I hope I don't hurt her too badly! Typhoon bunched up her legs and leaped into the air, spreading her wings and taking flight. She flew over Aurora, and from her body she let lose a charge of electricity- not strong enough to harm the Kuhna too badly, of course.

Aurora grinned as she felt her claws meet skin. I'm doing alright so far, she thought. But I shouldn't get cocky. Aurora eyed the Paragon flying through the air, and decided to aim for the only thing she could reach: Typhoon's tail. The Kuhna ran at high speed toward the flying Paragon, using her tails as rudders to keep up. Then she leaped high into the air with her mouth wide open and long fangs exposed, aiming straight for Typhoon's tail. Maybe I can grab on! she thought.

Typhoon yelped in pain as the Kuhna's claws raked her wing, causing her to stagger in flight a bit. "Good shot!" she panted, smiling at her opponent. Say, this was rather exciting. Now Aurora was aiming for her tail, so she did a 180 and turned so she was facing the Kuhna. Typhoon let rip another charge of electricity headed at Aurora. She missed last time, but hopefully she'd hit this try.

(The way an elemental one hit attack works, and I checked with Kodai to make sure I was correct, is that it can only be used one time per battle, even if it misses. Think of it as an attack that has to be charged. Once that charge has been released, you need time for it to build back up. For these elemental attacks that period of time doesn't fit within one battle.)

Aurora gasped inwardly at the electric shock to her body. "Y-you're not so bad yourself!" she said, still holding on to the Paragon's tail with her teeth. She'll probably have to charge up some to do that attack again, Aurora thought. So this is my chance to counter! Aurora clawed her way up Typhoon's tail and legs, until she was on the space between her wings. Aurora proceeded to rake her claws as fast and hard as her legs would allow her across the dragon's back.

[Thunder]

Typhoon silently cheered in her mind as she landed her hit successfully. But now Aurora had climbed up onto her back. She winced as she felt the claws dig into her scales. The Spark Drake immediately began to fly in erratic patterns. Up, down, this way, that way, and even a few loops, anything she could do to throw the Kuhna off.

Khia let out a small sigh, shaking her head. That hadn't lasted long at all. She felt kind of bad for the other Kuhna, going up against such a large beast. They had been rather close in skill though. Probably the only reason the Paragon had won was the fact it could take to the air, giving it a bit of an advantage. Motioning to the man at the desk, who seemed on the verge of falling asleep again, she made sure that he crossed out Aurora's name.

"Great fight, but hurry up and get off my stage. The quicker you move the quicker we move on to the next fight." Rushing them off, the Tonji Kuhna looked around for the next two fighters, making sure they hadn't run off during the first fight. "Alright kids, looks like Shrewdberry's Drawser and Shieba's Dyugra are up next. Come on, come on. Hurry and get on up here."

Oh dear Xai're, was it already her turn? Just watching that poor little Kuhna get defeated had turned Drawser's stomach into a knot. She had been so unwilling to come here, too, that she had forgotten to include her name on her form. Oh, dear, why had Albert done this to her. She did not want to be here.

As she stepped into the arena, she fidgeted where she was, uncomfortable and stressed. Whoever her opponent was, she just hoped they wouldn't be too hard on her, and that they wouldn't beat her up too much. She was a pacifist, and she didn't belong here... Oh, even now, she kept wondering why she had to be here. Even though her coat was stone, you could tell by her drooping tail and her worried eyes and expression that she did not want to be here. "Oh please let this end quickly..." she murmured to herself, trying to keep herself from chickening out of this.

Dyugra stepped into the arena, ready to battle and took a first, good look at his opponent. A Hunter. This would not be easy. And again, just like in the last tournament, he was fighting someone who had a spiked body. He vividly remembered how he had nearly speared himself the last time. Was he cursed or something that he had to go against someone like this again? Just great. But then again, it made everything just so much more interesting again. This was his chance to show how much he had improved since the last time...

And then what? She was supposed to go first? How... how do you 'go first'? She couldn't even understand all that battle lingo, and no one had explained anything to her before sending her into the arena. Oh, Xai're... this wouldn't end well. She didn't really like this whole battling idea, not at all.

After fidgeting in place and going from one side to the other, Drawser finally started moving in a somewhat battle-like maneuver. She slowly dashed for the Fellox, before eventually increasing in speed and aiming for the Fellox's side, hoping that her tough claws and teeth would make this battle end quickly, likewise for the Fellox. She didn't really care who won this; so long as it ended quickly.

Dyugra waited patiently - it was obvious that his opponent was feeling very insecure and the more nervous she got, the better. When the Hunter finally started her attack, Dyugra concentrated on his dark magic and evading instead for the moment, trying to dodge the attack while throwing his black energy at her. So he wasn't a potent mage at all, but getting a magical blow in, even a small one, wouldn't hurt at all. Well, it hopefully would hurt her, but...heh. Dyugra smiled to himself. Ah, fighting was great!

Somehow, her attack had landed on her opponent, and somehow, she had managed to avoid this scary-looking attack of dark energy. With the adrenaline and the stress, Drawser tried her best to set herself into a battle-mentality, to focus on the battle and to fight it as best she could. Well, she hadn't gotten hit this time around, and she'd landed a bit of damage... but clearly, this opponent couldn't be taken lightly, considering Drawser's claws had barely done any damage to the Fellox. She would just have to keep pushing and attacking... At least she didn't have to worry about that dark attack anymore.

Taking a step back from her first, Drawser bared her teeth and growled quietly before dashing for Dyugra again, this time a bit more confident.
